I came across the Eat Love food truck at Vegan Sunday NoHo. I had been interested in trying their food for a while so I approached the food truck full of excitement (the truck is pretty and pink btw). I love the idea behind the self-love bucket: it comes with a small amount of fries and three pieces of vegan fried chicken, and it looks tantalizing. However, there are a few issues. First and foremost, the bucket only comes with one dipping sauce, more sauce costs extra money. If you plan to use the sauce for both the fries and "chicken", one small container of sauce is simply not enough. However, this wouldn't be a problem if the bucket didn't cost a whopping $18. I know that vegan food is expensive and the concept of "vegan fried chicken" probably bumps the price up, but come on! The contents of the bucket are surely not worth the price, ESPECIALLY because the food was simply not good. Okay the fries were good (I mean it's hard to make bad-tasting fries). But as for the fried chicken, I would not, nor would anyone that I ate with, recommend it. They had an odd texture and were completely flavorless. And no, it's not impossible to make vegan fried chicken taste good because I have had amazing vegan fried chicken in the past, Eat Love simply missed the mark. I hope you guys attempt to improve the recipe in the future!

For brick and mortar restaurant I went to the opening for eat love and got my free chicken sandwich. The sandwich was great the waffle fries were great too. I hope you love really does well and expands. They had a limited menu the day I went because obviously it was their opening. But I wanna go back there and try their coleslaw cornbread potato salad, macaroni and cheese, basically all of their sides.

I truly believe that you get what you pay for when eating with Eat Love. All the food is prepared fresh and may take a little bit longer because of that but every bite is so worth it. My faves are the French toast, self love bucket, ice cream sandwich, all the cookies and who am I kidding everything they make. lol I have yet to have a dish of theirs that I didn't love. If you are into quality food then this is a food truck worth trying and believe me you will be coming back for more. The owners are super sweet and innovative with their menu, they are always keep coming up with new food items.

In 2 words: Eat Garbage. After seeing the delicious looking bucket on Instagram, I gave it a shot. It came with a small sauce. I asked for more and was told that was extra. My hands were full, and I didn't want to grab my card, so made due.The breading was crunchy, though flavorless. The actual "meat" tasted like it was soaked in grease. It didn't taste like there was added flavor or spices. If you have to add lots of sauce, which you barely include any of, to a flavorless product, your product is not good. The bucket of chicken is deceptive, since it's only half chicken and half fries. Ironically, the fries are the best part.Very disappointing and it's irritating that this will be a representation of vegan chicken to a lot of non-vegans. There's a handful of food trucks and actual stores in LA with really good vegan chicken, but this isn't it. I'd honestly rather have microwave Gardein.

tastes mostly amazing but the portions are WAY TOO SMALL. For what I paid for, the portion was shockingly small. I highly recommend they up their portion size if they want to keep doing business. Also, the fried chicken would be a lot better if they used an ingredient that is "meatier" on the inside, rather than the wheat gluten they use; it's doughy versus meaty. Fix those 2 issues and you got yourself a gem

I love it when I go to a vegan event and the Eat Love truck is there. I keep coming back to it even when there's technically new places to try. The Eat Love breakfast burrito is one of my favorite food items anywhere. It's enormous and delicious and I would eat it for breakfast every morning if I could. One of the best fried "chicken" places I've had.

I had the Cali Love sandwich which is a "chicken" sandwich with "bacon", avocado and house sauce. It took a lot of eating to get through all of the breading on the chicken. And there wasn't enough sauce or avocado on the sandwich to counter the dryness of the fried "chicken". 19 dollars is also a lot for a sandwich and fries from a good truck. Wouldn't recommend.

So I tried eatlove fried chickn at the vegan faire , I got the more love bucket with French fries , above all the service was ok , they provide little beepers to buzz when your order is ready which I thought was cool but for 3 strips n a bit of fries and homemade buffalo sauce it was 18 bucks I was expecting it to taste bomb af but it was the most greasiest , no flavor what so ever I couldn't finish it it even if I tried it is very disappointing because for the most part all these vegan substitutes have never failed to deliver but sadly this chick'n has . I would suggest they would at least offer samples so people can get an opportunity to try it before buying it . I would not be buying from this food truck again in the future .

I order from this place more than 2 years ago. Never received my order. No response to my emails or DMs. No refund. No explanation. Just nothing. Whomever ran this business needs to be blocked from ever opening up another business due to fraud!

Items are quite overpriced overall but I get it. Vegan food usually comes with a hefty price tag, and especially veg "comfort" food. I ordered an eight piece bucket for my family that feeds "up to 4 people" as stated on the menu and it came with 3 sauces and 2 sides. The chicken was pretty good, crispy and flavorful coating but not the best to eat on its own-I'd suggest a burger/sandwich. The sauces we picked were delicious-Ranch, Honey Mustard, and Chipotle. The biggest problem I had was the VERY misleading menu. It's logical to expect the amount of sides will be suitable for the amount of people the bucket of chicken will feed; however, this meal came with about 1/2 cup of Mac (creaminess grade A-/flavor grade D- ) and literally only 1 (dry but somehow still doughy/undercooked) biscuit that came out when we were nearly done with our whole meal.Hoping this issue will get fixed and they'll include more of the sides to be compatible with the amount of chicken in the bucket, but overall probably won't ever go back again unless I hear otherwise from the vegan community about the place getting an upgrade or adding something new.
