The reviews were a bit misleading. The pizza was acceptable but we would not order again. The lasagna and garlic bread was better and a good value - I'd go here again if I was craving this and was too lazy to make my own. The restaurant itself was very 80s inside and not that clean.Service was good and the waiter was very nice.

We hadn't gone out for actually months after a severe surgery of mine. We decided to at least get me out for a ride and bring home lasagna. It use to be our "go to" for really good lasagna. We purchased two lasagna dinners knowing we would have plenty for a second meal. So we thought. My wife's foil container was full and heavy, mine however mess barely half way to the top, runny with watery diluted sauce my mine was floating in. Simple solution was divide them up into equal portions and dig in. Before doing so we both had a couple bites...... now my review on food quality though the portions were done by a small child without a clue.....The lasagna tasted like dirty dish water. Seriously like dish soap sauce. The pasta was so overcooked it wouldn't hold together. No need to cut a piece with your fork (fork from home because they sent none home with us) it fell apart into shreds almost like cut up spaghetti. Dug through to see if I had just started at the wrong place on my dish, but the entire foil pan was the same. Fair amount of soapy tasting meat with sauce barely thicker than water. I make an awesome "Sunday gravy" so this is NOT some slant description. It was either eat what was in front of me or have toast for dinner. We chose Guy's over going to the grocery store at quitting time. Bad move on our part. What was always my first choice within miles was no better than a grammar school cafeteria lunch. Hey Guy's, new cook? Run out of ingredients or a giant brain fart as to how to even make a good sauce? TBIS WAS NOT AT ALL WHAT HAD BEEN THE "NORM" FROM GUY's.I will list what we received and then what we didn't:We both got lasagna that tasted of soapy dish water. We both god I assume was supposed to be garlic bread but was instead was oil soaked bread that fell apart as soon as we touched it. Had little flavor and left a very bad taste in our mouths. We got runny see through sauce that had not been prepared or simmered with love but instead watered down waaaaaaaay too far to even hold the dish. As I ate the bottom of what was still in my tin slid out from under where I hadn't touched diluting my dish even further. I opted for a spoon at that point as it was running through my fork. So, horribly runny soap like sauce. Pasta that was so over cooked it was breaking down into the runny sauce. Oil soaked tasteless bread that was dripping with oil. The soup wasn't bad for the teaspoon full of ingredients beyond the broth. The entire meal was soap like mushy want-to-be-pasta with almost no tomato or onion/garlic to be found. Again like cafeteria food on left over day. What we didn't get:Well the quality was shot to hell but on top of that we got no parmesan cheese, no red pepper to even spike it up. Soup with very little in it and of course NO UNENSILS OR NAPKINS!We didn't think to check the bag that was tied shut, because the norm from Guy's was the opposite containing both utensils, cheese, red pepper and NAPKINS! WTF were we supposed to eat this sloppy mess with our hands. What if we went going home where we had our own to use! Good thing we had our own parmesan, red pepper, utensils, napkins AND ALL THIS CAME IN A TIED SHUT PLASTIC BAG WHERE EVERYTHING HAS SOAKED THROUGH, SOGGY BREAD.....even the tops for the aluminum pans WERE SO SOAKED THEY COULDNT BE REUSED FOR WHAT WE CHOSE NOT TO EAT. IT WAS T JUST BAD IT LACKED ANY PRIDE OF PREPARATION, IT LACKED ANY QUALITY AND CERTAINLY LACKED A PROPER SUNDAY GRAVY (Italian meat sauce for those not familiar with a proper Italian Sunday gravy/ragu) all wrapped up in a soggy mess which leaked all over everything even through we took great care in making sure our meals were transported just a short few miles to home. No quality and a total ream for our money. I SERIOUSLY DOUBT WE WILL EVER GO BACK EVEN IF OFFERED TWO REPLACEMENT MEALS. WHO PUTS THIS SHIT IN A BAG OUT THE DOOR. We aren't the send it back to the kitchen kind of folks but had we chosen to eat at the resturant id not only have sent both plates back but I would have cheerfully asked for the owner to explain all the above and also were they using a new staff in the kitchen. NEVER AGAIN GUY'S and I'll be sure to direct everyone I know to this absolutely honest and concise review. A jar of Classico and a box of store bought pasta rains supreme over the absolute lousy meal we paid good money for. Guy's will soon be another failed business in the area due to their own choice to send crap out the door in the place of what use to be our first choice locally. A McGagme meal meal from the Golden Arches would have been far better. NOW THE BIG WPRRY IS WHAT WE FACE IN THE MORNING IF OUR BODIES WAIT THAT LING TO PURGE THE SLPO WE PAID FOR.....LATER GUY'S IT WAS NOCE WHEN YOU ALL GAVE A TINKERS DAMN WHAT YOU SERVED TO YOUR PATRONS.

