Boy did I have a really good time. It was such a good time that I was so worn out. I didn't make it to the end of the time frame. But I wasn't the only one. They're quite a few people getting off towards the end. That being said, if you don't run onto the ice when they first let you in, I'd say it's a good idea and the cuddle thin out. That being said, the ice is really choppy. The rink is kind of small. And it can get pretty crowded but as you can see in my picture taken about an hour in of the two hour timeframe, it really started to thin out. I'm just a beginner skater and there were plenty of other beginners which made it feel kinda nice when I fell I didn't feel too embarrassed. Maybe a little more embarrassed after the third or fourth time. And if you want to stand on the side and watch, you might get a chance to see some really talented skaters, and what they can do with a pair of rental skates and choppy ice. I am truly impressed. I also have to mention that I wore some really thick socks and had my skates on a little too tight. And my mistake was to loosen them up which caused a blister on the side of my foot. I feel like I should've known better. The good thing is they were ratchet buckles so it's pretty convenient to tighten and loosen as needed. It's a good mental note for the next time I go.

Ice skating next to a giant Christmas tree adorned with color changing lights was truly a fun experience, especially at night. Plenty of people agree, since the wait for this experience was two-three hours long on a Saturday night. As long as you're okay with waiting in line for a while, this is one of the best winter activities in the area. Parking/Location: Irvine Spectrum is busy on weekend nights. Parking might take a while but you'll eventually find a spot, even if it means walking far. Thankfully, it is still free and there's parking surrounding the entire mall. The ice rink is located near the Ferris Wheel, which is also decked out in holiday lights. Dress warm for the weather at night, since there aren't any heating lamps. Wait/Pricing:My only complaint is that there isn't an online reservation system in place. Getting into the rink is first come, first served. There is an option is purchase a "jump the line pass," but this was $45 per person (and there's a limited amount of these sold per session). We ended up tag teaming with our group to stand in the 2 hour + line. We arrived at around 5 pm hoping to get into the 6 pm session, but the line was already really long. We ended up getting into the 8 pm session because the 6 pm one was full. They offer a military discount, so we paid $21 per person which includes skate rentals for a 1.5 hour time slot. Price-wise, this was definitely worth it at night but I don't know if the line and regular price ($25) is worth it during the day. Ice skating:Lockers were available for rent (I think it was 75 cents). Staff were really friendly. There were about two staff members who were on the rink to help people who fall. The rink itself isn't too large. The middle of the session felt the most cramped. There were adults skating but also lots of little kids. If you have small children and they're still learning to skate, I wouldn't recommend going here because it got crowded and some adults/children weren't being the most safe. They have helmet rentals if needed. As long as you're mindful of your surroundings, the ambiance was great at night. There were nightly tree lightings every 30 min starting at 5 pm and holiday music played the entire time. Overall, I would say it's worth the wait as long as you're going at night and willing to wait in line.

This ice rink it is so much fun. It is our Christmas time tradition. The atmosphere it is fun, great music and fabulous staff. My kid Felt down and Kyler one of the managers immediately helped him with an ice pack. And concern by asking him if he was alright and or if he needed anything else. He stayed with us for a least 5 minutes making sure we were ok. Thank you so much Kyler for a wonderful assistant. He also was very helpful to other people in the rink. Kelly one of the other managers gave us passes for next time since my boy couldn't go back to skate. She was very understanding, compassionate and also let us to my other kid and me to continue enjoying the night. Kelly thank you so much. I definitely recommend this place or Kyler and Kelly for any questions help you may need.

If I could give this zero stars I would 1000% , completely unorganized and unprofessional.. You wait line for 2+ plus hours just to get told that there's not a chance you might get on.. wouldn't recommend to anyone stay far way from here.

It was great, my children loved and enjoyed their time there. They really did feel the Christmas vibes more by going to the rink this year, I think we'll be going every year from now on. New Christmas tradition unlocked! :)

After waiting an hour in line, one of the attendance told us the rink was at capacity. They should've posted with the capacity was prior. Bad management, it happens. If you want to ice skate, you are better off going somewhere else.

I accidentally threw the ice skates on the table too hard without thinking about it and I was too embarrassed to say anything and dashed off in the heat of the moment. One of the guys called me out which is understandable and I told him it was an accident and he ended up being chill about it so in the end it was chill.

Gray for families who are not serious about skating. For those who really want to skate, it is too small and too crowded!

I didn't enjoy the ice skating here. They have you wait in a long line and don't tell you if you will be let in or not! So super rude and not appreciated. They should do a count off or something so people aren't just waiting for half an hour not even knowing that they will get told no to the ice skating.
