Got together with several friends here for lunch. First time trying this restaurant. Boy, it was a great experience.As you walk inside, there is a fridge with several kinds of fishes you could order. The fishes they have were:- Salmon- Tilapia- Catfish- Red Snapper- Sole- WhitingThey also have Jumbo Shrimp, Lobster Tail, Oysters, and Mahi Mahi.You order at the counter. The staffs were nice and friendly.The inside looks quite nice. They have several tables inside as well as some outdoor seatings.I ordered the Catfish, Mahi Mahi, and the Salmon. Also ordered the Coleslaw and Rice with Grilled Veggies.For dessert, we had Peach Cobbler and Banana Pudding.You can have your fishes grilled or fried. The popular choice would be to have them fried. So naturally, I had mine fried. Their batter was so good. Crispy and very flavorful.The Coleslaw was amazing, as well as the Rice and Veggies.Their Peach Cobbler and Banana Pudding were so delicious! I especially like the Banana Pudding. So yummy!The services here were above and beyond. Would definitely come back here again in the future.

Thanks Joel S for the recommendation.Ordered: Filet of Sole, Grilled Catfish, Grilled Red Snapper and Grilled Shrimps. Side: Roll, Veggies with Rice and Cole Slaw. Delicious and fresh! Drink: Bottle of Lite Arizona Iced Tea LemonadeI was able to try their other sides dishes with my friends: Sweet Potatoes, Potato Salad, Mac and Cheese, Hush puppies, Yams, Macaroni SaladDessert: Amazing Peach Cobbler and Delicious Banana PuddingAll the food was made fresh to order.Service was fantastic. Staff and management were very friendly and helpful. Ambiance is nice with nice wall decor. I am definitely coming back.

You are going to want to save and bookmark this place. I attended a group lunch, organized by Joel S., and was overwhelmed with the great service, and delicious food made from scratch. The seafood can be grilled or lightly breaded and fried. Place your order at the counter, pay and your meal will be brought to your table. We were taken care of by Treena, Yvonne and Dee. I ordered the Mahi Mahi with Grilled Shrimp, my two sides were Sweet Potatoes, and Potato Salad. Other available choices: Red Beans and Rice, Collard Greens, Mac n Cheese, Macaroni Salad, or White Rice topped with Grilled Veggies. Our choice of dessert was Banana Pudding or Peach Cobbler. It was a good location to enjoy visiting with many I had not seen in months. Plenty of free parking is another plus, they are located off Ontario Mills Parkway and is easy to find. Come hungry, leave satisfied! Southern comfort food is one of my favorite type of food. It's not easy to find a good restaurant with reasonable prices. Good eats for sure, try them out and don't forget to tell'em that Rosemary and Joel sent ya!!

Wow, what a fantastic first experience at Fishhook Seafood! Had lunch here yesterday with my wife and 18 of our friends. Wonderful Southern and Cajun, seafood cuisine. Inside seating for 24 and outside seating available. Easy parking in a private lot.SERVICE: Trena, or "Tree" as she called herself, and her staff were so friendly and went above and beyond assisting our party of 20. Everyone ordered at the counter, and the food came out in waves, but we all got everything we ordered and then some. One comment to the owner to consider, the ordering required the staff to type everything in, rather than have easy codes, digital pics, or something to make that part of the ordering process a little faster.FOOD: Of the items that I tried, I thought the standouts were the grilled Mahi-mahi, Fried Shrimp, Fried Catfish, Mac-n-Cheese, Collard Greens, Hush Puppies, Banana Pudding, and Apple Cobbler. I grew up on the East Coast and these were some of the best Hush Puppies I've ever had! Noteworthy items included Fried Tilapia, Fried Dover Sole, Grilled Salmon, Fried Oysters, Red Beans & Rice, and Potato Salad.Overall, Fishhook Seafood was a fun place with great Southern hospitality and tasty cuisine. We'll definitely be coming back for more. I highly recommend you give them a try!

2/8/25 Southern hospitality with great food-what more could you want? More of it! Come & get some y'all!! Met up with friends at the Day break Plaza in Ontario on a beautiful Saturday. Just before they opened, the wonderful owner/proprietor, Treena welcomed us with her winning small & warmth. I knew instantly this is going to a great experience. First off, lots of free parking, the shop itself has indoor dining for about 30 people, casual. Restroom is very clean, single occupancy. Just small details if you're dining in.Really great food is not hurried & this is made with lots of love. I ordered from "D" at the cashier, very friendly & efficient. Got the mani-mahi & red snapper grilled, Dover sole fried, sides of collard greens & yams. Man oh man was I in for a treat! My group ordered so many other things on the menu & we each tried each other's food. Hush puppies, shrimp, rolls, mac n cheese, potato salad... corn bread!!! Desserts? Peach cobbler was fresh outta the oven!! Whoa momma! And Bread pudding too?! It's either food coma or i have died & gone to heaven!? Party in my mouth-delicious! The flavors are Ah-MaZiNg! Like eyes pop of their sockets crazy good! Not kidding, I would probably come back JUST for the yams! Can't beat the experience of being welcomed & I might as well have been invited in her home & fed me home cooked meals. Come & get it!! GET HOOKED!