Hubby and I have driven past this restaurant numerous times as we're unsure as to whether or not they were open. Since hubby's job chose this restaurant to have a holiday party, this provided the perfect chance to see what vegan friendly food was available at the restaurant. Although I had planned to see what food options they had available, since the restaurant had no website or update menu photos on Yelp, I was interested to see what meat free food options they have to offer.Upon entering the restaurant, we were warmly greeted by restaurant staff and quickly seated. The restaurant area where we were seated was cramped and but staff made the best of the situation, were friendly and attentive.Meat-free menu options were a house salad and a create your own pizza. After seeing the menu choices, I decided to order the house salad with Italian dressing and a small create your own pizza with green olives, black olives, mushrooms, and no cheese. Both the salad and pizza were okay. The salad was a basic salad with olives, lettuce, tomato, and radishes. The pizza was flavorful with the two types of olives but the I couldn't really taste the mushrooms and the sauce looked thin to me. Overall, the food was good but this is not a meal I'd go out of my way to have again.

" After 1 Year This Place Is Still Great ! "One year ago I did a review on this Restaurant, Guy's Italian Restaurant. My wife and I just went back again and had some Baked Eggplant Parmigiana, and some spaghetti with Bread. Take a look at my photos and I bet your mouth will start watering. We sat at the Bar and had some nice drinks before our meals came to us. You have to come to this Restaurant in Banning, CA to enjoy some great tasting Italian Food !

Three more visits to Guy's where with other couples each time I enjoyed a Small House Salad with light Italian Dressing. On one occasion we shared a buttery Side of Garlic Bread. Eggplant Parmesan and Spaghetti & Sausage were enjoyed by two guests. On a fourth occasion I ordered Spaghetti & Meatballs with Mushrooms & Mild Sausage to go, and it was a luscious meat-centric entree. In fact, each time I come here I'm torn between ordering Meatballs & Spaghetti (since it is always saucy and prepared so well) or pizza. But, since in my considered opinion (and as a pizza aficionado I once traveled to West Los Angeles 79 miles from Redlands just to eat a La Barbera's pizza for lunch, and then returned the same day), the pizza served here is among the best in Southern California, I usually opt for a different variety of that once every two months. When we do this, Diane and I each order a large pizza apiece, eat about half of it, and take the rest home to be devoured at another dinner or for her both lunch and dinner.Pizzas ordered on these reported visits included a Large Pepperoni, Mushrooms, Cashews & Tricolored Bell Peppers Pizza; a Large Vegetarian Pizza; a Large Cheese & Cashews Pizza with extra cheese; and a Large Sausage, Pepperoni, Mushrooms, Cashews, Tricolored Bell Peppers & Cooked Sliced Tomatoes Pizza. All New York-style pizza slices were cheesy, supple, and delicious, with well made crusts. The crunchy cashews and peppers nicely offset the soft sausage and mushrooms, while the pepperoni provided some welcome spice. Although cashews are not listed as a pizza topping on Guy's menu, they are always available on request and well worth adding.Free soft drink refills were provided on request, and orders were always filled correctly. Comfortable booths and the casual Tuscan ambiance always adds to the delight of dining here on fine Southern cucina Italiana.

Went to Guy's this evening. No staff, terrible service. I won't be returning! The service has been on a decline the last few times we've been there but today was ridiculous.

This place is the best Italian restaurant in the area! The one thing I noticed was the meal comes with salad and bread at a good price. The other local Italian restaurants charge extra for the garlic bread and extra sauce. The lasagna is packed with meat, the pizza is more like New York pizza, thin crust and they will drizzle olive oil on it too. It's not a great looking place but it is clean. What a great place, we had Rubin as our waiter, great service!

We're have been to Guy's twice. The first time the older waiter was very pleasant and helpful. The food was ok but not delicious and very disappointing. He was wearing way too much cologne and I must admit it was overwhelming and it "ruined" the ambiance of our meal... Every time he came to the table I had to hold my breath. Why do waiters and waitresses wear that much cologne? It should be not allowed! The second time the service was awful. A female waitress this time. We ordered a Caesar salad and it was absolutely awful. Half of the plate was covered with croutons and cheese served with limp lettuce and an overly saturated very strong dressing. Both times we've been there the meal has been either too much flavor or not enough!! I'm Italian and don't understand why an Italian restaurant can't serve a delicious meal. We ordered a side of meatballs and she delivered it to our table without anything on it. Just these four Gray looking round balls on a plate. We asked for a side of marinara. I don't know what kind of seasoning they use in their meatballs but there was something very oddly flavored like thyme or Rosemary or something very weird! I make meatballs on the regular so I know how they're supposed to taste. However, the worst part of the evening was when a teenage boy started vacuuming around us at 7 pm. We couldn't hear ourselves speaking!! It was so inconsiderate!!
