ListenThis is not going to be the best poke you've ever had in your life. The service is great though they hire the nicest employees. It will become a vibe for your UCR days but that's about it. Options are limited on campus and if you're a fish connoisseur this will satisfy you for a moment.Really 3.5 stars because of the quality but bumped to 4 because they were so kind especially after they reopened from the pandemic.

TLDRPoke: 4/5In full honesty this place is probably one of the worst poke spots I've been to. However, if you're on campus, your options are pretty limited. Desperate times call for desperate measures. In those desperate times, I call for hibachi San to deliver me pokè. And hibachi San will in turn, deliver a bowl of fresh-ish fish (I think it's fresh but it's also drenched in marinade, probably to keep it from going bad) with some very suspect sushi rice (this is part of panda's policy for foods, sushi rice is traditionally room temperature, but panda can't do this because it goes against their health safety policies. Thus, they serve white rice instead, at a very toasty 135 degrees Fahrenheit). Their pokè is actually not so bad. It puts the OK in pokè. I would come here if you're stuck on campus, and don't have the time to drive a mile or more to much better places.

it is open now. it has a lot of technology issues at the moment. they could not accept my dining dollars due to the system being down which was inconvenient. in addition, they have closed early before due to their technology problems. the food was mid tbh i've had better poke and it was rlly expensive imo. the passion fruit mango black tea drink was too sweet and i did not get any sour kick from the passion fruit. it j tasted like the mango nectar juice you get from costco. i got the last bit of tofu so it was soaked in soy sauce and they ran out of rice so the salad was the only option. the seaweed salad was nice though! and the student workers were super nice and kind. they even gave me a lot of tofu. also the ginger slices were nice.March 4 edit: If i could i would give it 3.5 stars due to the kindness of the staff. the boss has always given my extra tofu and i rlly appreciate his kindness.

The food is filled with salt. Anything but the rice feels like they dropped the whole bottle of salt on it, especially the avocado and og tuna/salmon.

My favorite option for lunch at UCR. Is it the best poke in town? No... but the food options at UCR are so slim that I'm giving this an inflated 4 stars. The servings are large: a small with 2 scoops of protein is more than enough to fill me up. The yuzu salmon is pretty tasty, their sauces are flavorful, and there's a decent variety of toppings to choose from. The line can be long but it moves pretty quick because they've trained their staff to be assembly-line efficient.

I go there at least couple of times a month since it is one of the only healthy food places on campus. However, the fish has added avocado and onion to it, I'm not sure if it's to reduce the cost of a serving or to give it flavor. Onion is also often added to food for shelf life and it's strong odor takes away from the fact that it might not be as fresh. I am not saying this is the case, but I've never been to a poke place that serves fish with avocado and onion. Also the workers are kind of robotic, at least two instances where she tells me to pick my three proteins when the large bowl comes with five. Serving sizes are not consistent and sometimes getting a regular bowl is the same as getting a large bowl, but people who get the large bowl will pay extra.

First time trying this place and it was alright, had a regular bowl with 2 scoops of beef and 1 scoop of shrimp tempura. Service was good and the line went by very quick even during the lunch rush. I don't know why it says temporarily closed just like all the other restaurants, but nothing in that place is closed it's all open! You can find the hours and days it's open if you look on the UCR dining webpage. Would give this place 3.5/5.

One of my favorite places on campus if I'm in the mood to have sushi or a poke bowl. Poke bowls are made to order. Their seafood is flavorful and fresh. I also go there for their tea bar drinks. My favorite drink to get there is the Strawberry Fruit tea with green tea and boba. The strawberry is really sweet and it's really good. Sometimes the boba is good and sometimes not. Sometimes they run out of boba. If I wanted a high-quality boba drink, I would go to University Village since they have 7 Leaves, Sharetea, and Boba Cafe.
