Overpriced beverages, but it's on a college campus so it's to be expected. However, the assorted pastries are priced fine. If I ever swing by for breakfast, my usual order is a toasted blueberry bagel with butter and a small or medium hot coffee of the day. They have a table on the side with a cream dispenser and sugar packets for people like me who don't always like drinking black coffee. They also serve different soups on each weekday, which are served in a cup or bowl size. The soups can be quite tasty, though not very filling. This is my go-to place for order since it's near the center of campus where all my classes usually are.

Great coffee stop if you don't want to visit the Coffee Bean or Starbucks on campus. Prices are reflective of the location on campus. Fun Fact: Ivan's is named after Chancellor Ivan Hinderaker. Get it? Ivan's at Hinderaker.

5 stars for the best and my personal favorite coffee spot on UCR's campus. When I'm on campus, this is my favorite place to get coffee. My usual drink is an iced hazelnut latte or an iced caramel machiatto. On days I don't get to eat breakfast, I will also order their blueberry bagel toasted with cream cheese. Never disappointed! This coffee place is located at Hinderaker hall, sandwiched between the humanities building and the arts building. There is only 2 small tables outside for you to sit and enjoy your coffee, but they are usually either taken by staff or a grad student eating lunch. I would usually take my coffee to class. Price wise, I prefer this over bytes and coffee bean, only because when I pair my drink with my bagel I would spend less than I would at coffee bean. If you want cheap coffee, I would say go to scotty's at the HUB. But it's hot, so I like to come here for my iced drinks. Taste wise, I also prefer this place more because of the strong coffee taste I get. When I'm at coffee bean, my lattes always taste powdery and I don't really like that. This is where I spend all my dining dollars (besides starbucks) when I'm on campus. It's a small place but the coffee is great!

This is a nice spot for UCR students. It is very convenient, especially when you didn't have a chance to get breakfast and/or your morning coffee. They have good tasting coffee and assorted pastries.

As far as coffee on the UCR campus goes this is my third favorite. But that's only because I'm more of a latte person.Sweet drinks here aren't the best. Avoid drinks that will hit your sugar tooth. However, if you're one of those people who drink their liquid gold (coffee) black, then by all means this is the place for you! Their daily brew is really good! I'd say the best on campus. Close to humanities and hinderaker as well as on the way to the gym and a lot of the parking. So it might be worth grabbing a cup after class for the long walk back. Or if you're visiting the campus and taking or taking a tour, it's close to the tour office and financial planning office! So drop on by and get a daily roast!

What's the big deal about Ivan's? NOTHING.They serve just an average cup of coffee that you can buy at a gas station. They probably use Folgers--cheap and inexpensive. Their pastries? Nothing spectacular. Most of them have pre-packaged wrappings that suggests they were bought from somewhere else. I can open my own Ivan's if I had a Costco membership. All I need a coffee grinder and a can of Folgers coffee beans, maybe some cinnamon rolls from Stater Brothers too. All of this should do the trick. Ivan's: stop stealing our money and start making your own authentic food and drinks!

Cute place to get coffee. Nothing too extraordinary. It's nice because you can also order breakfast and lunch! I usually get the mango smoothie here.

I stopped by here once and kind of regretted it, but I'm not going to bash it because it's still pretty alright. I got a medium iced chai tea latte one morning for $4.19 and was pretty "meh" about it all. Was I too sleepy to care? Possibly. Was I just really craving a chai latte before my wretched discussion? Definitely. So here's my wake up announcement to you: GO TO COFFEE BEAN INSTEAD. Yeah, the lines may suck and stuff (read my Coffee Bean review if you want to know what I mean by "stuff" - #selfpromo), but my medium was the size of Coffee Bean's regular and I could have gotten an iced chai tea latte for $0.70ish cheaper. Aside from the size, I was annoyed that my latte was predominantly milk and ice. Enough with the cons, you say? Where are the pros? Here:- eco-friendly material (thank you)- friendly workers (thanks u make my day even tho u prob hate ur job) - "crowded" means 5 people tops ahead of you in line TLDR: Make the trek up the stairs to Coffee Bean if you want to treat yo'self but also make getting a drink worth it.
