After a Sunday trip to the desert, we found ourselves craving carnitas on our way home. A quick search led us to Frijoles, and we decided to give it a try. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a talented singer in this charming little cantina. We were promptly seated and received menus along with some tasty chips and salsa. When we asked for a spicier salsa, they happily obliged.The menu features a variety of Mexican dishes, but we all opted for the carnitas plate, which was quite reasonably priced. The food was outstanding! In our experience, you can tell a good Mexican restaurant by the quality of their beans and rice, and Frijoles did not disappoint--both were delicious. They also served fresh tortillas, which added to the experience.The singer had a wonderful voice, enhancing the cozy atmosphere. We absolutely loved our visit! Although it's a bit of a drive from home, it was definitely worth it.

Way too expensive for which you get. I had a chili Verde burrito and it was not worthy of the hefty price tag. It was over $18 out the door. Can imagine what a whole dinner and drinks would be.

So me and my wife we go in there for tacos OK we buy six Carne Asada the tacos cost $34 then on top of that we take them home and each one of our tacos has a full bite of nothing but gristle that was so hard that we couldn't even chew it and had to spit it out. If I'm gonna pay that much for freaking tacos I better get good quality meat without a bunch of damn fat that's why I gave a one star Now I know why we don't go there much

Beaumont lacks diverse dining options, and Frijoles stands out as one of the better choices for a meal. While their portions are generous, I find the prices a bit steep. I typically enjoy dining in, but this time I opted for takeout.Some highlights from our order:- The shrimp ceviche tostada were flavorful and well-balanced, but unfortunately, the tostada got soggy on the 15-minute drive home.- The shrimp cocktail was generously portioned and well-seasoned; we added some Tapatio at home for an extra kick, but it was already tasty on its own.However, the carne asada street tacos were disappointing. The meat was dry and lacked flavor, relying heavily on the green sauce for taste. It was surprising to find subpar carne asada at a Mexican restaurant. Overall, we ordered five items, and the total exceeded $80. I was disappointed with the quality, especially since most of our order included carne asada, and all of it was dry.

Delicious! All the food was delicious and authentic. The horchata was very authentic and a little grainy, which I love.I had the street tacos and rice and beans. Absolutely delicious. Would come again just for the beans and chips. Chips are obviously home made. My friend had chorizo and eggs for breakfast along with a mimosa. Mimosa was HUGE and juice was definitely fresh. Overall great experience.

New owners are amazing, along with the wait staff!!! Last week we came in to eat, and my brother was in a wheelchair and we were going to sit outside, but it was a bit chilly out. All the tables inside that were left were bar high tables..so our waiter went in and switched out the high table for a low one that my brother could sit at inside. We went back again tonight and my brother is having troubles so he wanted to sit in the car we backed into the first handicap spot. They promptly pulled over a table close to the car so the rest of us could sit a table and him in the car and we had our dinner. I can't begin say enough about how the owner Dora and all the weight staff especially Pablo treat their customers . I have nothing bad to say about this place. Make sure you give it a try. It's our go to place to meet somewhere in the middle, and to have dinner together out

Been going here for the past three years. Food is good, (service) we were checked on all the time if we were good. The ambiance was nice, but would suggest some music in the bar area to bring the vibe up. It's all in the music to keep the vibe going. But overall a great place.
