I must admit, I was a bit skeptical when my co-worker said that she wanted to have her wedding at the Alumni House. When we went to look at the venue, it appeared a little plain on the inside. However, when her wedding finally rolled around and I stepped into the main hall, I was amazed! All it took was a wonderful wedding planner to really spruce the place up! It was the perfect size for around 100 people, but I would think that anything more would be a bit of a tight fit. There was also plenty of room on the patio for dinner, dancing, a bar, the DJ, and a buffet line. The other perks are that CSUF employees and alumni receive a discount, and the shaded parking structure is only steps away. :)All in all, the Alumni House was a perfect find. Jazzy L. hit the nail right on the head...this is a hidden gem!

Hmm, I'm seeing conflicting things about this place. I emailed to ask about renting the venue for a wedding because I've seen it online that it has been used as a wedding venue various times. They replied back to me saying "we do not rent out the house for private events and only use the house for campus events." Just wanted to put this out there in case you were interested as well. I'm a bit bummed because I am an alumna so this would've been sentimental to me.

I wanted my wedding to be outdoors and in the day time. A lot of the other venues I wanted to check out were either overpriced and did not have the Spanish charm. This place is a hidden gem. Why?1) It's has a spanish style, garden courtyard in the back of the alumni house. 2) Parking is across the street (shaded in a garage structure) from the alumni house at $8/whole day. 3) Great venue for picture taking (spanish revival, California flora, terra cotta terrace)4) This can either be used as an indoor or outdoor venue.5) Max occupancy is 250.6) Reasonably priced to rent the venue!7) There is a room which can be used as the bridal room8) Bathroom - there are two stalls for both men and woman to use9) A kitchen - no stove though.See photos linked here for more details:http://www.flickr.com/photos/csufalumni/sets/72157621841558205/CON:1) Can't think of anything right now

From the get go, our experience at the Goheller Alumni House was top notch. The venue itself is stunning, but the cherry on top for me was the event manager, Bonnie! She is personable, professional, warm, resourceful & extremely helpful. I felt comfortable with her from our very first meeting. Bonnie helped me throughout the planning process, as well as on the day of the event to make sure I had everything I needed.Our event was this past weekend & turned out to be everything I imagined it to be. Bonnie stayed onsite with us before, throughout & after our party to ensure that everything was managed properly & that our guests were comfortable. Bonnie is truly a GEM & we feel really lucky to have crossed paths with her. I'm so glad we booked Goheller Alumni House & we look forward to hosting future events here!!! Thank you Goheller House for being our dream venue :)

Everything is excellent at the Goheller Alumni House! The setting (patios, interiors - even the bathrooms are lovely) is welcoming and warm, as are the people who work there. We had tremendous support from Jessica and Bonnie - they helped us determine caterers, seating arrangements, and schedules. There was no issue leading up to our event that they didn't help us plan for, and no questions were left unanswered. The staff supported us every step of the way to ensure everything was exactly as we wanted it before and during the event. Highly recommend!

Incredible staff and lovely venue! Super affordable too! I had lots of last minute things that came up and the staff was super flexible and understanding. Don't hesitate to book!
