Beans were a bit bland and soupy and there was way too much onion in the enchiladas. Definitely not worth the price we paid and I paid with cash.

There are several Castaneda's in the area, and my review would apply to the Palm Springs, Desert Hot Springs and Cathedral City locations as the service and food quality is consistent.I like that Castanedas is open 24 hours. I usually get the Enchilada Plate (cheese enchiladas, rice, beans, a bit of shredded lettuce and tomato. While I am not a fan of the 'salad' (it tends to get soggy quickly from the beans and enchilada sauce) i love, love, love, the cheese enchiladas. I wish tortilla chips were provided free with the meal. I usually use the drive thru but when i have eaten inside, the dining room has been clean, the restrooms clean, and my meal has been prepared quickly and correctly. The menu is extensive: but can be a bit hard to read when dining inside as the descriptions are in a small font. The staff is always respectful and professional.I recommend Castañedas as an inexpensive alternative to the many tablecloth and white napkin 'sit down' cafes in the area.

Always drive by this place but always continue. I decided to stop and get a couple of tacos. The tacos were small but decent, however, they were not worth $5 apiece. Overpriced Mexican food in Riverside is a bad idea.

This place has the laziest workers. I work late and when I show up anytime past 1am, they never take my order. They keep you waiting at the order box until you get annoyed and drive up to the window where some fat lazy cook or cashier come and tell you they're "cleaning". Really? Cleaning 3 days in a row at different times? These late night workers are lazy and do not care about their business. Every other Castanedas I've been to stays true to their 24 Hour commitment except for this one. These late night workers just sit in the back and do not work. I'm going to try coming here one more time and if they don't take my order, they will be hearing from the BBB.

The castenada i was a regular customer Prices very high And castenada on university don't buy Menudo no homini The San Philipe was Carne asada tasted aweful the soft taquitos I ordered the meat in it was aweful spent 59.65 And 1 burrito Not good Now this is castenada on university Very pricy and not good cooks not a satisfied customer Last year great cooks and before that now very expensive and not good
