I absolutely love everything about this place! It was my first visit, and I'll definitely be coming back again and again. It's so hard to find a Mexican spot with really good nachos, something simple yet delicious, but I've finally found the place. From the moment I walked in, the service was outstanding. A very friendly lady greeted me and took my order right away. I decided to go with Asada Fries and El Pastor Nachos to-go. The prices were great considering the taste and quality. The food came out quickly, and here's what I think about my orderAsada Fries, typically, fries don't hold up well when you order them to-go, so I had low expectations for how they'd turn out. Surprisingly, the fries weren't stale and still had a nice crunch. I really appreciated that the restaurant separated the sour cream, guac, and sauce on the side, so the fries didn't get soggy. The fries were generously covered in cheese, and the asada was cooked perfectly, tender and full of flavor.Al Pastor Nachos, just like the fries, the tortilla chips were perfectly coated in cheese and stayed crunchy by the time I got home. The al pastor was absolutely delicious, with a subtle sweetness and a nice kick of spice. These nachos were definitely my favorite by far. If I had to make one suggestion, I'd ask for onions and cilantro on the side next time to add to the nachos, but other than that, it was perfect!All and all, amazing food doesn't have to be complicated. What a heartwarming and comforting meal.

Wow, what a hidden gem! There are soo many options for Mexican food in the IE, but I'm so glad to have stumbled across this place!Was looking to satisfy a craving for loaded asada fries. My goodness, I swear their carne asada fries are the best I've ever had!!! Super crispy and well-seasoned fries (reminds me of popeyes fries) and tender asada (I'm very picky with asada because it always tends to be dry), topped with heaping amounts of refried beans, guac and sour cream. The portion was massive, they do not skimp! This is a must order if you're a fan and coming hungry.Tacos de lengua were absolutely delicious too! Huge chunks of lengua that were slightly charred and well-seasoned. The lengua was tender without falling apart, and soo flavorful. Surprisingly some of the best I've had, which is something I never expect from a sit-down Mexican restaurant (compared to taco stands in my experience). Salsa could be better.Meal comes with complimentary chips and salsa (you can request a spicier salsa if you like). Only thing I wasn't a fan of was the strawberry margarita. Waayyy too sweet and syrup-y, like actually viscous. My boyfriend had to water it down to make it drinkable lol. Our server was soooo sweet and always made sure we had everything we needed. Love the casual atmosphere; plenty of booth seating and not loud at all. Delicious food, amazing service- can't wait to come back and try more!

Wow, what a little gem! We were passing through Ontario and were craving Mexican food. El Chilitos popped up and we decided to come in. The service was great. Thank you to the waitress that allowed us to try different salsas! The hot one btw, it is HOT. Be warned! Our taquito plates tasted great. Next time we pass through Ontario and want Mexican food, we will make a trip to El Chilitos!

The kind people who work there greet you right away. It's very simple inside. Nothing too fancy. There are lots of Bible verses all around which is a nice thing to see this day and age. The acoustics inside are nice. The music not too loud. You can easily have conversations with the people who are with you. I had the pastor huraches. My other half had the 3 taco special with asada and carnitas. Everything tasted good. They checked in regularly to make sure nothing else needed. Overall great spot we will be back. Everything tasted good.

My wife and I were passing through Ontario and stop by El Chilitos based on the reviews. As we entered, we were greeted with smiles and felt very welcomed as they provided complimentary chips and homemade salsa. We shared a Shredded Beef Burrito and Carne Asada fries. Both were delicious and full of flavor! They were very friendly and attentive through out our time at the restaurant. If you're looking to support a small, local restaurant, with good food and service, make sure to stop by El Chilitos Mexican Restaurant!

Was not happy with this restaurant at all! I was in the mood for tacos on my lunch. My husband and I decided to give this place a try after driving by it several times. Upon our arrival the servers were on it. They greeted us and took our drink orders promptly. While sitting there and looking around it was a tiny little place. In my opinion it could use a little updating but it was decorated fine. I guess this is why I'm giving them 2 stars.We asked for a few more minutes to order as we were still looking over the menu. After we decided what we wanted we were waiting to order but our server never came back. As we were pressed for an hour lunch we couldn't wait any longer so I had to get up to find our server. She was standing behind the counter and apologized for not coming back. I changed my mind and decided on the al pastor burrito and my husband ordered the al pastor torta. We were not happy with our food. The al pastor tasted more seasoned than marinated. My husband's torta was small for the $14 price. And my burrito was so sloppy. 2 bites into my burrito and it was falling apart. So messy I didn't even finish half of it, im fact I threw it away when I got back to work. Let's talk about the price, $40 for a burrito, a torta and 2 drinks. Way too over priced!Overall, no, I will not be returning.
