Cruz Tacos

Whether you are a foodie or you just love good traditional Mexican food, this little hidden hole in the wall is a must.Every single one of the meets here is just really high quality and really tasty with great seasoning. Jill little dining room area here with about eight tables inside and two tables outside. They've got a couple of coolers with canned Waters like liquid death and some juices, or they have fountain drinks here as well as some traditional things like Jamaica and horchata. The service here is just always great as well. Friendly smile at the counter and whether you're dining in or coming in to grab and go, they bring the food out to you in the dining room. Great little salsa bar here as well with six different flavors. My favorite is the darker red sauce with a little bit of smoke or Chipotle flavor to it. Definitely have not been disappointed yet here with anything we've ordered... So Definitely get your normal favorites, because it will exceed expectations... But also be adventurous and try something new.

Ordered the lengua soft taco and the ground beef hard shell taco. The lengua was on the chewy side and very tiny. The beef taco was better and much more filling. My friend got the carnitas burrito and said it was tender and delicious. I tried a bit and it was good. Next time I'll switch it up. 3.5 stars

Updating my review. As much as I love this place last night was just not it. This is not the first time my food was meh but last night was the icing on the cake. I ordered a taco salad which I ALWAYS get. When my husband brought it home it wasn't hot, not inky was it not hot the shell was burned and the ground beef was old. Smh not happy as I really like this place. As always I will give it another go. Please do me right next time Cruz Tacos.

As a pescatarian with a citrus allergy it is hard to find a place that serves more than just seafood. Welp I found it. Nice cozy spot with cute decorative dining smiles from the employees and great food. I wanted some carne asada fries made with vegan meat and they delivered. Their beans are also vegan and I opt for real cheese bc I love me some cheese! My food was amazing and the portion size was ridiculous. Don't worry they have real meat as well so if you are looking for good authentic Mexican food try them. My food was seasoned with love and I enjoyed every bite!

We ordered Polo asada tacos they were very dry. We also ordered a Cali burrito that came with very over cooked carne asada and no Avacado. (Cant say I've ever had a Cali burrito with no Avacado.) It had a ton and I mean a TON of sour cream in it and few fries and way too much tortilla was involved it was like chewing on a rawhide. The Rice had no flavor. The mild salsas were okay. The mild red had very little flavor. The Mild salsa verde was tasty. The Avocado salsa we didn't care for. The Restaurant was fairly busy. There were a few dirty empty tables. We paid $48.00. This place had such a huge following we felt we should try it. We won't be going back. We were not impressed.

First time visiting Cruz Tacos. They are located in a small shopping center, and the restaurant is well marked with welcoming signage on the door.I called in my order for pickup but was not 100% sure what would be in the vegan breakfast burrito. I noticed another review said they started using Just Egg but mostly I saw photos of a tofu egg. The online menu lists that the vegan burrito will contain rice, beans, vegan cheese, pico and tofu egg. They had just opened so maybe that affected the ingredients used but it did not contain pico, but instead also contained potato along with everything else listed. All this to say that maybe they fluctuate how they put together their vegan breakfast burrito.... But regardless, I really loved the mix of ingredients used in my burrito. It was filling and tasty. Flavor: REALLY tasty! You can tell that the tortilla was going to be delicious even before trying. Ever great burrito starts with great tortillas. I love that their beans and rice are naturally vegan and they both had tons of flavor. I appreciated the tofu egg that was seasoned well. The burrito wasn't massive but definitely was large enough to fill me up.Salsa bar: there were 6 different salsas located near the order counter in a very clean, temperature controlled bar. When not being used, a lid covers the salsa bar to keep it cool and clean. This was really unique to other salsa bars I've seen and much appreciated. The spicy red and mild green salsas that I tried were super tasty. (I didn't double check that they were completely vegan but just assumed so.)Next time I'm in Temecula, I will definitely try their plant based meats for lunch or dinner & passing along the info to friends if they're coming here for a visit. I was greeted warmly upon entering the restaurant, Cruz Tacos has authentic Mexican flavors & the food is reasonably priced; what more could you want?

Always a great place to eat here locally in Murrieta. A great family owned business. I haven't been here in a while but glad we chose this place to pick up food. The burritos were great and always. The food was made fast and brought out to me even though my food was to go. The place hasn't changed since the last time I was there but I don't think things needed to be changed with the ambiance and decor.

I'm a regular customer here . Food is usually spot on but tonight was a definite thumbs down! Ordered the chimichanga, not a plate of instant acid reflux! I have never seen a chimichanga served like this! The whole idea of ordering a chimichanga is for the deep fried crunch. Absolutely disgusting. Hard pass!After spending $15 for disappointment, I contracted Cruz tacos to voice my displeasure and much to my surprise , they didn't even offer to make it right. Horrible customer service.

I was loyal customer here for years and I getting disappointed time by time the food they made are very salty and the meat ( beef and chicken) are very dry I think I am going to try other locations of Chipotle hope it doesn't taste like here (Murrieta)

As one who loves authentic Mexican food, sadly, this restaurant is a strikeout! Yes, I know this is not what you want to see or that this type of review is being posted; however, he is my account- I have been to this location twice, and I heard and read that you are not just another Taco or Mexican restaurant; your business is a proper, authentic restaurant. Let me say you missed this action by miles. Both times when I patron this location, the food was bland, and what is purely upsetting is how poorly you take no pride in the food and making sure what we, as customers, pay for has any taste or rises to the level of what good Mexican food should be. Ordering your Pollo Soup was a tremendous letdown. There was no flavor or taste, and it was bland. It was chicken and hot water with vegetables. I know other patrons may love your menu or rave about what you offer; however, as one who loves a good Mexican restaurant and is willing to drive up to 2 hours, yes, that is right! Sadly, I would rather go elsewhere than make an attempt or effort to give it a third try.
