Dos Amigos Birrieria

Always, Always, Always Delicious I tried a Birrieria burrito and it was just as good as the taco! I would not replace the taco as I love that corn tortilla and cheese crunch, however the burrito is more filling with all the rice and beans!The service is always pleasant and restaurant is clean.

I was at the little Montclair Shoppes plaza on Central Ave getting some avocado toast from Juice n Bowls. I couldn't help myself and decided to see what else I can delve my teeth into. I saw Dos Amigos Birrieria and was curious.It's a Mexican restaurant with very quaint interior. They have full dine-in and to-go only. I chose the latter as I didn't have time to hang around and eat. They appeared to be quite busy at the time so the wait would have been a bit long if I ordered any big items. Hence, I just got an order of chips and salsa. OMG... love the thick and crunchy chips! Lots of them, too! Salsa was good with a slight kick of spice. Funny, the salsa was only filled half way in the container. I guess next time I'll have to buy 2 orders to get the container to be filled up to the top LOL. It was $4.49 per order.The gentleman who helped me was nice and very helpful. The wait was not very long at all. I'll have to come back here to try their burritos and tacos one fine day.

Finally got to try out the new birrieria in Montclair and it's actually pretty good. Right in front of Costco so the traffic can get crazy but definitely worth it. They have a menu of different birria items and the birria itself tastes really good! They sell alcohol, beers, seltzers but no hard liquor. The service was great! Our waitress was really nice and helpful. The ambiance is chill, since it's not a huge restaurant. They have tables for small or large parties. Definitely worth trying if you're in the mood for some birria

I am giving the 4 stars for only 1 reason! I have ordered 3x's all pick ups, all called in and all 3x's my order was WRONG! I REPEATED the order and had them repeat it back and the 3rd time before I left I checked the food and it was WRONG! The lead took my receipt and took the food and showed the cooks. They went back and forth in spanish and though I'm not able ton speak it fluently I understood and the cook shrugged their shoulders and the girl who took the order blamed me! I was like ok I totally understand. The food is flavorful, and amazing but the customer service is questionable. The lead was going to toss the Tacos and I said ooh please don't I can give them to my neighbor who eats onion and cilantro and then he said okay then he rang me up again and charged me for the new Tacos. Nothing in life is free but I felt they should have comped the two tacos.

Fellow YE amigo and I decided to try this place out before seeing a movie at the local AMC.Staff was welcoming and asked if my order was for pick-up or dine-in. I let her know, and I was seated promptly. Traffic was decent with many tables taken but enough for us to take a seat fairly immediately.Ambiance is really chill! Lots of tables just talking and laughing, and the vibe is warm and welcoming. Amigo and I ordered watermelon agua fresca and horchata.We each had a burrito. His was with birria, and mine was with asada. Both were awesome. I added a side to mine, and the chicharron was really good. This place is definitely one of the better places I've had a burrito, and their offerings for the sides are really awesome. I can't complain with how my burrito came out. The cheese, tortilla, beans, avocado, and meat were all balanced, and it tasted awesome. No gristle in my asada. We'll definitely come through again when we're in the area for a movie. It was a great first impression here, and the staff was amazing to check up on his and ask if we were all okay. It was a seamless experience.Cheers!

I've driven by this place a bunch of times and finally made it. I will be back. They are located in a strip mall across from the Costco in Montclair off of Central. Next to Tommy's (chili). By the 10 freeway. Ordered the Birria Burrito. It was bomb! I was pretty shocked at the size- like whoa! That's a lot of burrito. See photos and salsa container for reference. The meat was perfect- nice and tender and flavorful. My only complaint - real heavy on guacamole. This is generally not an issue as I love guacamole, however I would get it on the side. I didn't try the consome so next time I will. Honestly I'll be splitting the burrito next time - that big. The staff was friendly and helpful. They brought out three different types of salsa - green, red, red chili oil(hottest). I wasn't in a spicy mood at that moment so tried just the green and standard red. Both were good and we asked for additional salsa that was provided. I accompanied my burrito with a tasty horchata. The layout is nice with plenty of seating. The kitchen area is open so if you were in the take out area you could watch your food being made. Prices were a lil high, as most are in today's economy. Included receipt in photos.

Bad customer service.I spent over $60 on food to-go and they tried to give me 2 small cups of salsa and 1 birria sauce. The cashier Jennifer was rude about it too and said she can only give 2 extras just making up rules clearly because I bought 2 burritos and 4 tacos so how is that enough salsa for each item. Be transparent about your salsa policy so customers can pay for it when they place their order and not have to beg to pay for it when they're leaving. So embarrassing for your business. Throwing away customers over salsa

They say you always remember your first time...well, this was my first time having birria tacos. I have since gone on to many others, but this place was awesome...I mean, it has Birrieria in its name! It is a casual restaurant with a few TVs and a medium amount of seating inside. We were seated immediately on a weekday for an early dinner. Our server was with us quickly to get our drink orders.There are so many great options on the menu and the variations of the birria. I got the quesobirria taco combo, which came with two tacos and a side. I enjoyed that it had cheese very much, although I think a regular birria taco would have been great as well. The consome, which is basically the drippings from the meat, was great to dip it in. I got rice and beans as my side and they were very good, clean, not heavy or oily.

Serio , primero veo que tienen una B por la comida segunda cosa esque le dije que no queria la salsa con aceite y me pusieron solo 3 salsas dos de Ella's eran aceite cuando compre 2 birrias ????? Queria verde y Rojas y no susedio tienen 4 personas yo era la unica persona en el restaurant y no pueden hacker una sola orden bien ???????

Yuck. A B rating ? Terrible. Used to enjoy eating here. Sadly no more. Too many other options that can stay clean
