Fastmex Taco Spot

This review is long overdue, and as I sit at home craving their rolled tacos, I think it's the perfect time to leave my review. We moved to Hemet about a year ago and were searching for a taco shop. Of course, I came to Yelp to read local reviews on different spots, and we tried ALOT of places and I was less than impressed with all of them. One of them didn't even sell rolled tacos!!! Coming from San Diego, we have some of the best Mexican food, in my opinion, so I started thinking I was setting my expectations too high for Hemet until I found FastMex. I guess I'm a bit of a rolled taco snob. I just feel that if a taco shop can't get rolled tacos right, the rest of the food isn't going to be good. Let me tell you, the food at FastMex is made with love. They HAND ROLL the rolled tacos when you order them. They are not pre rolled and frozen, I was blown away by this, you can taste the difference. This is a family owned and operated spot, as we have come to find out, and this is definitely our new spot. We haven't gone to another taco shop after finding this one, and that's because the food is amazing, we are always greeted with a smile, and their salsa is bomb. It's nice to go somewhere and feel welcomed, The dad and son always have a big smile for us because we're regulars now, mama is always handling business and is super sweet. Being in a new city where we don't know anyone, it means alot to us to be greeted with such warmth, we feel like we fit in. Oh my goodness, this place is SO good!!!!! Imagine my excitement when I found out that our favorite taco shop that was in the same place, Albeto's, has been reopened years later under a different name by the same owners. Their food is cooked fresh to order, including hand rolled taquitos and flautas, and everything we ordered was delicious. They aren't stingy with their salsa cups unlike the other popular taqueria on this side of town, and they offer a large variety of salsas that are all great. I highly recommend this little place if you want great Mexican food!

I was greeted when I entered the restaurant and Israel was very nice and polite. It's a nice place to sit for a lunch meeting. The food wasn't bad but it wasn't that good either, I'm not sure if I will go back.

A must try!! I've lived in hemet for a couple of years now and have tried lots of different spots for a simple California burrito. I've been disappointed a lot, but this is open late and I decide to give them a shot & to my surprise it was super tasty! I got the CA burritos combination which came with a pretty big burrito rice and beans & a drink! $15 can't beat that at all. Most other places it's $20+ but what really did it was the quality and taste! Crispy fries, good amount of carne asada, cheese and I opted for sour cream. It was cooked to order and excellent. I've also been a lot of spots and afterwards my tummy hurts from the grease/ food but I will say I didn't get that yucky feeling after this meal, speaks for the quality itself!! Plussss their salsa variety is amazing and tastes sooooo good. Plus they don't limit you like most places. My new favorite spot. I will say when you walk in it's very simple, clean, but not much going on inside, but the food definitely is to brag about. Plus customer service was so nice and welcoming, you can tell they put a lot of effort into making sure their food is great.

The food here is absolutely delicious! The Carne Asada Fries are crazy good, the Burritos are outstanding (I especially love the Breakfast Burritos). This is a family-owned business and they're as nice and respectful as can be. I was a twice-weekly patron of this restaurant for 9 years, until I moved to Texas. I returned to this establishment today after 13 years and to my pleasant surprise, they were still there and they remembered me. I ordered my usual and the food was just as delicious as I remember. You absolutely can't go wrong with this establishment and I enthusiastically give this restaurant my most highest endorsement.

Love it here! The food amazing! Every burrito is worth the try!! But my absolute favorite is the matchaca burrito!

Best nachos in the Valley! Huge and tasty...just like me after finishing them! The carne asada reminded me of the carne asada from Mexico that tastes ten times better for some reason. The chips were fresh and perfectly fried. Everything was great. The salsa bar is the best. The range of spice was perfect. The guacamole salsa was my favorite . Place is clean and the people are friendly. Prices are a little high, but where aren't they? If you want to get your fat boy or fat girl on, there's no place better! Feed your inner (or outer) fat child at FastMex!

Love this restraunt its down the street from my house so the name really fits. They have a decent wide variety of a menu, but I always go with the pollo street tacos, thier salsa stands out to me as well I always go with the ranchera and verda salsas. As a mexican restraunt on the eastside of Hemet I think this is very underrated.
