El Rey Taco Grill - Riverside

Got a recommendation for this Mexican spot and decided to check it out for Sunday lunch as we live around the corner. Very impressed with the quality of the food and especially their service! The chilaquiles were the highlight for me, and the free tortilla chips, salsa, and jalapeños were a good touch! All of the food was very well done, and the service was above and beyond. Restaurant was kept very clean even though it was quite busy. Look forward to coming back for more!

Food was great tasting. They certainly give you plenty.The prices are normal for the current environment. We stopped by after visiting my parent's graves in the National Cemetery. Easy to find parking. Brought in coffee from a next door coffee shop and enjoyed a pleasant sit down meal.

We were in the area looking for a place to grab dinner. We ended up at El Rey Grill. I was so pleased with our overall experience.Food was great, service was excellent, I can't wait to try more items on the menu!

Great street tacos. The carnitas were juicy and so was the asada. The keto taco is one of the best keto friendly options at ANY restaurant. Melted cheese is the tortilla. This place is a gem.

If you want more bang for your buck ElRey is the place! The space is having some massive servings and they are flavorful not just cheap filler! The supreme fries had shrimp and two choices of meat. With standard topping it was a gigantic plate!! I got the keto tacos with asada and I ordered 4 thinking street tacos size, wrong it took two plates for my 4 tacos!! There's a salsa bar with chips to help yourself too as an appetizer but beware your set for a massive meal.

Always hot always fresh. Free chips salsa and beans . Great service . You can also earn points on meals .

The keto tacos are delicious.. actually everything we have tried has been delicious, their salsa bar. Not one of their salsas are bad. The chips are so good. Service is fast and good, the restaurant has always been super clean, and they are busy so they keep up. It has never been dirty when we have gone.

Saw this place as we were driving to visit my Dad at the Riverside National Cemetery. We got the 3 taco plate with 2 el pastor and 1 carne asada with pinto beans and rice. Also got the bean and cheese burrito. The tortilla on the burrito was very tasty, and love the floury texture. The cheese in the burrito could have been more melted, but still good. The carne asada in the tacos were very tender, and not dry. My wife said the el pastor seemed a little over cooked. They have a complimentary salsa & chips bar. All the salsa had good flavor and heat. They also have complimentary pinto beans, which are very good. Good size restaurant, but not to host a huge party. Food came out fast, and hot (no not microwaved LOL). Good amount of parking. The take cash or card. From where we drive from, definitely a nice place to have lunch when coming out to see my Dad.

Amazing spot in a nice small shopping center. I went for Taco Tuesday, but the rest of the menu looked great with reasonable pricing. But what really stands out is the taco bar. The taco bar has four salsas, pickled carrots & onions, chips, beans and grilled onions & jalapeños.

My boyfriend and I love this place. Amazing service, a tasty salsa bar with the most amazing beans and roasted chilis.. a new agua fresca every visit. We brought our family here and they said "we must leave a yelp review!" I want this business to succeed so they can expand and add more seating, so we can invite even more friends and family!
