The Claremont Museum of Art has a cool, unique location, inside a Spanish style building that used to host the Santa Fe Depot, the railway station stop. So, the museum is located on the other side of the Metrolink stop. Once you get outside the train, you'll see it right away. The entrance is on the other side, where the downtown spreads out.Plan your visit wisely since the museum is open only Fridays- Sundays from Noon to 4 pm. Admission is $5.Calling the Claremont Art Museum an actual museum is a bit stretching it. It's more like an art gallery with 2 rooms filled with the temporary exhibit and its items on display. It's cute inside, but asking for admission is a bit much. My money is going to a good cause since I love art, but you'll spend about half an hour inside.Nice interior, great to admire and check out. I saw the Living with Clay exhibit, focused on pottery, from a private collection. It was cool to see art created by one of my favorites actors, Lance Henriksen on display, I knew he does pottery, but I haven't seen any of his creations till visiting this museum. Just for that and it was worth it!They have nice restrooms (under lock, ask for the key, it seems to be a common practice in Claremont), the girl working behind the desk was very nice and welcoming, gave us details about the exhibit and other art museums in the area.Pleasant visit, a nice tiny museum to check out if you're in the area!

The ideal setting for such an incredible display of Claremont's talent; just like a very precious gem, it is small but full of beauty. The Claremont Depot's architecture graciously frames the work of talents such as Millard Sheets, John Edward Svenson, Harrison MacIntosh, Rebecca Hamm (from the new generation of talent) currently on display. What a wonderful experience was to be there. Can't wait for the new exhibition "Tree Speak" to open on April First.A modest admission of $5.00 can open your mind and soul to a wonderful journey in fine art that begins, you are right, at the Claremont Depot.

Try to visit on special days that are free, if you feel the admission is a little bit expensive. It's acceptable for me anyway, although I'm not professional in art. Good place for a relaxed afternoon and the receptionist is nice.

I loved every single piece of art showcased. The volunteer at the desk was very informative and gave a great history of the museum. Also, love that this museum is in the train depot. I can't wait to see future exhibits here.

Absolutely amazing museum, I cant wait to go back for their new exhibit in April! The collection shows a verity of mediums such as painting, sculpture, and ceramics. I was able to talk with some of the volunteers on staff, they personally knew a few of the exhibited artist, giving incredible insight. The rich history, talent, and culture of Claremont radiates from the CMA; highly recommend.

Moving in late 2016, this museum is now in the old train station depot next to the new Metrolink station platforms. The site is within walking distance of downtown Claremont.20 minutes of free parking in front of the museum which is plenty of time because it only took 10 minutes to visit the two rooms of art. Although a tiny museum, the opening exhibit in the new location displayed quality pieces from their collection of artists with local connections like Sam Maloof, Millard Sheets, and Milford Zornes.
