The family and I had gone to try this place for the first time. The service was amazingly great. We were a large party, yet still was quick. It was totally surprising. It was fast. Our waitress put in our orders, and the food started coming out quickly. The reason for the 4 stars is because the Menudo was not served hot like it should be but instead was just warm. That day, in addition, they didn't have pata/nervio. It did come with hand made corn tortillas. The Molcajete Mar y Tierra was really good, hot in temperature, and spicy. The torre de aguachiles was delicious. Maybe if I come back, definitely will not be ordering a menudo, but will order the torre de aguachiles.

The hostess was on point and attentive. I always have the chicharron quesadilla which is always good. I like the simplicity and cleanliness of the restaurant. Definitely will return.

OK, definitely had to try this place out since I've seen so many reviews on Instagram. The food was excellent. The service was excellent. However, the ambience was just OK. As soon as we walked in, all I could smell was the "Fabuloso" cleaner. We sat there for two hours, and eventually our food started tasting like the cleaner.

Food is mediocre. I was hoping for the authentic Mexican food experience but it wasn't as expected. I ordered the Chapala fajitas, skimpy on the meat portion and the shrimp were so small, I didn't realize I had eaten them. I counted 3 small shrimp. Service needs improvement. The environment is loud, music can be toned down a bit. TVs on the walls are irrelevant. The wall that is missing a tv gave a tacky look to the restaurant. Flies seem to have taken over the establishment and made the dining experience very undesirable.

Service was good I will recommend the servers to provide the utensils separate from your plate, instead of putting them inside your rice and beans including the spoon!!!.... that was awkward.I tried 1 of each tacos gobernador, shrimp and also fish the gobernador was really good and tasty shrimp one over fried and fish no taste whatsoever.My Dad order the Mar y Tierra molcajete it was ok but shrimp over fried as well.Music was good

Went there and just didn't think the hype was worth it. The food was just like any other place, the service was mediocre at best and it was hotter inside than it was outside. I get that they don't pay people back for services but please don't be cheap with your AC. Not worth the price.

This place blew up on social media, not sure why after going here this morning. First of all it's dirty, the floors are so gross, trash everywhere. The little containers in the tables where they put all the salsa/salt/pepper were FILTHY i would not use any of that on my food. Ordered a pina colada, it was nasty and watered down, didn't even taste like a pina colada. If you can't make those drinks, why even have them on the menu? I took one sip and sent it back. Thankfully they took it off my bill, i didn't ask for them to do that because at the end of the day i did order it so i appreciate that. The food took literally 50 minutes to come to the table and we only ordered one thing to share which was the breakfast molcajete. The food was very subpar i wouldn't say it was great and i wouldn't say it was bad. but 50 minutes for some beans and raw onion in salsa, 1 piece of thin steak 1 piece of chorizo is crazy to me. I think i was just so hungry at that point that i just inhaled whatever they brought out. Male server there was not attentive at all. It was funny after we complained about the food taking too long he began bringing small things one at a time to the table. Plates and silverware, then the salsa. but the whole 45 minutes before he pretty much ignored us until we flagged him down and asked about the food. Majority of the tables being helped were big parties, everyone else was kind of being ignored i noticed.Absolutely will not be back here, it kind of ruined my sunday morning. Had higher expectations so that was upsetting.

Okay I wasn't going to blast them but they deleted my comment on tiktok. Because they know it's the truth. Food is gross. All seafood is rubbery. Not even worth the price. Then the service don't get me started sucks. That place before was chapala was a meat market. And still smells like it. And the vibe of the whole place. It's America I expect someone to speak English. Sorry that your dishes I never heard of. Then it's too damn noisy. Every one us screaming over the music. I would have give thus zero if I could. If this gets deleted. It's too real...

Chapala has a great selection of authentic Mexican food . I would always go for lunch or dinner until I recently just found out they are starting a new brunch menu . The food was delicious and the service was top tier . Mimosas are new over there and have a great price and taste they're so good you can't go wrong especially for a nice brunch date. I believe the servers name was patty , she is amazing , very polite & on top of everything great service all around I highly recommend 10/10
