Good lord Not sure if I have written a review on donahoo's yet or not if I have then this is just an update. Everything about this is just absolutely perfect. They take card now which is nice. Staff super friendly. Got the 4 piece and all the other big fried chicken establishments have nothing in Donahoo's. Perfectly seasoned and fried to perfection. Crispy all around! Juicy !! Fries perfectly seasoned. The bun all buttered. The hot sawce ooooou!! Gooooood Super friendly staff! Harding working crew. Don't forget to tip and help out local business. Not so much hidden, but a true gem in the city of Ontario. The way they box it comes out awesome. Puts a smile on your face as soon as you pick it up. Getting home and opening your box is a true treat. Place and ambiance is small but nice.A sincere thank you! 12/10

In the 18th century, the preparation of poultry was a laborious affair, involving the chasing, capturing, and eventual plucking of a hapless bird--a process that could occupy the better part of a day. Imagine my astonishment upon discovering Donahoo's Golden Chicken in Ontario, California, where succulent fried chicken is dispensed with the efficiency of a musket drill.Approaching the establishment, I was struck by the absence of the familiar cacophony of clucking hens. Instead, a serene ambiance prevailed, punctuated only by the sizzle of frying oil--a sound that, in my time, would signify either a feast in preparation or an unfortunate kitchen conflagration. The menu, a simple parchment by modern standards, offered various portions of fried chicken, accompanied by "steak-cut fries" and rolls. I opted for a three-piece chicken strip combo, curious to experience this contemporary take on poultry. The meal was presented in a compact box, a marvel of convenience compared to the sprawling feasts of yore. The chicken strips were golden and crisp, their exterior reminiscent of the finest armor, encasing tender, flavorful meat within. The seasoning was a delicate balance, a far cry from the heavy-handed salting of my era, which often left one parched as a sailor adrift at sea. The fries, stout and hearty, bore the unmistakable ridges of modern ingenuity--crisp on the outside, yet yielding to a fluffy interior. As I dined, I observed patrons exchanging slips of green paper for their meals, a curious departure from the barter system of my day. The staff, efficient and courteous, operated with a precision that would make any drill sergeant proud, yet without the barked commands and stern countenances.Reflecting upon my experience, I marveled at the evolution of dining. In my time, procuring a meal involved toil and time; here, one simply approaches a counter, and within moments, a feast is in hand. Donahoo's Golden Chicken offers a harmonious blend of flavor and convenience, a testament to the culinary advancements of the modern age.Four out of five stars--for the delectable fare, the swift service, and the merciful absence of live poultry in the dining area. A commendable establishment that bridges the centuries with grace and gusto.

located in a small unassuming strip small with limited parking, this chicken shop boasts a ton of flavor with great service! with a fairly simple menu, this shop is clearly very popular as many people were coming in and out as i was waiting for my order. the breading of the chicken is extremely crunchy and has a bunch of flavor with the variety of herbs and seasonings that they use. the potato wedges use the same batter and are fantastic as they're thinly sliced. overall a great experience at donahoos!

Found out about this spot from a local foodies IG. He said it was the BEST in the IE so i had to try it. I can honestly say it was pretty darn good! The wings were cooked to perfection and well seasoned. The roll was soooo good. And you can never go wrong with well seasoned crinkle cut fries. I placed my order online and it was ready at the promised time. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with smiles by everyone. This is a must if you're in the area!!

Some of if not the BEST fried chicken and chicken strips I have had! Call ahead because the wait times to pick up can be high at times but i promise you it's worth the wait. The strips are very thick but have so much flavor and great crunch, the French fries are awesome and have a bunch of flavor. We also get the wedges which are probably my all time favorite wedges I've ever had! And then if you're in for a treat order the fried pickles!!

I visited on a Friday evening and it was very busy. The place is pretty small and no dine in available. There is limited seating inside for those waiting for their orders. Customer service is excellent. Pro tip is to call ahead to order and just pick up when you arrive. It is located in a plaza with limited parking. You can however park across the street. They have fried chicken bone in as well as tenders. However, i would only recommend their bone in chicken. I ordered a 8 pieces with their wedges, macaroni salad and chicken tenders. Everything is made fresh so you will have to wait. The food usually comes with 1 bread which appears very popular and is baked fresh. Our food took about 50 minutes. Their fries and wedges are great and fresh. They batter the wedges and fry them fresh. As for the chicken, wow the crunch is insane and the chicken was flavorful and juicy. The potato salad was very very good. I prefer the potato salad over the mac salad. The tenders were on the drier side...Their ranch was very good also. I will say it is on the heavier side but its fried chicken so yeah its heavy. I was only able to eat a few pieces before i felt very full. This place exceeded my expectations (except for the tenders). Fresh, crispy fried chicken with great sides. PRO TIPS: call ahead to order, skip the tenders, get the potato salad and get the fries and ranch!

Food: chicken is always freshly fried and made to order. Sides are all outstanding. Probably one of the best fried chicken spots in the area. 100% better than fast food fried chicken.Service: awesome service as they'll explain everything on their menu to you if you are a first timer. Ambiance: not much to say here, it is really a phone in or order and pick up later. Value: a little pricey but you can tell they use quality stuff and the taste justifies the price. Parking: it is in a tiny lot, so limited parking. You can park in the plaza across the street and walk a bit. Note: phone in your order beforehand, if not, you'll be there waiting for 45-1hr

Great Fried Chicken! Excellent service. I'd never been, but now would suggest ordering by telephone, because they are a make to order business. Freshly fried and NO Heat lamps to fill an order.
