We were recommended to attend EM from a family member. We were signing my 11 yr old son up for baseball for the first time for fall ball and didn't want him to be embarrassed not having any baseball skills. We were lucky enough to have called them when we did because their Summer baseball camp was starting the next day! We got our son signed up for the baseball camp it was for one month Monday through Thursday 8am to 11:30. My son was little nervous the first day but he loved it! Coach Juan was amazing with the kids. He learned how to hit, throw and catch good within that month. He also grew love for baseball! And weight training well he was there! We are so grateful that there is a place like EM we will for sure sign up for any baseball camps/training they have in the future! Also their facility is super clean!

My son needed major help with batting and I heard this is the place to visit to improve any athlete overall. When it comes to baseball and if you need a batting coach, Drew is the guy to work with your player. I've been bringing my son here to work with Drew for the past few months and my son's batting, stance and hits have improved in a positive way. I feel the money I spend weekly for my son's batting sessions are well worth it. I'm excited to see how my son does during winterball season. Drew is excellent with kids of all ages. He makes the batting sessions fun for the athlete and informative for the parents. I appreciate the feedback he gives to parents as a batting coach. Depending on what your player needs improvement on, he'll come up with different exercises and drills. From time to time, Drew will record your player during their batting session to show your athlete and the parents what needs improve or to show progress. If you're looking for a batting coach that knows his stuff in baseball, ask for Drew. I'm glad we've made the commitment at EM Speed Training.

My daughter is 11 and I reached out to EM to see if it would be appropriate (not stunting growth) for her to train. Rod got back to me super quick. Answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable to come in and try a class. We didn't immediately make it in and a few weeks later, he followed up with me, which I really appreciated. We came to the first class and for the first 10 minutes I honestly thought, this is a joke. I thought the warm up was what they would be doing for the full hour. But, then they broke a large group down to 3 and worked on plyo, speed/agility, and strength. I was REALLY impressed. Impressed with the coaches. Impressed with the equipment. Impressed with the different classes we've now experienced. By the end of the first class I was completely sold. Thankfully, my daughter is enjoying it too so I don't have to "force" her to go. It's challenging enough with great coaches that she enjoys going, or so she says. She currently plays volleyball and this training has been great during the Summer when there's no real training for kids her age to build their bodies, not just the skills. Thanks EM!

EM Speed and Power operate on their own accord. This place is just a money grab. They are overpriced and probably also collect from the state for attendance. Everything they say at orientation is not at all what actually occurs. They are full of empty promises. There is no monitoring of school work. The kids are left on their own to figure it out. The 8th grade teacher isn't even accredited and shouldn't be there. They tell the kids that their swing sucks. The schedule they post when you go to orientation is just for show, they only have 1-2 hours of school work, in which it's just online and they don't even do core subjects throughout the school year, they do 2 at a time and don't enforce continuation of math or ELA. They change the schedule to what best fits them. They had an academic calendar that they did not follow, they set a last school day, then all of a sudden a month before they decide oh we are going to call that last week an extension, when in fact it was always that way, they they had the last 3 days minimum day and changed it to the last 4, then all of a sudden they change it again the day before and pretend that they are sending a reminder that it is minimum day sooner than what it actually was ever planned according to the academic calendar AND their newsletters. They also told the students not to come the last week because they don't want to babysit. But they will take your monthly payment in full price , the attempt to change the schedule at the last minutes, shows that they do not want them there, your child is not in their best interest, your money is. They also sell hoodies and other clothing that they say is mandatory to wear and it is overpriced and very poor quality. They allow people to come work out during the day that are not staff, which is completely unsafe. Basically everything they say they will do, they do not, and if you're not an involved parent and just send them off to school, you would never know. One staff member was fired for being inappropriate in his behavior and language and the students were told next time don't tell your parents, tell us. What kind of place is this? You're paying for an overpriced gym. Pomona Unified should end their term with them and they shouldn't be collecting monthly payments when they collect money from the state, completely illegal.

It's very hard to have someone call you back . Days , weeks go by before they decide call back. And when they do, their services are limited. I was told they only had group sessions and not individual . I wanted one on one for my son and I was told " good luck finding it" smart ass !

While I applaud the establishment for creating a Covid-19 protocol, I have to say you need to rethink your policy. Your space has more than enough room to accommodate parents of children under the age of 6 years of age to wait for their child at safe distances. Had I known that the parents would have to wait in their vehicles outside of the facility far away from their children, I never would have brought my child here in the first place. I run a large medical practice through 4 major area hospitals - I'm very familiar with Covid-19 protocols. If your front desk staff is going to cite county protocols and guidelines, then they should be doing so with accurate information. I'll make sure our league doesn't utilize this facility again.
