Should have tried Gabbys a decade ago. I've heard mixed views on this local, but international flavored restaurant. I'm excited to try the new to me dishes soon I was served Costillas Al Horno..Spicy pork ribs served with their special seasoned white rice and veggies. The meat was tender, juicy and robust in flavor. I was served two choices of salsa, mild and spicy so I would know what level my next order should be at. Honestly, both were great.

DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE! Staff is rude and the quality of service is trash! The old lady is bitter and asked me to leave with my son because he was crying, after I had just placed my order and received my drinks, which btw were disgusting(hot chocolate and horchata)! Shortly after another coupleGot up and asked for a refund because of the bad service and the quality of their food!Negative stars!

Good tasting and quality food with no additives. Friendly staff. Only marking down because food took a little while to come out. I would do 4.5 stars if there was an option. I would also definitely come back next time I visit the area.

First time in Big Bear and just had an amazing dinner at Gaby's! The woman who greeted us and took our orders was welcoming and hospitable, which already set the tone for how warm and comforting the dining experience was going to be. Seating is plenty and the restaurant was bright and inviting. Sometimes I order horchata if I have a hunch the food is going to be good. Theirs was very smooth and has the right amount of flavors & sweetness (they definitely use real sugar -- none of that syrup and weird aftertaste). I'm pretty sure their other agua frescas were refreshing and wished I got to try them though. The chorrellana I ordered was tender enough in its texture, rice/quinoa & beans were also freshly made -- did not taste premade & from a can. My friend had the picante de pollo and they also scarfed the entire plate down saying it was good. Neither of us talked at all, the food was THAT delicious because we were so busy eating. Everything was so flavorful and well-seasoned.This place has a lot of love and care shown through their service, restaurant space, and especially their food. Highly recommended.

This restaurant has now become my favorite restaurant in Big Bear. When you walk in you are give a menu and seated. Once you know what you would like to order you walk up to the front of the restaurant and place your order. The server will then bring drinks and food to your table. The place was colorful and bright.Food: we ordered Bolivian food. I had the Chorrellana and my husband ordered Lomo Montano. Both plates were flavorful with the hint of right spice. We also ordered the homemade chips with guacamole, which was different to your typical guacamole sauce. It was more like a guacamole salad but either way delicious. The restaurant was clean and staff was very attentive.

5 = food5 = service5 = ambienceEverything was excellent. They have a mixture of Bolivian, Mexican, and American food. We started off with the avocados salad served with their homemade tortilla chips which was delicious. I want to learn how to make the salad at home. I ordered their Costillas Al Horno which is Spicy marinated oven-cooked pork ribs. Served with Bolivian white rice and rainbow salad. My hubby ordered their Picante de Pollo Spicy chicken cooked and marinated with a secret house recipe which we think is the same sauce they serve with the chips. Served with rice and peanut pasta. Both dishes were pretty spicy compared to what we're used to, but I finally got used to it. I preferred my husband's chicken over my ribs. The chicken wasn't dry. Both dishes had the spices cooked throughout the meat and it made it very delicious. The server was helpful and gave her recommendations. Restaurant wasn't too busy for a Tuesday night so plenty of parking.
