What a pleasant surprise! Pretty legit Chinese food in Claremont??Ambiance: very classy, clean, matching plates and silverware. Not too busy for Friday lunch, quick and kind service.Food: We got dry pot and eggplants to share for 2. Left us feeling pretty full with some left overs. Pricing was very fair for today's inflation!I Would subtract half a start for their $2 per bowl of white rice. Otherwise, we would definitely come back to try more dishes.Looks like business is slow starting off. Give them a try and be prepared for some heat!

I've only ever ordered take-out, so I can't attest to their service besides the few phone calls I had. They pride themselves for making authentic Chinese food, and they're pretty good. The first time I had their Kung Pao chicken and the second time, I ordered their sweet and sour pork and sweet and sour ribs (they're sweet and sour in English but actually are different flavors). Overall, I feel like they didn't really add a lot of meat -- they're just super small pieces of meat, so I couldn't really get the satisfaction of chewing into the meat. I also feel like they emphasized a bit too heavily on the sweet for both of their sweet and sour dishes. I think I will come back again, especially when I'm craving Chinese food, but probably won't order any of their sweet and sour dishes.

Typical Chinese food. Sweet orange chicken, the kids loved it but us adults hoped for something a little different because locations are starting to take the "candy" sweetness out of these types of dishes. So, if your looking for typical Chinese, this place has what your looking for, in my opinion . The staff was nice. Totally sweet and helpful. I did love their steamed rice.

New Chinese Restaurant in Claremont! Dined in for lunch and ordered the following:- 1 Stir Fried Scallion Beef $16.95- 1 Chef's Fried Rice = $13.95- 1 House Fried Rice = $13.95SUBTOTAL = $44.85TAX =$4.26TIP = $10TOTAL = $59.11Unfortunately this place does not offer a lot of noodles/chow main options. We were the first guests to arrive and some customers arrived soon after. Overall ambiance reminds me of Target - love the interior design as well as our golden utensils! They also serve complimentary shrimp chips and lemon water (clean water too).

This place is good. Dining area is spacious, clean, and has the "new" feel to it. Kid friendly as they were able to provide my kids plastic plate ware. I highly recommend the spicy hot pot - it's like a pot of gold - goodness in every bite! My kids loved the orange chicken. The cold noodles was refreshing with a good kick to it!The spicy fish dish (Sichuan boiled fish) is also so good, and such a big portion! Husband and I will have leftovers for lunch. Definitely a spicy dish.We will be back to try out other items on their menu!! A definite must try!!

We wanted to try out the new restaurant next to our favorite sushi place. Ginko Chinese has large portions that are delicious. We ordered the cabbage with glass noodles and the sauce was so good! We also ordered the orange chicken and the mapo tofu. Orange chicken had yummy orange peels and the mapo tofu had a wonderful flavor profile. Not too spicy but definitely flavorful. Best mapo tofu around Claremont. Service is quick and attentive. There is a lot of space in the restaurant and it's been redone since taking over from the old Darvish restaurant that used to be here. Light and airy ambiance. Would highly recommend.

It's a pleasant surprise to have a Chinese restaurant in Claremont for Chinese palates. Ginkgo is a place to sit down and relax over Chengdu specialties. It would be a waste to come here for orange chicken or get takeout. I highly recommend the boiled fish with pickled cabbage and chili. It also has glass noodles and is good for 4 people. We will definitely come back!

Love love love it here! Everything I had was insanely delicious. The green beans were seasoned perfectly and the Chef's fried rice was a star dish (the sausage was delicious) when I think at most Chinese restaurants the fried rice can be underwhelming. Also loved the Zhong dumplings, the sauce was perfect. And the crispy chili chicken was the most incredible texture with great flavor and nice Szechuan kick. The service was great. The restaurant is decorated beautifully with ginkgo placemats and nice serving dishes.
