D'Elia's Grinders

D'Elia's Grinders are a staple in my house. We love all of their grinders, so my review is biased. Based on others I have talked to, they either love them or hate them, and this is based on their idea of what a grinder should be.These have a very crunchy exterior compared to many, but for me that is what makes these so unique and special. I always get the Capicolla, double meat extra oil, and it is divine. In my opinion, it is the best grinder I have ever had. With all that said, the food is consistently fresh and tasty, and the service is always friendly whenever I go. I have been going at least four times a year since the 1980s. The only reason I don't go more often is that I live in Corona. I'd go once a week if they had a location in Corona LOL. This rating is based on the food and service. The dining area is roomy and basic, but I always get my food to go, so it's inappropriate for me to rate the ambiance, but I have never had a negative feeling from this establishment.

My mother in law and family have been come here since the early 80s ! When in Riverside or just simply hungry for a great Grinder D'Elias is the place whether we drive from Rialto or Redlands, it's the bread that makes their Grinders so good and delicious! Heard great things about this place and put it on my list to try when I passed through the area.... Well, that day finally came! I'm a sucker for an Italian Sub so I got the Italian Grinder! I'm always on the hunt for a great sandwich joint and I heard the bread was really great here so I was excited to try it.It was definitely tasty! They are not stingy with the meat and cheese... I love that!The bread was good, not oh my goodness great, but I'm not complaining at all. Because of reading reviews I don't know what I was expecting! Lol I absolutely recommend this place! The young guy that helped me was super friendly and very helpful as I told him it was my first time in. The decor is nothing fancy. Perfect lunch spot if you're in the mood for a sandwich!

We came here from the recommendation of our Nephew. We wanted to eat a nice Grinder, both my Wife & I were talking about the old GRINDER HEAVEN , in Ontario Ca My Wife ordered their Ham Sub and I ordered their 3 meat Sub and an order of their Macaroni Salad. Everything was great, brought back those good old memories from Grinder Heaven The inside of the place was very clean, service was quick. We are definitely coming back again. Wish we had something like this in Fontana

I've never rooted for a BOGO free to end but this one is tied to the Dodgers. Every game day in the playoffs they will give a free grinder basically. Best value ever!

I really wanted to like this place since it's a staple in riverside and there's so many good reviews . However I order their club sub and the bread was so unbelievably hard (maybe it's because I went in the evening and the bread isn't fresh idk) but once I took everything out and used my own bread it was delicious their meats are good . My partner had a steak and cheese sub he was not a fan of it , the steak had too much fat and not enough flavor . We also order their cookies which were good .

Had this sandwich place on my bucket list, Wow this has to be the worst sandwich I've ever eaten. Horrible to be exact. The bread is so dry and hard it felt like a sandwich on crackers. Please go elsewhere. Tummy Stuffers or Cheba Hut.I did complain and asked for softer bread and they said they're known for their bread to be crumbly, yikes!!! Never again will I dine here.

Always great, love the bread. I've been coming here since I was a little kid. I will be back.

We arrived at 5:32pm to order 2 simple ham and cheese grinders...I didn't think asking for extra mayo was an issue ..There were 3 other customers besides myself and husband staff were busy chatting among themselves...What could go wrong...Ill let the photo's speak for themselves...Absolutely unacceptable..
