Place use to be Soup Plantation on Hospitality/Hunts Lane in San Bernardino. Nice, clean and organized. First time coming here and check out what it's all about. Had to pay first before get seated. Party of five for us. Table is set up with own electric stoveand pot for base soup. Selection of chicken, beef or vegetable soup base. Choice of seasoning flavor like pho, spicy black bean, miso, hot and sour, hot and spicy and ramen. Meats choices are beef brisket, belly, chuck eye, top blade, rib eye and chicken breast. Picked brisket and belly and not disappointed. So thinly sliced and takes only a couple of minutes and ready to enjoy and entertain your palate. Dipping sauce available like house sauce, ponzu, spicy, soy mustard, sesame and peanuts (note:"if you have allergen, notify the server"). Lots of choices on seafood, vegetables, ramen, tofu and different types of noodles to add on to your soup. It's a fun experience of eating especially for my grand kids. They said it made them feel like they cooked their own dinner. Meat refill served by robots which is kind of new and techie. Very good service. Staff frequently come by and check. Cost per person is a bit pricey but again you get what you pay for. Already planning on another trip back. Will recommend to anyone for a visit and check it out.

Located on Hospitality Lane in San Bernardino, Hello Shabu is easy to get to. It had a nice, large exterior and interior. There were plenty of parking spaces. The ambiance and decor inside were Asian inspired. You walk in and pay first but how can you pay for gratuity before you even get served? You get a table number and shown to your seat. The place is huge! Surprisingly they were full of patrons but there was never a wait. It was my first time and our waitress was very attentive. She showed us what to do. I'm confused as to why she brings us the seasoning for the soup when they are at the buffet line but that's nice. What she didn't tell us was to make sure to get some ponzu sauce to dip your veggies and meat in to cool off the food. She didn't tell us how to turn down our hot pot as that boils fast. All that we had to figure out. Once we did, we were set. We were there 2 hours and she didn't kick us out. My favorite things: korean fried chicken, tteokbokki, Quail eggs, clams, mussels, vegetarian soup base, peanut ponzu sauce, ponzu sauce, Spam, miso seasoning, szechaun seasoning, shaved ice (yum!), hot milk coffee, and ice cream.

This was our family's second visit here.Ironically we came here last year for Valentine's Day to celebrate as well. Enough parking available. As you enter, we can immediately tell that we would have to wait because inside the place was full which is a good indication that the food here is good. We already knew that which is why we came back to celebrate. We put our names on the list since they don't take reservations and got called 26 minutes later. We just waited in our car because there wasn't enough seats inside the lobby or you can sit outside in the cemented picnic area. The price was $35.88 per person for dinner on a week night. Gratuity was included. You pay before they sit you down at a table. The decor inside was pleasant and there are two flat screen TVs to watch what was in but you're not there for the atmosphere or TV, you're there for the AYCE meat. You select one out of the six choices for the base of your soup. Then it's a self serve for the seasonings you want. The waitress will arrive asking 2 choices of meats you want served first. We selected the beef brisket and beef ribeye. Then you go to the buffet area to select what vegetables you want to add to your hot pot. There is such a huge selection! I just selected vegetables that I love. Then there's a separate area serving Korean cooked food too, but we didn't even try them since we got filled up with the hot pot we prepared. Yea, you have to cook your own meal, but that's the fun of the experience of eating hot pot. The robots serve your meat to your table. The waitress comes by to pour your soup base in the pot and they turn on the burners for you. Be mindful to get only what you can eat. The meat and vegetables cook fast. Later, you push button to call back the waitress to order more meats. We were completely full with four orders of meats each. We were totally satisfied with our choice of food because we selected the seasoning to our liking. If you come here, make sure that you're hungry because you'll definitely get your money's worth.

Surprised to find such a cool restaurant in the IE. The service of humans and robots ;) was great. The food was amazing amazing amazing. Tip: unless you can really pack the food, don't add any noodles bc you can just keep ordering the thinly sliced beef. The pansu sauces were great. There is a ton of different sides you can add. The shaved ice is great and the ice cream is also good. The coffee was also good (my wife had 3 cups). Basically you just choose the flavor broth you want, pick your flavor/ spices, choose your meat add you sides of veggies and or seafood and cook it in the broth bowl right on your table. This was a great dinner and a great experience. Definitely a great date night dinner.

All you can eat Shabu AND shaved ice? BET! Hello Shabu is a hidden gem in the city of San Bernardino. Head over to the bar to get your veggies, seafood, and dipping sauces to get your perfect hotpot They have beef brisket, beef belly, ribeye, and a few other protein options to choose from They also have a buffet section with popular Korean dishes like Tteokbokki, fried chicken, bulgogi, and corn cheese Lunch is $24.99 and dinner is $29.99. Definitely worth every penny The restaurant itself is pretty big. I think it used to be an old souplantation. Servers are nice and will refill your broth when you need to. Your meat is delivered by cool robots!

Upon entering, go toward the register where you pay first & then are seated. The menu explains each step: choose broth, choose meat, visit bar for seafood, veggies, dipping sauce options, drinks and dessert. Each person can choose two meats, which is delivered via robot. There's a 90 minute time limit, and service was painfully slow and appeared to be short staffed (only 2 servers) on New Year's Day. It seemed as if the bell at the table did not work, because we pushed it several times and no one ever came; so we had to flag down staff each time we wanted to order additional meat and broth. The broth base is very bland (almost like hot water) and the seasonings are much needed to flavor the broth to your liking. The meats are cut to order, and our favorites were the beef belly and beef ribeye. The self serve buffet station is clean and replenished often. It has everything you need, plus all utensils, chopsticks, napkins, etc. They have a large selection of fresh vegetables, fish cakes, noodles and seafood (shrimp, mussels, clams and crawfish) as well as steamed rice and other hot food such as gyoza, chicken and fried rice.

My favorite AYCE shabu spot! I was sad to see Souplantation go, but my heart has been filled with Hello Shabu. Hello Shabu is fairly clean, stocked and service is quick. The buffet options serve a lot of veggies, noodles, seafood, sauces and side dishes. There are only 3 soup options and you'll need to flavor the soup yourself from the buffet. The meat has been the best quality I've had in AYCE so far and the pieces are large. Drinks, dessert and small bites are included.

I tried this place out a couple weeks back and i must say this place was ok. I had my far share of hot pots and this one was kind of a last resort. The place gives you an all you can eat buffet vibes a lot of seatings perfect for big groups . Their menu choices were very straightforward and understandable . The broth that we chose was miso and I must say it wasn't the best you have to add flavors to make it enjoyable which was fine. The service was pretty quick for when we went it wasn't so busy so we got our meats and all that good stuff on time. The meat was nicely cut and enjoyable.I wouldn't mind coming back to give this place another try to see if I'll like it the second time. But thank you Hello shabu for a great meal

Our first time trying this place, it was OK. Having to make your own broth flavor was tricky & a little frustrating since I'm used to pre-made broths. Having to pay for my 3 1/2 old even tho all he ate was like 1 piece of chicken .. sucked lol. However, I liked the buffet style self serve with all the veggies & their sides to choose from was nice. The little robot server was a cute touch my son was entertained. The service was okay, no complaints.
