The French Valley Café is the kind of place that feels like home if you've been coming here long enough. I've been flying into this little airport since the '80s with my dad, back when the runway felt like it was in the middle of nowhere, and the café was more of a well-kept secret among pilots and locals who knew where to find a solid meal without the fuss. It's got that classic airport diner charm--no frills, no pretense, just hearty food served with a view of planes coming and going. The breakfast is exactly what you want before a day in the sky--pancakes, eggs, bacon, the kind of simple, satisfying fare that doesn't need a gimmick. The burgers? Solid. The coffee? Strong enough to get you through an early morning pre-flight.Over the years, the area's grown up around it, but the café hasn't lost its soul. Sure, it gets busy on weekends with folks who drove in from Temecula wine country looking for a novelty brunch spot, but the real charm of this place is in the regulars--pilots, mechanics, old-timers who've been flying here longer than some of the new arrivals have been alive. It's not trying to be trendy, and that's exactly why it works. Just a good meal, a good view, and a place that still feels like the kind of airport café every pilot hopes to find when they land somewhere new.

French Valley Café offers great food with classic options like sandwiches, burgers, and salads. We tried the club sandwich and a burger with fries, and both were absolutely delicious. The service was fantastic--friendly, helpful, and quick to get our food to the table. The café's location provides a nice view of incoming and outgoing flights, which adds a unique touch to the experience. However, the black bar fence partially blocks the view. If you're looking for an unobstructed look, heading closer to the airport area is a good alternative. One of the best features is the dog-friendly patio, which was perfect for bringing along our furry friend. The only downside was the restrooms. They were messy and in need of attention. It seems they are shared with the flight school, airport, and café, but better upkeep would really improve the experience.Overall, French Valley Café is a great spot for tasty food, friendly service, and a unique setting--just be prepared to overlook the restroom situation!

Note: if you are traveling with toddlers, bring snacks and things to do. The wait for food might be a little long, but the kids menu and food is pretty yummy! This cafe is so unique and I'm glad we finally tried it. There is a lot for the kids to see and do if there is a wait - there's huge windows to see the planes and helicopters take off and land, but also the restaurant is fun with decorations appropriate for a place inside an airport! The kids food was surprisingly super tasty and a good portion. Our entrees were also equally tasty and well portioned. Besides the long wait for food, we survived with many walks around the cafe and in and out of the doors to watch planes. Fun experience for sure!

This American-style restaurant at the local airport is a hidden gem! The food is delicious, and the portions are huge--definitely a great deal. The service was excellent as well; the staff was friendly and attentive. What makes this spot even more special is the view. It's a treat to enjoy your meal while watching the small planes go by. Even though it's a local place, the location is perfect for grabbing a bite with a unique and enjoyable atmosphere. Highly recommend it!

First time at French Valley Cafe in Murrieta, CA. The restaurant is inside the French Valley Airport. It's nice to see small airplanes depart or land while you're dining. We stopped at restaurant for breakfast after a Middle School graduation. The wait time for 9 people was 1 hour on a Friday. We waited in the bar area and enjoyed a few drinks while we waited for our table. Once we got our table, we waited another 30 minutes or so for our food to come out. The service was very slow on drink refills. Had we've been a smaller group, I would've stayed at the bar because the service was much better there. I give restaurant the following rating:-Ambiance: 5/5 -Service: 3.8/5-Bartender: 4/5The Hashbrowns lacked seasoning. The steak on my steak and eggs plate was tough. The pancakes were just okay. 3.5/5. I did like the freshly baked biscuits and enjoyed the Creamy Chicken Noodle Soup. I tried the chicken fried steak and that was pretty good too. 4/5 The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. If you've been to a Cracker Barrel Restaurant, the breakfast is very similar to that. I would go back but will hangout in the bar area and try the lunch menu next. Happy Yelping :)

Cute place! I did not know this cafe existed till I checked Yelp. Staff is really nice, friendly, and accommodating. Food is good. It's American traditional breakfast food. They also serve lunch and dinner. I love how you can sit and stare at all the planes and watch them take off. Cool spot. I'd come back and bring the kids.

The French Valley Cafe is located inside the Murrieta airport. It's was crowded when we arrived on a Sunday for brunch. The servers were kind and checked on us throughout our stay. Ordered the chicken strips, kid's waffles and the blt croissant. The fries that came with the blt and chicken strips were dry and seemed old. They also forgot to bring us silverware and we had to ask twice for it. They did have tvs around the cafe for sports viewing, that was a plus.

The French Valley Café is housed within the private commercial airport. It is a moderately sized venue with plenty of food choices available on the breakfast, brunch and lunch menus. The waiting area outside gives you the feeling as if you are waiting to board a plane. While waiting, we enjoyed watching through the wide clear windows, observing commercial planes parked on the tarmac. The wait was not too long and our servers were great. We liked the design inside the space, with lots of hanging miniature aircraft, props and aviation crafts. It reminded me of the Aeronautical Museum at Balboa Park in San Diego. The food is tasty and they serve generous portions; overall, everything we ordered was delicious. It offers good quality food at an affordable price. We will certainly visit here again in the near future.

We wanted to have breakfast somewhere new so we chose French Valley Cafe. It's a little difficult to find because there are no large neon lights just a little white sign with black lettering. From 79 just go straight and it's located at the end of the loop on the left. It's located next to the French Valley Airport.Anyway, the breakfast was delicious. We ordered the Avenger omelette and the 2 egg plate with bacon and toast.Diane was our waitress, she was great. Awesome customer service! Also, we really enjoyed watching the cessna's take off and land.We only saw the breakfast menu, just curious what's cooking for lunch and dinner. Also, there's a full bar with several TV monitors.
