Cotijas Taco Shop

My friend in Temecula wasn't kidding about this spot's breakfast burrito - this thing is absolutely massive! Stopped by the drive-through while I was in town for a birthday celebration, and I'm still thinking about how delicious it was. The portion size is jaw-dropping, but it's not just about quantity - the quality and flavors were spot-on too.Honestly, it's worth the drive if you're in the area. My friend's a regular at their drive-through and now I can see why!

Have been going here since they opened their doors. By far the best taco shop in the Temecula area. Great customer service, fast and very convenient drive thru. Delicious red salsa

My husband and son got food poisoning from the Temecula restaurant on Sunday, Jan 19, 2025. They both had carne asada burritos at around 2pm. Both had vomiting and diarrhea for two days. We won't be going there again.

We decided to give this eatery a second chance. There is no seating available only a drive up window. Service was quick and friendly and the food was securely packed.We ordered: two cheese enchiladas combo and a Chile Relleno with a cheese enchilada combo. Wow! The food was so fresh and flavorful plus portions were generous! The tortillas tasted like they were homemade, the rice and beans were delicious as well as the Chile Relleno. It was full of gooey, savory cheese and it was perfect!We were very happy with our meals and will continue to support this small business especially if they keep serving outstanding food. What a great improvement from the first time. Glad we listened to our daughter to give them a second chance.

I used to really like Cotijas but the quality has fallen to a new low. Today I ordered the 2 fish taco combo, but what I got was 2 over-fried BEEF tacos. The beef was disgusting, bland, I couldn't eat the awful tacos, I threw them in the trash. I also received cold refried beans and cold rice, how is this even possible??? The Door Dash driver got to my house in two minutes and it was in a sealed plastic food container. This is very dangerous to serve food at an unsafe temperature, people will get sick as bacteria forms and grows if left sitting around below the correct temperature. And the last annoying oversight? No hot sauce at all, which may have masked the terrible taste of the beef. Improve how you do business before you make people sick. I am no longer a fan of Cotijas.

This place is a hit or miss for me. About a year ago it was a total miss but yesterday 5/31/24 I gave it another shot and it was a total hit but blown away by how pricey this place has gotten. I would be lying to you if the burritos were tiny, they were massive and the cooks were not shy with the meat. Both burritos were very tasty. Now the salsa unfortunately is pre packaged and water down (Green salsa). The price, holy moly, I know things are pricy everywhere but both burritos cost $29 bucks. I think that's steep for a drive thru place but hey, it's not an everyday thing. I was being lazy and didn't want to cook anything.

I've had several issues with this restaurant, some when ordering directly via the restaurant and others when ordering via Grubhub. When ordering directly via the restaurant, they have given me the wrong order.When ordering via Grubhub in one instance they never received my Grubhub order. In a different instance, I came to pick up my order and gave them my name. They then made me wait around for 10 mins until they realized my food was already made and had been sitting on the counter the entire time I was waiting there.

Terrible service and extremely rude. Apparently they can't make tacos with beans? How does this work for a vegetarian...

I also got food poisoning from a bean and cheese burrito on 1/18/25 around 3:00 pm. Vomiting and diarrhea non stop for two days. Never ever again.
