We went about 30 minutes after opening time and were the only people in the restaurant. While we were seated immediately, it took a while for anyone to take our drink order. A young server, then arrived to work and took over our table and we were actually able to get, some drinks in. We had already given our order to the owner who was very friendly. The beef bulgogi was tender but perhaps a bit bland. We ordered the Baja California roll, but they brought us the Magic Mountain instead. It looked really tasty when it came out so we decided to just keep it. I'm glad we did. It was excellent. I really enjoyed their chicken bento box as well as their generous pour of plum wine.

Visited the Lavender Nights tonight and we decided to eat in the area before heading back to the the OC. We yelped this place and decided to try it.Yelp hours say they are open till 10pm, I decided to call and they said they close at 9pm, we had 45 minutes eat. Lots of parking Sunday evening.The place is clean. They have a small sushi bar. We had Chicken Katsu, Chicken Teriyaki and side order of mixed Tempura. We didn't feel like having sushi tonight. Service was good. A young lady by herself with another party in the dining room with us. She worked with sense of urgency. The Chicken Katsu was $19 and was thinly sliced and the portion was on the smaller side. This is one of my favorite dishes in the Japanese restaurants and this particular dish was nothing special, lacked flavor. My friend had the Chicken Teriyaki and he said it was 4.5. The mixed tempura was good. Nicely fried, but the assortment was more like a side dish rather than an appetizer. It only had 1 squash, 2 onions, 2 shrimps, and 2 zucchini's. Overall, I gave a 3, simply comparing liked dishes from other restaurants.

City Sushi is definitely a local favorite. The service is great and the food is delicious. Lots of choices and the Thai Tea is amazing. Each of the rolls are fun with familiar flavors you find in many establishments. It is a casual place so taking the kids or just going in comfy clothes is fine - it's nice to have a place like this close to home.

*Ordered takeout via DoorDash*I was feeling Japanese food for lunch and this place always looks good so I thought I'd give it a try. Let's just say they did not disappoint! The chicken was cooked to perfection, the salad wasn't overpowered with dressing and the rice wasn't sticky. I will be going for their dine-in experience one of these days.

I have been a frequent City Sushi customer for about 5+ years now and last night ( Janurary 25th ) was truly an unfortunately shocking expirence. Upon placing a phone order the young woman receiving my phone order had put in an item wrong which I quickly caught while picking up the order. The item was remade which took about an extra 15 minutes ontop of my wait time and I didn't receive anything as simple as an apology. After finally picking up my order I had taken it to my vehicle and noticed not only was one of my items made completely incorrect but I was given two of the same items. After about a minute of stepping of the establishment I see the worker had followed me out to my vehicle asking for the extra roll back. Now I have no issue with this; my issue begins at the fact I was searched for in the parking lot and followed to my vehicle ( as a woman alone with a BABY ) to be asked for a sushi roll that was sitting open in my car to give to another customer. In my opinion being the other customer receiving a roll that I would have no idea is sitting open in another customers car is horrible. I simply cannot describe it as anything other than disgusting. Now I will say I do understand from the customer service perspective losing money on an order being made incorrectly once, and then an extra item being added to that bag but I cannot get behind searching a parking lot at 8:00PM in the rain for a customer to knock on their window and ask for already opened food back to give someone else. I was truly disappointed and shocked by my expirence in this establishment.

Every time I came here I had no issues until today. My order wad made wrong two times. The first time I gave them grace and thought it was a human error. The second time they put something else in my roll that I've never seen in my previous rolls. I paid $20 for this roll smh!
