Craving Mexican Sushi or Seafood? El Viejon Mariscos and Sushi has got you covered! They have two trucks in the I.E. and a wonderful DoorDash service. You may be wondering if having seafood from a truck is safe or not, but the freshness comes through at all times. Although their DoorDash prices are ~$5 over their in-person prices, I would still say the quality is superb. Now, let's break down the food:Tempura Roll - 4.3/5 stars. I desperately want to give this a 4.5 - 4.8 but, the shredded carrots and missing avocado knocked it down. The presentation is beautiful and the rice holds its texture and formation well. The flavors are spot on and wow, the classic onions and Chile really brings out the perfectly paired flavors. ~$15 in person and ~$20-22 on Doordash.Aguachile Mixto - 4.7/5 stars. The slight knockdown is for the avocado and seafood to cucumber ratio. I expect ripe avocado in any dish, not raw - which I'm quite allergic to. There was also about 1/2 of the container filled with cucumbers. Otherwise, this was a solid aguachile. I also asked for extra chile in the salsa and they definitely delivered! This costs ~$30 on DoorDash. Tostadas - These came on the side of the Aguachile Mixto and it reminded me of the tostadas that you would get on the street in Mexico. It has all the flavors and textural ability to withstand sogginess. If there are any leftovers, pair it with crema y sal and you've got one of the best snacks to savor. Overall, this place is definitely one of the top spots in the I.E. to satisfy your cravings!

Thanks to Covid we now have an over abundance of food trucks. Everything from tacos to lobster. In my neighborhood of Jurupa Valley one truck that I kept seeing around was El Viejon. Was it Marisco, was it Sushi, I don't know but I was determined to find out. We went thinking there would be a wait but we were the only ones there. Thank god cause it gave us time to speak to the cook and ask about the big variety of menu items and gauge the spice level since my wife is a bit delicate when it comes to chile. We finally settled on a Molcajete. A huge mixture of seafood big enough for 2. Chile on the side thank you.It was delicious. Seasoned just right with some tostadas to scoop up all the seafood goodness. The plate has an abundance of everything you could imagine. Next time we will try some of the sushi.Definitely recommended.

I also love the side of onions and carrots with the tempura sushi. Never disappoints! The service is always great too !! Very friendly people:)) I love coming here when I have a craving for sushi! And it's pretty close to me ! So that's a plus !! Definitely try this place !!

This place has been one of my favorite since they had their food truck in Bloomington. I'm located in Riverside and would make the drive all the way just for a charola of their molcajete. But I have to say the quality of their food is no longer the same. I just bought a media charola of molcajete $80 barely had any scallops which are now sliced paper thin, or octopus. Mostly cucumber and onions with shrimp. So sad that the quality of the food has to go down now that they have a restaurant cause that's their priority now.

El Viejon Mariscos and Sushi is such a welcome addition to Jurupa Valley. Located adjacent to Jurupa Valley City Hall and on the parking lot of Pedley Vet Track and Feed Supply it's a top notch place to get American Style sushi rolls like your favorite AYCE sushi spot. The sushi rolls are definitely unique and have a Mexican twist which is a fresh spin to your favorite rolls. I've seen their other truck in Loma Linda off Tippecanoe a few times but this location is down the street from my house. Like any food truck, you place your order at the window and they usually give you a beeper when the food is ready but the past couple times they call your name. The rolls are the only item I've order and all of them are great. I usually order a regular roll and an another that's tempura fried. The ingredients are usually a mixup of imitation crab, avocado, cream cheese, tempura shrimp, octopus and carne but the rolls I've tried were all great. They garnish each roll with shredded carrots, onions and a pepper, items you wouldn't normally find in your avg sushi spot.Overall if you're looking to have great sushi in a hurry this place won't disappoint!

I knew this place was fairly new. So I was excited to try it out. Once I got there, there was live banda music and a very nice decoration. The menu was really good, focus on seafood and Nayarit dishes. One thing I notice immediately was the extreme overprice of everything. But I figure the 4 stars on yelp was advocating for the place. I order a Pulpo al Ajillo, cost $26! When the dish was served, the pulpo was shopped up in small pieces, eliminating the experience of a whole pulpo. Among the pulpo was slides of Chile that was so hard that it felt like paper. I had to take my time to pull it out for me to be able to eat it. My kids ordered sushi and they loved it. My son order a medium well steak, it was brought in well done. I didn't complain because ultimately was a seafood place. We took our chances. The owner or manager was called by the waitress, upon his arrival he saw the slices of chili on the side of the plate. I explained what happened, he apologized and offered a dish replacement but it was already too late. When the bill came it was $140!!! There was not even a discount for the unfortunate situation with the Pulpo. Each drink was about $6 each. I will not recommend this place, at least not now. Maybe later when they start to implement the feedbacks given by the costumers.

This is a food truck located outside of a liquor store. They offer sushi with some seafood flavor. The food is good. It's a food truck and they make the rolls fresh so you can expect to wait for at least 20+ minutes sometimes. The wait is worth it. The food is good. They often have a line in the parking lot for people that are waiting to order or waiting to pick up. I have tried almost all of their rolls and they certainly do not disappoint. Check them out!

We didn't like their sushi, not good at all, we got out with a stomach ache and nauseous. The place is beautiful not gonna lie, I wish their sushi would have been as good as the place looks. The service our waitress was slow and forgetful, we still left a tip but never going back.
