Ichikawa Shabu Fondue

So this is another place that my husband and I were super excited about. I was more excited because my husband hasn't really gone out for Shabu since he's been more of a KBBQ type of guy. We came super hungry because it was ACYE. But we're super disappointed because it looked like there were only two people working there. One chef and one server. I tried to take a step back and say OK I get it, not that many people want to work nowadays, especially during the Saturday of Thanksgiving. But it would have been nice if the worker said, hey so sorry we're shorthanded and it might take a little bit longer. But they didn't really say anything about the extra long wait.My husband was getting a little bit hangry but as soon as the food started to finally come out, it made everything better because the flavor and the broth was really good. We did like it because the unlimited bar had shrimp, calamari, udon, mushroom, bakchoy, Ramen, and unlimited eggs.At the end of our meal, we were actually really full and happy. It was just unfortunate that it took forever for the food to come out. At the end of the day, we would likely still come back, but just hope that there are more servers to get the party started earlier! :)

I absolutely love the couple that own and run this restaurant. They are so kind. They have been hurting since the economy is not great, finding good help etc. The service can be slow at times since it's often times just the wife. She is so sweet though and who's in a rush anyway? The food is good. I always order the sweet broth and my partner orders the pork broth, both good. The meat is great too and so are the appetizers. The little ice cream is a great addition to the meal. If you're not in a rush and want to support a literal mom & pop establishment with friendly service, this is a great place to try. Price is right too as it's all you can eat and very yummy.

If a restaurant isn't busy and packed with diners, it's usually a bad sign. I wished I listened to my instinct and walked out faster, than I walked in..lol! Not the best shabu shabu experience.First of all, service was slow. Took forever for them to fill up the pot with broth and bring out the meats. Meat aren't unlimited and limited to 3 servings only. Quality of the meat was average. Certified angus steak was tough and chewy. Appetizer were in same boat as well. California roll was a disappointment, could hardly taste crab meat. Seafood and vegetable buffet section was okay and not as big as other AYCE places. Patrons next us were drunk and loud which was annoying.On positive note, szechuan and sukiyaki broth were flavorful and delicious. Best and yummy ice cream selection. We love ube and mango ice cream. Excellent sauce station. Restaurant is spacious and has a great vibe. Plenty of parking available.All in all, $38 AYCE is no bueno. Definitely not coming back.

First time here, last time here. Came here on Friday night, for dinner, they had 2 service people -- waitstaff, host, bussing and tables. Both were definitely underwhelmed and couldn't service everyone appropriately. Definitely waited at least 20-30 mins for our broth alone, we had to ask about status 2x and each answer was not a clear answer. Then we found out that the burner was unplugged and not working, this happened 2x. We didn't bother to ask for water refills because we knew it wouldn't come. Came here with my family, wife and 2 sons. It took well over 20 mins for my son's meal, Karage chicken and rice, which I found to be extremely weird given we ordered the tempura and fries -- as if they turned off the oil or just forgot about his order. For a $100 meal, we expected a lot more. The food was just okay, the seafood out to pick for AYCE was questionable, not much veggie selection and just felt subpar.

Came here for lunch on Saturday. It's slow.Wait staff is super friendly. Parking in mall. Accepts credit cards. This AYCE shabu allows you to choose 2 appetizers, 2 broths, and 3 rounds of meats. In the side there's a huge unlimited veggies and mushrooms bar plus a noodles and seafood bar.Great selection of ice cream. Drinks extra

Consistently a family favorite for our Shabu Shabu cravings. My son and his dad especially love their sukiyaki broth, the sweeter and savory broth, while I opt for their miso or a spicy broth. Their sauce bar has a variety of toppings (green onions, radish, garlic, sesame, etc) and their meat and vegetables, noodle bars have a delicious array to choose from too. It's another great all-you-can-eat spot and one I visit frequently. Their appetizers also have a great selection: gyoza, tempura.

I originally found this hotpot spot while I was pregnant and now my baby is 8 month's and enjoying my favorite food with us. There's really nothing negative I can say about this restaurant. The food is bomb, the calamari is really good, the spicy edamame is just spicy and garlicky enough to really enjoy the flavors. The broth we always get is bone broth spicy level 3, and Tom yum spicy level 2 and they're really flavorful not watered down at all. The meats are super fresh they literally cut it to order, so it might take a little longer for it to come out but totally worth it. The service is also amazing and the place is always superrr clean.

Way too expensive for what you're getting, slow service, the seafood bar had a very strong fishy smell, most broths had no flavor, they had less than half of the meat options listed on the menu, and they charged my party an 18% service fee without even telling us until they brought the bill out. We would've appreciated at least a heads up. If it's true that this place is closing down soon, I wouldn't be surprised, avoid.

so sad this place has gone down hill.the service was just bad, the server was intentionally ignoring me. several food I tried to order, they didn't have them. took forever to bring the 2nd round meat for all you can eat.
