El Chapala Seafood Restaurant

I odered aguachile thats what it was shrimp in water - no taste, no spices, no peppers, just plane. I also think it was overpriced at $25.00 for the amount of shrimp. The place is old but I know it is difficult for a small business to some remodeling. One thing does not cost any money is cleanness and they need to improve a lot on that. Please clean your windows, your bathroom....!

We tried the quesadilla with a homemade corn tortilla, crema and guacamole with a delicious soft melted Monterey Jack cheese. Wow! Tacos dorado and carne asada taco with homemade tortilla was perfect. Try the tostado ceviche yum! The new owners Juan and Audrey are really trying to please. Let's help them out. Food is yum!

BEST MEXICAN FOOD EVER. i've been coming here for 12 years now and i'm only 19! my family and i will forever love this place, it never disappoints. Even my toddler loves it here and he's a picky eater.

Good food not bad for family owned restaurant takes long for the food to arrive bout is worth Ed enjoy !!

Great Mexican food, not so much on the raw oysters. Everything else is delicious. Highly recommended. You will not be disappointed

Went out to eat with my family and our kids. We were seated, ordered and when I food came out in the middle of eating. I looked up and there was a cockroach on the wall. We called the waitress over and she killed the cockroach with a napkin, she told us that she was going to see what she can do. When we went to pay at the front the owners wife didn't bother to acknowledge the fact that we just seen a cockroach in her restaurant where she serves food to people. If this is the type of business you're running, good luck. And we been coming here for years. Never coming back.

Extremely EXPENSIVE! The food used to be good but now it's not. The food plates are way overpriced almost getting to $20 with the same size servings. They are sometimes rude with customers. From not wanting to modify a plate, such as omitting an ingredient, from where you prefer to sit. They never go back and check on you, if you need a refill or want to order something. They give you your food and just never come back. It's understandable that food prices have gone up but this is extreme.

Food overpriced for what you get. The food wasn't as good as reviews I read. I ordered the green Chile wet burrito. The only thing tasty was the Spicy green Chile sauce the rest was ok. Wife ordered the fried shrimp which was ok but much smaller than the pictures. A huge issue was the service , it was sub par and the worst thing is they added a mandatory 15% gratuity for a party of 6 like big restaurants! When I disputed the service didn't warrant the gratuity the cook / owner got involved and loud! My friends and I will not return!

Got sopes al pastor and they like nothing but manteca quemada. Definitely not worth the price especially not paying $6 [not including tax (their words)] for a bottle of soda. The girl that attended us was just rude especially when we asked to return the bottles.

I have had the shrimp cocktail and Cameron's grandes ala Diabla several times. Great customer service.
