HoAloha Hawaiian BBQ

Pretty darn good! Found this place on Yelp, happy it's near home, so we decided to try it out.We ordered:Chicken Katsu PlateBrulee Spam MusubiBbq Chicken BowlBbq Beef BowlGarlic Shrimp PlateBbq Beef Cheese FriesWe enjoyed all of the food. Our kids dusted their bowls and us adults killed our plates. I would totally come back again. We came a little too close to closing time so the kids were bummed because we didn't get to play their lil claw game and order shaved ice. So we'll def be back. Happy to support a small business with solid food! (My only critique is their rice was a little dry, but maybe it was an off day, lol)

I was craving some teriyaki chicken but I didn't want to go to the usual spots. I decided to check this place out instead. Not only was the portion pretty big, but the bbq chicken was super tender and charred just enough for my tastes. When it come char-grilled, I'm a person who doesn't like a lot at all. I just want like some of it charred for the crunch but the rest of the outside left tender.And this fulfilled the criteria perfectly.I thought the ambience was okay. The spot was kind of small, but there were still a lot of two-tops and it was pricier than I thought it would be, even with a daily deal. $5 for a fountain drink is kind of up there.But the service was good and the food was top notch so when I get my next craving for a good bowl, this is where I'm going to think of.

3.7 RatingOrdered the Chicken Katsu Plate and while it was crispy, it was also pretty dry. Even while adding more sauce to the dish, I got some sort of bland taste overall. For a mere $17.95, I was expecting the taste to spark my taste buds, but just like my situationships, I was led on and left slightly disappointed. I would say the mac n cheese carried HARD and was actually really good. I think there should be an option to substitute some rice for more mac n cheese! The Musubi was fine too, but it just kept falling off. It fell off every time my friend grabbed some and it took my entire musubi-eating experience to hold everything together while devouring it. Overall, it tasted fine but nothing that sparked my interest again.Service and Ambiance were super clean up! Our cashier was friendly and they were able to deliver it pretty quickly since we were on a time crunch.

Meh... I ordered on Yelp via Grub Hub and it was smooth. Food was ready at the prescribed time and it was an easy pick up. The food itself wasn't great. Spam Masubi fell apart. The loco moco bowl was not good. The patty tasted like a frozen burger patty. The gravy had 0 flavor. The rice was mushy. Overall really disappointed.

First time visiting. I have the Hawaiian BBQ plate and my husband has the chicken katsu plate. Each about $15. I think it tastes pretty good. They gave us two sauces. Chicken katsu is a bit dry but very crispy. I'll give something else a try next time. I might try a few masubi, which they have many variety. Place looks okay. Service was decent and fairly fast.

Not the best Hawaiian food and katsu I've had. Very mid quality. The macaroni salad was tasty but the katsu was a little dry and the katsu sauce was not too great. Very watery sauce consistency. The spam musubi was decently made but not worth the higher price.

I just came here for lunch. I'm not very picky about my food, but I ordered a loco moco plate. It was $20 total. The patty was so dry and tough and the eggs were hard and rubbery at the bottom. The sauce was also super thin, but it tasted the best out of everything. It didn't come with the Mac salad I just got rice. It may have been the DoorDash fault for not providing me the option to select. For $20 it wasn't worth it. Overall it was okay, I'm down to try the other items but I wouldn't get this again.

Vegan review: HoAloha is a fast casual Hawaiian restaurant with a few vegan options. There is seared tofu plate or fire tofu and tofu fries. They also sell dole whips, shaved ice, and specialty sodas too.I ordered the seared tofu plate with white rice and salad. They gave me macaroni salad, which I can't eat. When I pointed this out they brought me out a new plate quickly. I appreciated this. The tofu was good and they gave me what seemed like almost a full block of tofu. It has some kind of teriyaki sauce on it.The decor inside is cute. Plants, jewelry, and other gifs are sold at the cash register.

Y'all trippin. I love Hawaiian food. But I'm very picky. I can't eat it from anywhere. I was in the area and I was hungry. I'm always in this area and I wanted to try this place so I did. So glad. I read some bad reviews but I hope mine helps. I got the chicken and katsu plate. With rice and Mac salad. Everything was delicious. The chicken was soft and flavorful. The katsu was crunchy and fresh. The Mac salad was creamy and well seasoned. Service here is basic. Menu, order, sit lol this place is clean and well decorated. Next time I come, I'm bringing family/friends. Highly recommend. Prices are fair. Parking is cool. Plenty of options of you don't k ow what you want. Anyway, Lee up the good work guys. Best chicken katsu, always comeback for that with their homemade Mac salad. Wednesday is chicken katsu plate daily special. Good deal. Crispy spam musubi it's so amazing! Definitely recommend to try it. It won't disappoint you. They also have shave ice. It is the best ever!
