The Hemet Airport Café used to be one of those reliable little airport diners--nothing fancy, just solid, straightforward food with a bit of old-school charm. But over the last couple of years, the quality has started to slip. The kind of place where you once got a well-cooked breakfast and a strong cup of coffee has turned into a bit of a gamble. The food is still standard diner fare--eggs, bacon, pancakes--but it's clear they've been cutting corners.Service is still friendly, but the kitchen has slowed down. What used to be a quick, efficient meal before a flight now drags out longer than it should. The place still has its charm--watching the small planes come and go is always a nice touch--but it's not enough to make up for the drop in food quality. It's not a bad spot, just a disappointing one. If they'd tighten things up and get back to what made them good in the first place, it could be a solid little airport diner again. But for now, it's coasting on nostalgia more than anything else.

Delicious!Small little airport cafe. You can watch the planes from inside, as well as a patio outside. Service was friendly and prompt. Hubster and I ate here yesterday morning. He had the Runaway and I had the Kentucky Hot Brown. Both were perfectly cooked and very filling. Well worth the drive for us. We will be back.

We went here after a run/ hike. We were all super hungry and the food hit the spot! Portions were great, food came out hot and yummy. The staff was super friendly and fast to take care of us. Being able to see airplanes taking off and coming in was fun for the kiddo and adults.

What a hidden gem! We stopped by this cozy breakfast spot inside the small Hemet airport before my son's flight training, and it exceeded our expectations. The food was not only reasonably priced but came in generous portions that were both filling and delicious. Every bite was packed with flavor, and it definitely started my day off right! The friendly and attentive service made the experience even better. If you're ever in the area, this is a must-visit for a satisfying meal with a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Stopped by with my dog and appreciated the dog-friendly outdoor seating. It's a fun spot to watch planes come in while you eat. The outdoor area was a bit chilly, so I'd recommend bringing a jacket if it's a cool day. Overall, the food was tasty, and the service was great--definitely worth a visit!

The pancakes were amazing. I also had the hash browns. I ordered a side of fruit and it tasted a bit off and sour. I was too shy to say anything. Either way, I'd return for the pancakes.

Been coming to this restaurant for a long time it has always stayed the same and its quality and its performance cleanliness etc. Awesome to see the airplanes land and come in while eating breakfast with your family or friends.

What I really loved about this place was the ambiance and vibe. It's a classic country diner vibe with a fun local airport atmosphere. Food is basic and burgers are obviously frozen patties. But not bad if you set your culinary expectations to a realistic level. Prices are a bit too high for the quality of food imo. I got the hanger burger which was quantity over quality. I might be back to try something different.
