Stick with the Mexican food, because the "soul food" is wretched. Had the platter the other day: rubbery shrimp, leather-like wings, watery and tasteless greens, frozen reprocessed onion rings. The fish was good, but the tartar sauce is store-brand and I can identify the store. Tossed the whole thing after a couple of bites. Can't comment on the Mexican side of the menu, but it at least looks good.The people are friendly, but that doesn't fill an empty belly.

Was looking forward today to try this place for lunch but did not have a good experience. I ordered my food via google paid for it and when I went to pick up the food during my lunch hour they were not open. I wasted 10 min of my lunch period to go pick up my food I paid for and they were closed. If they are closed then they should close the online ordering system as well so people don't get charged. Also normally businesses leave a sign displaying if they are closed for the day or not but there was no sign displaying they were closed today. Now I have to go through the trouble of disputing my transaction with this restaurant. Will never come back here again not reliable.

Soul food is hard to come by in the Pass Area. So when my husband told me there was a new place in Yuciapa, we had to check out this little hole in a wall. This place gets 5 stars for a unique food concept in our area. But, the execution isn't 100% there. Here at this one shop, you can get the best of two worlds, Mexican and Soul Food. My husband is the lover of Mexican food and I love the nostalgia of the food I grew up eating... soul food. My husband nearly busted up laughing when the cashier told us the candied yams were "fresh" as she made them yesterday. It's ok they were solid. I thought the catfish bites were really tasted, but a bit overcooked as were the shrimp. The mac and cheese was ok. I would definitely try more items from this fusion menu. The soul food side, was better than the Mexican. We tried a trio of tacos, al pastor, beer battered shrimp and carne asada. Unfortunately, the salsas aren't what you would get at any local Mexican spot. But yeah, I look forward to giving this spot another go.

Stopped by for lunch at recommendation from coworkers. They said it was a solid place with some dishes they do better than other dishes. Place has several tables, a little small but not tiny. Menu has quite a few options. Opted for the bean and cheese burrito. Order was done extremely quickly, and given PLENTY of salsa. Burrito was good, not the best I've ever had, but I would go back for it. I got green salsa, and it was tasty with enough heat that I could taste it, but not so much that I would say it was spicy. It is difficult to judge a place on one burrito, so 4 stars feels sufficient. Place is worth a try.

Hands down THE BEST food in Yucaipa! They've got your usual Mexican food favorites and... they've got soul food!!! Ribs, brisket, tri tip, mac and cheese, spicy cabbage, wings, fish plates!!! Will absolutely be coming back, again and again. Wonderful service too.

Found this place by accident. So glad we gave it a shot. The birria fries were amazing, with the perfect amu t of heat. Husband loved the hot link burger, and the kid loved the catfish. We will definitely be back. The gentleman who runs the shop is gracious and and very nice.

This place gets slept on, the service; impeccable. Having friendly and pleasant staff, especially for how cordial and welcoming everyone is here is an under appreciated experience in most dining establishments. This was a breath of fresh air and the selection and food is amazing, I can't believe that I have been missing out on this place ever since the anchor store closed in the shopping center. Gotta say; huge fan! Thank you!
