This place is tiny, has a menu on glass window by the main door and another menu by the counter. The two tea dudes were fast and efficient. The place was well illuminated and had a cozy warm feel compared to the outside weather. My gf got the Thai tea, with oat milk and she loved it. She rated it a 9.5/10.I got the Suzu...i don't member the next work buts it's a strawberry milk drink. Not too sweet but, the strawberry and soft warm delicious boba kick it up a notch. This was the perfect pick-me up to help me finish my work shift. I would rate this strawberry drink a 8.7/10.I am definitely going to go back and try their other menu items :)

Hoji Tea - The Best Boba You Almost Drove PastThis place is so hidden, I'm pretty sure it's in the Witness Protection Program. Blink while driving, and you'll miss it--only to turn around, question your life choices, and finally find boba nirvana.Let's talk about the tea. No, actually, let's talk about the boba--because Hoji makes theirs in-house, which is basically the boba equivalent of a five-star, farm-to-table experience. Soft, chewy, and just the right amount of sweetness--this isn't your average, mass-produced, questionable-textured tapioca. It's elite. And the vibes? Imagine stepping into a time machine set to "Early 90s Classic" mode. Small space, big energy--like a cozy tea-drinking party where everyone's in on the secret (except those poor souls still circling the block trying to find parking).Bottom line: If you love good boba, great tea, and a little adventure, Hoji Tea is your spot. Just don't blink--you've been warned.

The hojicha with sea salt cream was overly sweet. I ordered 75% sweetness. The flavor of hojicha was underwhelming. We also ordered the matcha latte and it was okay. I think it might be because they use cane sugar for their sweetener which changes the flavor of drinks drastically. Maybe they can try using agave or simple syrup to give their drinks a different taste. Parking lot is nice. Interior is a nice cute vibe but it's very small inside. Def a grab and go. I am willing to give them a second chance if I am in the area again. Next time, I will stop by and revisit my review.

Stumbled upon this boba shop while on the way back from a Big Bear trip and the drinks here are sooo good!! I tried their Miyazaki Hojicha with Salted Cream at 75% sugar. Their tea is strong and flavorful, and when I mixed my drink, the cream added some milky-ness which I liked. I loved the roasted flavor from the hojicha and you could tell it was quality tea. We also tried Miyazaki Hojicha with Black Sesame Cream, which was delicious with the black sesame that paired well with the drink. We also tried the Nilgiri Organic tea which was refreshing and light. The inside decor has very retro Japanese-theme vibes. It's very small inside and they have a few tables outside if you want to hang out. I think it's more of a grab and go type of place. It was a little difficult to find since they don't have a sign on their building, but we were able to find the sign on the door. They offer handmade boba, but we didn't add it to our drinks, so I'll have to try those next time I'm in the area!

This is an amazing boba place. They make everything in house including the boba. Yes, the boba! It's handmade boba! That blew my mind! When I heard handmade boba. Did someone say handmade? Now this is my #1 boba spot in the Redlands and Loma Linda area. My family loved this place. I think since we've found this place and it's only been a month, I think we spent over $1000 already. The services are great, the quality of the products much as boba and teas are hand-pick standards. If it's not hand-picked it seems like it is. It's very nice to find something this quality around here.

Been wanting to try this place for a while and finally got to make my way down to Redlands. They have very unique Hojicha options that I've never had before. I got the Hojicha + sea cream with boba and I really liked it. The boba is really good and different from the typical tapioca pearls. The matcha latte with oat milk was not bad. Not super strong but just smooth. I also tried the hojicha + black sesame and I was surprised that I actually liked it too. You can tell that they brew their hojicha tea cause there's tea dust which is legit. This is located in a random business park but there's lots of parking. There are NO restrooms here.

Was a little skeptical of this place but I have to say, the quality of their matcha is next level. The drinks are very well crafted. This place is proof that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. Admittedly, I would have never found this place. It's tucked away in a small industrial complex. Also, if it hadn't come highly recommended, I probably would have turned around. The place kind of gives me gamer dorm room vibes. 90s grunge in a way that comes off a bit affected. Also, it's super small. That said. I'm glad I didn't let my apparent prejudices deter me. The drinks are really delicious. I had an matcha latte with oatmilk. I also grabbed a iced assam with sea cream for my friend. She raved that it was incredible. I'll definitely back. The staff is great.

Located in a pretty nondescript and unassuming looking business plaza, Hoji is by itself, a shop that has a lot of character - in addition to having GREAT drinks - despite its pretty small size.We had the Black Sesame + Hojicha with homemade Japanese boba that was absolutely wonderful. It was sweet without being too sweet and the boba was really soft to chew. The Hojicha + Oat was also great too...it had all the deliciousness of a great milk tea but with much less guilt of drinking something potentially fattening. And to see a drink priced at a little more or less than $5 depending on what it was, almost brought a tear to my eye but I am going to guess lower costs of running a business in this area is a contributing factor.Hoji's use of traditional looking library cards not just as stamp cards but also to adorn its walls with hand drawn anime art was also really creative and a welcome sight for an otaku like yours truly to see. Pair that with the music that was playing and the overall vibe of this place is just so...cool.Hoji is definitely a place we will always go back to each time we visit Redlands!

I've been looking forward to this trip to Redland just to visit Hoji! There was plenty of parking when we arrived, though it's easy to miss since it's tucked away in a plaza filled with other businesses. But as soon as we walked in, we were blown away by the unique decor! The interior has a retro, pop-city Japan vibe, with quirky and eye-catching decorations everywhere. We ordered the Nilgiri Sea Cream with their handmade Kobuto boba and a Matcha Americano. Both drinks were incredible! My partner, who usually isn't a fan of boba, is now a convert thanks to Hoji. You can tell they put so much care and effort into each drink. Can't wait to come back and explore more of the menu. Until next time, Hoji!
