Came during the height of their lunch rush, and I was in and out within 10 minutes. No one seems flustered or irritated, everyone just hunkered down and did their job and it looked like they were working as a team. The manager on site was doing such amazing job. Service wasn't overtly friendly but they werent apathetic either. Not gonna lie, I was definitely irritated there was literally a line out the door, but we all go through so fast. Turned my pissy mood around.

The owner needs to take a long hard look at these reviews..me and my fam came tonight to dine in the restaurant it was blistering hot inside at 7pm at night the establishment has been without a AC-AIR CONDITIONER based on past yelp reviews for quite some time now i feel real bad for the hard working employees that have to deal with this while earning a honest living in a highly popular corporate establishment like pollo loco I'm sure there are some labor law violations and I'm just a average joe customer I also ordered 2 bottles of water with my meal they were also hot no cold water no air conditioning the place did smell like sewage like previously mentioned in pest yelp reviews I don't hold the employees accountable they where doing the best they could given the condition the restaurant is currently in I also tried going outside to dine to escape the issues and no tables outside...to the owner do better this is not right!!!

People will complain about how ghetto this location is like they forgot they were in downtown riverside of all places. The McDonald's next door definitely won out when it came to parking, because this location has very limited parking and your only way out is through a back alley.I usually don't place orders during the lunch rush, but had to today. I went with the Birria Burrito Box. I got there at my pickup time of 12:45 but did not get my food until 15 minutes later. I think this was due to a combination of them possibly being understaffed, it being lunch time, and the fact that some lady placed 5 fricken mobile orders for her and her friends before I was able to place mine. She left with 5 fricken bags as I waited for my food. Bad timing on my part I guess.As for the burrito, it was tasty and the meat was tender but lacked flavor. You'll probably get better birria at the birria food truck I spotted on the way over lol.Overall, I'm giving this el pollo loco a 4. Yes the wait was bad, but it was lunch time. My order was accurate with all 4 avocado salsas in my box, and the workers there were nice.

Service person was very rude for no reason. Just for my co-worker to try to use two coupons since we're all at work and one person has to go to get food. That's it for this chicken establishment. You know there's a church's chicken a block away and there are so many eatery places on university Ave in Riverside. Maybe corporate needs to address how coupons are used for multiple employees at work.

This restaurant is very clean and they always cook the food right and delicious. The workers are nice and get the food out pretty quickly. I got a chicken avocado burrito today and it tasted amazing! I recommend this location
