First off, I've never been here. I'm from the other side of town near Madison st where there is Ho Ho Chinese food. I've been a fan of them for years and years. On to the review here at Hong Kong. The place is tucked away in a mini mall, it was almost bear closing time, there was a small family eating inside. I was greeted right away when I walked in, the staff were nice and asked what I wanted to order. I asked for the 3 item combo with orange, teriyaki and sweet and sour chicken with the 1/2 fried rice and chow mein. I noticed right away the sweet and sour chicken wasn't dry popcorn chicken like at Ho Ho's, but instead it was saucy like the orange chicken. I got home with my food and basically ate almost everything. The teriyaki sauce they give on the side was so delicious. The food was so good and hot.. I am definitely trying this place again, I want to try the mandarin chicken. It looked good.

I first started coming here while I was a poor college student. They would always pack the plates until they could barely close the lids on the boxes. After moving away from Riverside and then coming back, I found it pretty lacking when it came to Chinese/Chinese American fast food. Sure, there are a few Panda Express or Pick up Sticks around but they're all decently more expensive than this place. After not coming here for nearly 10 years, I decided to check it out again. My memory didn't fail me as they still pack their plates very full. I noticed they had a family meal on their menu as well which I decided to order a couple weeks later when I had a group of friends coming over to my place. I called in the order over the phone and they said it would be ready in about 15 minutes which was a lot faster than I had anticipated. I had left over for days with the family meal even after my friends and I all had some. If I'm ever in the mood for some classic Chinese fast food, I'll definitely come back here.

I was at my hotel and craving Chinese food so I saw the very positive and also negative reviews so I wanted to judge this for myself and so glad I did!! So hold up, where are all these bad reviews coming from!??? I just had one of the most flavorful shrimp fried rice dishes I have ever had like in my life and I haven't at some of the best Chinese places across the county. The rice was full of flavor and big large shrimp was used unlike other places that use cocktail shrimp. There was plenty of shrimp in the rice as well and didn't skimp on it like other places. I can't say anything about the service since I had ordered out nor the ambiance. However, based on the taste and overall flavor of the rice and the hot and sour soup that was also on point, I would definitely recommend and I would eat here again. This was a very comforting meal and a super good fried rice that I will go back for next time I'm on the area! If you are looking for a good Chinese place, give this place a try! Don't pay attention to the naysayers or negative reviews! This is a good option to eat at!!

This family-owned restaurant has been a staple on University Avenue for a very long time. Their format is familiar to anyone who's ever eaten at Panda House: Pick a combination of 1-3 items and choice of rices, chow mein, or both. They do a brisk delivery business via Uber Eats, Doordash, and other services, as well as take-out or dine-in. The food is fresh, and occasionally, they'll run out of some items. I'd rather they 86 something than serve it subpa.Rating, this is hard without having a rotary scale for the process instead of aggregate scores. I'd say 3.8 but can't 'round up' to 4, for example, because there are reasons it's not a solid 4.The food is really salty, for one thing. I didn't realize how much until later on when I felt dehydrated. The leftovers the next day confirmed my suspicions. Nevertheless, the BBQ Pork was pretty good, and I loved the orange chicken, too. Fried rice is pretty simple here, no prizes, but the chow mein is decent. I like the friendliness of the owners and staff, so that's also a plus. I'd dine again in case you're wondering, the food does look fresh and inviting.

This place has gone down with up charge with price and food quantity. $4 dollars for a small plain rice. Take your money across the street!

I was craving some Chinese food and this restaurant popped up on my radar. Typical Chinese takeout place near UCR, clean with friendly staff. Prices were ok. Sadly, the food is just ok. The freshly made fried rice wasn't memorable. The chow mein was better, slightly chewy with decent flavor. I got the BBQ pork and orange chicken as my proteins. The pork lacked flavor and was a little dry (maybe I caught lunchtime leftovers). The orange chicken at the Panda is better.Lately, the portion sizes of these kinds of places is all the rage online. They did have a good amount of food, but it was almost all rice and noodles. You get around the same amount of meat as PE. I might give it another shot, but for now I'd only go there if I was really craving Chinese and had no other options.

We've been coming here for yearsss! either ordering to go or on food delivery apps. It's always amazing. Everything is delicious. The chow mein, egg foo young, kung pao are among our top favorite. Very flavorful, fresh and employees are always nice and helpful. it's Chinese fast food so if you want something else go somewhere else. I don't understand the negative reviews on here. Every time we've been here it's delicious. The prices have been going up BUT the quality is still there. Today we ordered the kung pao chicken and that thang was FILLED WITH CHICKEN. so they are not short changing you here. Love this place 10/10