This place is a GEM! Phenomenal! Met some friends here today for lunch and left so completely full from the amazing food and the fantastic company! Was greeted promptly and Alexis was friendly and helpful with the menu and my questions. Trena and her team did an outstanding job today with taking all our orders, getting the food served and making sure everyone had everything they needed.I honestly feel like after coming here, I truly understand what southern hospitality means! The staff was so helpful and friendly--ready and willing to help and serve. The food is remarkable. It's made to order, so it does take a little time for it to come out. But man, it is so worth it. There's the regular breading, then low salt and no salt options as well. You can also order a grilled option, which is what I did. I got the salmon and shrimp with collard greens and yams. I also opted for the hush puppies. The salmon and shrimp were cooki perfectly and seasoned well. The hush puppies were delicious! The sides were the standouts for me. The collard greens were perfection and the yams were wonderful. Just the perfect amount of sweetness! I finished my meal with the banana pudding, which was also incredible. I also got a slice of the strawberry crunch cake to take home. Some friends were kind enough to let me try their potato salad and the fried oysters and I'm not kidding you, EVERYTHING was fantastic. Run, don't walk to try this place! I will definitely be back!

One of the better Southern seafood joints in the area. The fried red snapper? Amazing. The fried catfish? Just as amazing. The yummy (and large) tubs of red beans & rice and mac & cheese? So amazing I couldn't even stand it.But I think the real star of the entrees was that grilled mahi-mahi. That was like somebody planted heaven on my tongue directly and told me to just let it grow. That was one of the most tender, flavorful, and just seasoned right fishes I've had in a few years. I was kicking myself that I didn't order more of it.And to cap it off was a generous portion of banana pudding that was a great end to the meal. The ambience was just right for this fish joint and everyone working there couldn't have been more pleasant.I want to come back soon and often, if they'll have me. As my best friend from Macon likes to say, the whole experience was a hoot-and-a-half.

I went here a few days ago with some friends. I must say for my experience...Fishhook was off the hook!!! Everything I had here was so good! From the time I entered the building till when we all left, it was customer service by Treena and her staff at their best! This location is a hidden gem, was easy to get to, and located just to the west of the 15 fwy and to the east of the Ontario meals, across from the AMC Theatre. It was very clean inside and outside. Love the painting on the wall as you enter the restaurant.I was out of town for two months prior to this visit. So for my first major restaurant to eat at, I was extremely pleased how delicious everything was!!! For food, here is what I had here... Fried Salmon and Fried Shrimp was my main course. I love their shrimp, tartar, and the spicy sauces that complimented my meal. They also gave me grilled salmon and shrimp at first, but they quickly realized and fixed what I asked for. So I ended up with more food to try and eat! Other main courses I was able to try from my friends' plates included fried catfish and Dover sole. Yummy!!! The two sides I chose were the Mac n cheese and the Yams. They really know how to prepare both of these sides as they were both unique and tasted out of this world!!! I was also able to try others' potato salad and grilled veggies, both very good! I was able to try one appetizer and that was the Fried Oyster! The best Oyster I ever had!!! Even the three hush puppies were good! To wash everything down, I had a bottle of lime green Gatorade. It just hit the spot! Finally for dessert, I had the fresh banana pudding. Off the chart!!!Overall, definitely a 5 star welcome home meal for me!!! I am so glad we were referred to this place! I can't wait to come back with my daughter and try other items! Thank you Fishhook, Treena, and staff once again for a memorable and totally lasting impression of Southern Food & Hospitality during our whole lunch here! Been here many of times and this time brought some friends with me! Got me 1 piece of mahi mahi, tilapia, catfish, some shrimp, and sides of collard greens and Mac n cheese. Not pictured, got a piece of peach cobbler and some hush puppies too. I've got mines fried but there's also grilled options as well. Everything is so good here! I also got a side of yams which is made fresh here occasionally. Service always great here. Trena the owner really knows how to take care of her customers and the food quality here is at a high standard. From the sides, to main course, to the desserts, everything is made fresh to order. Highly recommend this place!
