Food: I had a chance to come here and order whatever I wanted for an amazing recruitment dinner. I had high expectations, since this is the most talked about restaurant in the neighborhood. It was good, definitely better than caprice cafe, but not mindblowingly good. The tartar for appetizer was bland, not much flavor, the crispy bread was so thin and crumbly. Burrata in my salad was stringy, cooked peppers tasted odd. Drinks were ok though, strawberry fizz was sweet and not too strong, which I liked. Gnocchi had too much blue cheese, linguine texture was still pretty hard, more so than al dente. Chocolate volcano tasted a bit burnt, but tiramisu was delicious.Price: the company that was doing recruitment paid for my dinner, but I attached the menu with pricing for reference, hope this helps. Definitely in the pricier sideAmbiance: dimly lit classic interior design, best for date nights, not really a kid friendly vibeService: the servers were very nice and kind and patient, since our dinner did not start until later (30 minutes wait time) when everyone had arrived. It did seem a bit slow for them to come around though, maybe because we were located in a separate private room (which can accommodate around 12 people I think)Parking: ended up parking on the street close to the restaurant, thankfully they were all free without much restrictions

Service was outstanding (thank you Manny). Ambiance is very nice - mission style chop house - upscale but not stuffy.Food was a bit mixed. Garlic bread is amazing. I know they recommend the focaccia but the garlic bread as perfect. We paired it with the buratta salad as our app. So good. The flank steak was excellent but very small portion. Over priced for sure but very good. Pasta was served less than room temp. It had potential to be good but it was a bit gummy. The manager took it off the bill when he made his round and asked how everyone liked everything. Very generous. Pizza was good but the flavor of one of the sausages was off. Almost fermented. But once we figured out what it was, we picked it off. Sides were good but overpriced. I'd go back if in the area but be more picky about what I order due to the prices.

Our food was amazing but the hostess who seated us was very rude. We arrived 10 minutes late for our reservation, and had spoken to the restaurant letting them know we we were running late. The website stated reservations have a 2 hour limit, and the hostess rudely told us that since we were 10 minutes late we could only dine for an hour and 10 minutes. The reduced dining time was not mentioned when we had spoken to the restaurant right before we arrived. Amazing food, just wish the whole situation was handled a bit more kindly and professionally.

Dined here 12/29. First time here. We meant to head to Caprice Cafe only to find out they are closed on Sundays. The hostess greeted a family before us who had a reservation and were asked if they wanted to see the wine list. We had no reservation and were told the bar booth seating was all that was available and no offer to see a wine list. I love a good Cabernet. Shaun was our server and he was amazing. He recommended the espresso martini which makes it to the top of my favorite espresso martinis. I asked the ingredients and I think it's the vanilla in the vodka that makes the difference. Perfect foam and flavor. He suggested some really good starters: burrata salad, bread, corn ravioli and tartar. The tartar was ok but the other 3 were amazing. We had 4 entrees including I believe it's the sliced ribeye. The ramekin is f sauce/spread they gave with it was cold so we asked for the peppercorn warm sauce which was underwhelming in flavor. The steak was just ok and not finished. The lobster ravioli was underwhelming in flavor and the risotto was a little saucier/soupier than a standard risotto. The ambiance was nice. Shaun the server gets a 10 star but the restaurant a 4 star based on the entrees.

Wow, steak sure had gotten expensive here. Tried the pasta at a more reasonable price; pleasant. Will need to find another steak place, but still love the citrone salad and wine selection. Service seemed busy, and not as attentive as I am used to; stuff happens. Very disappointed in lack of disabled parking spaces anywhere near entrance. But overall still a quality experience in Redlands

This is a gorgeous restaurant. We visited on a Sunday for dinner. We called ahead and asked about wait times and were told there were no tables available but we could try the bar area. We arrived and thankfully there was a table available in the bar. We looked in the restaurant and there were several empty tables. Our server approached and asked if we were ready to order. We had just been seated and having never been, needed to look at the menu. We placed drink orders and looked at the menu. The waiter came by several more times and seemed a bit irritated we weren't ready to order. We asked his opinion about a few things and ordered. We also asked about the house focaccia and were brought some along with oil and vinegar. We ordered the meatball appetizer which was delivered to the table cold. The meatballs had good flavor but the texture was off, most likely due to the temp they were served at. The burrata was on a bed of roasted peppers and was really good. I would 100% go back for that. We also ordered a Citrone salad. The citrus was very bitter and the currants almost tasteless. The dressing was really lovely. This salad could be really good with a few tweaks. The house focaccia is really good. The olive oil it's served with is really good quality and has a great flavor. The only observation is that it isn't served warm and we all felt that would have been nice. We asked for more and were grudgingly brought another basket. I was glad to have it for the burrata as it was lovely together. The crust is perfect and the bread itself is soft and flavorful. Our entrees came and we dug in. The Spahetti del Vesuvio is a nice basic pasta that had good flavor. I felt the portion size was a bit small on most of the pastas. The Chicken Pizzaiola is a good size crispy chicken cutlet. Nice light breading and great flavor. The Rigatoni Bolognese was excellent. The sauce has a deep flavor that feels like it's developed over hours. Would definitely order again. The Fettucine Parmigiano was really great. All the pasta is made in house and you can really tell. The sauce is parm forward without being overly rich. Another we would get again. We ordered the apple crostada for desert and it was served lukewarm with ice cream. My daughter really liked it but I wasn't a fan. The flavor was ok but the pastry was anemic looking with no color. The apples were very bland and not very soft. It was just ok. My daughter said she would order again. I would not. The entire time we were there they continued to have empty tables. When we left and walked by the patio, more than half was not seated. There is no option to wait for a table. If you don't have a reservation the only option is to see if you can sit in the bar area. We were fine in the bar. I just don't understand the seating options. Especially when quite a few tables remained empty the whole time we were there. All of this to say we would return. The items we enjoyed were very good. The few glitches would not prevent us from going back. I feel that now we know what we wouldn't order, our next visit would be 5 stars.

I'm disappointed. My husband and I chose to come to Citrone after reading all the rave reviews about the service, specifically the service guests received recently for their anniversaries. In recent reviews, guests explained that they received a card signed by all the staff, special dessert, champagne on the house... We were hoping for some recognition as this is our 5th wedding anniversary and we were excited to celebrate somewhere. That being said, the host who sat us didn't ask if we were celebrating anything, and neither did our waitress. We were both dressed nicely and both had cards for one another, so it was clear something was being celebrated. Our waitress was nice, but her lack of making the experience personalized was offsetting. Aside from the lack of recognition of our special occasion, the food was nothing to write home about. I ordered the fusilli pesto pasta, which was way too salty. My husband ordered the linguine de mar which was good, and we shared the endiva salad which was fresh, but felt overpriced. We also got the chocolate volcano dessert, but again, nothing you can't get from somewhere else. The ambiance was pretty, but the music didn't match the aesthetic of the restaurant. If you're celebrating a special occasion, I'm not sure I would choose to dine here.

Citrone is 5 stars in every way. Hands down the best restaurant in Redlands! Not only are the owners so nice and friendly, taking time to come and say hello to the guests, they are also generous. They surprised us with a half bottle of champagne for an anniversary celebration plus a card signed by the staff! (Make sure to tell them what you are celebrating when you book your reservation!)The food is delicious every time! The filet is my fav and the Gorgonzola salad, their take on the wedge- so good! They have delicious cocktails including a killer espresso martini made with real espresso and plenty of choices when it comes to beer and wine. If you haven't been to Citrone, what are you waiting for? Do it :)
