Haven't been here for awhile. I ordered the Avacado/Turkey Croissant sandwich with coleslaw and side salad. As you can see by the picture the side salad was not fresh as I would have liked it. The A/T Croissant was very tasty and the coleslaw was sweet tasting. The waitress was OK. Twice I had to ask her for a proper container to take my sandwich and coleslaw home. I wasn't going to put coleslaw in the same container as my sandwich-wet sandwich! ughh

The staff is nice enough, including the cook and wait for a nighttime visit with the place almost empty.Definitely skews to an older clientele I imagine for breakfast and old style "diner" type vibe; you won't get a lot of strong flavors but I think if you have dietary restrictions that might suit you.The food: it was as expected, nothing stood out to muchPricing, about $10-$15 a person or so; a little less expensive than other sit down chain spots locally.

We had breakfast at this restaurant yesterday and were quite pleased with our meals. I hadn't eaten here in sometime so I figured it was time check it out again. The restaurant is a local place that is mostly patronized by older folks from our retirement community. The restaurant is pretty spacious and I have never had to wait to be seated. In addition, they have a separate room that is available for large groups.I ordered chicken fried steak and eggs, my wife had a short stack of griddle cakes and sausage patties. My chicken fried steak was plenty big, breaded and cooked perfectly. My over medium eggs were just right, hash browns were crispy (exactly as I ordered) and the biscuit and gravy was fresh and not salty tasting at all.My wife's pan cakes were large, fluffy and full of fresh blueberries. Her breakfast also included two sausage patties the were not overcooked and had great flavor. Both of our meals came out of the kitchen piping hot which is a huge plus in my opinion. The servers were very attentive and our drinks were always kept full and we didn't feel rushed at all.The only two small negatives regarding this restaurant are that it's kind of hidden in an older shopping center and they do charge $.50 to use a credit/debit card. Neither will keep me from coming back again.Overall, I like this place and will come back again.

Classic strip mall breakfast place with a clientele that might be described as largely "retired." Mind you, our visit on a Friday at 10:30 AM might notably have contributed to this octogenarian inclination, but in my late 40s, I was definitely one of the younger customers.Which is neither here nor there, as the service was attentive, patient, and expeditious. Our party of five ordered various breakfast dishes; my Denver omelette with cheese, sourdough toast, and hash browns was tasty in the best short-order-diner sort of way. Mrs. Picante would have preferred berries with her oatmeal to the offered musk-melon trio of cataloupe, cassava, and water, but she ate every bite.Pretty reasonable prices; our party of five escaped for under a bill, including tip. Coffee never got below tue halfway mark thanks to great server. It wouldn't be Hemet if we didn't get a personal visit from a panhandler who graciously showed us his tracheotomy and asked for money despite the protests of the wait staff... but a simple "no" and a smile sent him to the next table and out the door unburdened by any additional scratch. Godspeed, jefe.We would totally eat here again-- good hot food, served by nice folks and offered at a reasonable price. Takes me back... to my thirties.

J&M's is our go-to restaurant here in Hemet. They have a wide variety of foods so everyone can choose something and be happy. We love that they always have different soups (and they're delicious) and always have new specials to try.All the waitresses are friendly and are a lot of fun too! Definitely give J&M's a try!

Quality and quantity of the food was great with outstanding service. Ambience reminds me of the old Bun Boy restaurants, open and friendly.

Is this the worst place I've ever eaten? No. Was it disappointing to spend over $100 on this meal to go only to get home and find it was incorrect and bland? Yes. If you order online via Grubhub please note that they do not read or acknowledge any of the customizations at the bottom when you put in something like "no dressing on the salad" or "please grill the onions, we can't eat raw." Or "please add cheese to the plain burger" which, mentioning the plain burger - it wasn't plain, it came with mayonnaise on it which my kid was bummed out over. The potato skins aren't even full sized skins, they're potato halves cut in half... which I guess is a good way to increase profits but they were the first potato skins I've ever had that were extremely bland. Also, for $8.99 that side of 9 onion rings is just a little sad. I know the economy is bad right now and restaurants are suffering but I was honestly expecting a larger amount in a bigger container and not a tiny side of onion rings. What we got I would have called maybe a half order at any other establishment. The fettuccini was bland, the chicken added to it was dry, not a piece of broccoli in sight, which the menu didn't mention but it's pretty standard elsewhere. Just about everything was extremely bland. My mom did enjoy the potato salad, my youngest enjoyed their fries, and my dad said the chili was good, I didn't mind the garlic toast with the fettuccini and salad it was on a very nice thick egg bread, but everything else seemed very lackluster. The time estimate online said my food would be ready at 3:22pm but it wasn't ready until close to 4pm due to the size of the order, which I didn't mind waiting 20 minutes longer after I arrived for thinking the food was going to be good. I even tipped 20% to be kind when I ordered...We probably won't be back, but if it's close to you and you don't mind bland food and small portions, go for it. Really nothing to write home about here. Noticed a lot of seniors here, so it's probably a popular hangout for knitting club, book club, and Bible study and they probably really enjoy the lack of seasoning, but if you're expecting bomb diner food, this ain't it.

Was drawn in by the diner family restaurant vibe . Upon walking in was greeted and sat ourselves . They have a large menu with many different options and serve breakfast all day ! We were very excited and hungry . The waitress was quick and took our order and got things moving for us . The issue was the food . I ordered a crispy chicken tender salad and when it came out and was placed on the table I could smell it was off . The sliced egg on the salad was grey instead of yellow and smelled rotten . My husband ordered the pulled pork sandwich and it came out covered in coleslaw . The menu doesn't mention that it had that added . He tried to eat around it but the pork was tough and unchewable . The kids breakfast plates had some weird sausage that had no flavor and tasted like fat . In all honesty I have never tasted a sausage like that and I hope that I never do. Then the kicker at the end is the price ! We couldn't bring ourselves to complain because it was awkward . You know when you send out bad food and I'm not one to argue about it , about every plate . 100 something dollars later and feeling like we got - got . Will never come back here . Probably the worst dining experience we've ever had .
