El Chapin Taco

Got hungry at the Temecula Water Lantern festival. Unfortunately, none of the food options there looked promising. Enter El Chapin, which was 0.3 mi uphill. Worth it. Bit hard to miss because it's inside a convenience store. There are tables and old timey songs playing. There's a nostalgia to the space. I recommend the carne asada pupusa, which is the same price as the others. My friend said the jalapeno one was better. Either way, 5/5 stars - for both the food and service. The guy at the front gave us good banter.

Food is absolutely delicious and fresh. Prices are excellent and staff is always friendly. I find myself coming at least once a week for the bean and cheese pupusas. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

The food is really good! Especially the pupusas! Staff has been nice every time I've gone.

While walking through the town I noticed the sign on the building announcing that there is the restaurant and a steady stream of people walking in and out. Even though there wasn't a single review on yelp or Google maps based on how happy everyone looked walking out I decided to give it a try. I was happy to see that they have Birria de Chivo also known as goat stew as well as menudo, deep fried whole tilapia, pupusas, tacos, burritos, breakfast foods, and a number of other dishes.The prices were reasonable and the service was excellent. There's plenty of parking and it's easy to get to. They take credit cards as well as Apple and Google pay. Based on how busy it was when I was there I'm surprised that I'm the first one leaving a review. While it wasn't the best Birria de Chivo that I've ever had it was in the top five.

Pupusas are really good here. Taste very authentic and very cheesy. My favorite. Would definitely be back.

I've been looking for a place with authentic tasting pupusas and I finally found the place. It is worth the wait! It's inside a Market and is a little warm so be prepared. Definitely will be coming again

Vino con mi familia y pedimos tacos quesabirria, tacos de asada, y un burrito de pollo especial. Si puedes esperar un ratito vale la pena. Precios son razonables y el servicio estaba bien. Como estar en familia. Ven acá a comer riquísimo :)Just delicious food. Birria tacos, steak tacos, burritos etc. Theres a slight wait but I would say its well worth it. Its a little unassuming spot tucked away in a supermarket but make sure you stop there and get it!!!

Delicious food!!! Be patient. Like almost all restaurants, they're short staffed, and because the food is great, they get overwhelmed and very busy. Again, be patient. The food is worth it. It's a tiny spot, literally a hole in the wall. But you go home happy with a full belly. La comida está rica y deliciosa y caliente!! Tengan paciencia. Como casi todos los restaurantes últimamente, no tienen suficiente empleados para servirles rápido y inmediatamente. Pero, si tienen paciencia la comida es rica y vale la pena. También, porque la comida es muy rica, se llena y se pone ocupado. Otra vez, tengan paciencia.
