Fourth Street Mill has a knack for hiring employees who are welcoming, friendly, competent, and have a desire to provide unmatched customer service.Nicole is one of the best at all of the above. Tonight she's handling a bar with nearly ever seat filled, greeting every person who walks in the door making them feel welcomed, making drinks for the dining customers, being attentive to every person at the bar, and still makes the best whiskey and Diet Coke this side of the Minnesota River. Come on in and say hi Nicole. You will not be disappointed!

Went to lunch here with my sister and niece. It was a beautiful day so we sat on the patio. Service was a bit slow. I ordered the pastrami po boy on a buttery roll. The sandwich was delicious. It comes with a side salad (which I only picked at because I am not a big fan of field greens). My sister had the chicken tacos and my niece the steak tacos, which they both enjoyed. We got a side of fries which were really good. Overall a nice experience. I would recommend them.

I came here for the second time for happy hour and was disappointed. The veggie wrap has like bagged lettuce in it which really ruins the whole veggie wrap experience. You go from tasting warm cooked veggies to a cold plastic tasting entire bite of lettuce...not fun. Should have stuck with the veggie bowl from last time that was decent. Our waitress forgot nearly everything we asked of her and we were stuck at our table way longer than we were trying to be for a happy hour outing.

Even though it was raining hard and hailing when our group of six had lunch yesterday, we had a wonderful time at Fourth Street Mill! We ate at one of the high tables outside, and appreciated that we could do that in Los Angeles in November despite the weather. We started off with fries and fried green beans. Both were excellent! Everyone enjoyed their food, and in particular, my sister-in-law really liked her Brussels sprouts salad with salmon on top and I really liked my vegetarian burger. I had never been to downtown La Verne, but I look forward to returning.

Really Great service here in this quaint joint. Waitress was friendly, competent, attentive. Food was fine but a touch over priced and portions were not very big. Calamari AP $11 and small. Looked hand battered and it was light and crispy Bacon wrapped shrimp $14 for 5 and they're not very big. Love the chili sauce on top Tuna salad was yummy and they made me a plain sandwich. I wish there was more for on it! Good flavor. But for $15 a side would be appreciated. Sides of fries would set you back $9!!!!Same for the French dip- served in a buttery lobster roll. Flavorful but came with a "salad" which was literally 4 pieces of lettuce. Overall the meal was good. I wouldn't drive out of my way for it but nothing was disappointing from a flavor standpoint.

3.5/5 overall. Nice welcoming vibe. Bar stools by the door decently comfortable. Two TVs by the bar but at least the volume is off. Decent cocktails (Manhattan and Berry Basil). My Veggie bowl was yummy and had good fresh vegetables that weren't over cooked.Apparently, the tuna melt and burger my family ordered were bland but satisfying. The side order shoestring fries were well cooked but lacked flavor. Staff were attentive, friendly, and efficient. A little pricy for the unremarkable food.

I wish we lived closer! This place was absolutely amazing! Love it!!! Great service and good energy!

I came here on a week night and it seemed to be popular for dates, locals, and for someone looking to dine al fresco like myself.While there's much to be said about the space, the food not so much. The menu is small-ish, but dabbles all over the place. There's no set themed or specialty. I guess a little something for everyone. My friend and I shared the following:Baja Style Fish Tacos ($18): hand battered, lightly fried fish tacos with tortilla chipsGround Beef Burger ($14): blended patty of chuck, short rib, and brisket with Irish cheddar, lettuce, onion, pickle, and Worcestershire aioliThe fish tacos were mid. They were topped with a slaw and the slaw was topped with a slight drizzle of sauce. Everything could have benefitted from more sauce drizzle or salsa. The tacos were otherwise flavorless and dry. Burger was good! It tasted like a very good back yard burger with all the fixings.The menu is reasonably priced so dining here can feel like a treat without breaking any banks. I'd come back for a glass a wine on their aforementioned cute ass patio.

My mom and I went to Fourth Street Mill this week and absolutely enjoyed it! The ambiance was great there and the service was above and beyond. I got the Harvest Salad which had delicious steak, burrata cheese, and poached pears. My mom got the House Salad and added steak as well. Both salads were delicious and definitely hit the spot. We also shared some crispy fried green beans that we loved as well. Our only critiques would be the steak was a little rarer than preferred and the sauce with the green beans had quite a kick! But this could all be customer preference, I am sure some would really love these options. We will definitely be heading here next time we have a mom and daughter dinner date again!

Buzz kill. Every once in a while I have an unfortunate experience at this restaurant. I'll be back in 6-8 months when I forget about the service. Foods great. Vibes not so much.**context**While out for drinks to celebrate my sisters graduation my family was blatantly accused of vaping at our table. Our waitress walked up to our table and accused us of vaping. Saying she "didn't see anything, someone brought it to her attention". She made a scene at our table, without seeing anything herself. No one at the table smokes nor did they have a vape on them... The whole interaction was uncomfortable, unfortunate, and unforgettable. She then seemed shocked that we were offended.
