Service - 1 star - given an initial drink at the bar when I first walked in. Tim still going as I leave this review 18 minutes later and no one else spoke to me. Done my best to try to catch people back-and-forth unable to even get a basket of chips or salsa or a menu to decide on food. Hopefully somebody comes by so I can at least cash out and leave.Drink - 3 star - Margarita was not good or bad. It was just a mediocre margarita but of course it came obtains alcohol so that's always a positive. Nothing wrong with it but nothing special at the same time.Good - not Reed because I was never able to get a menu during my time at this is Aaron. This place is convenient, but unfortunately, the staff really made this a poor visit.

We stopped by here on a weekday evening. Place was practically empty. We got seated right away. The menu they gave us was rather lite (the black one) and not the bigger menu you see on other pics. Don't know what's up with that (maybe when it's slow, that's the menu that is offered). The food was OK, kind of lacking flavor. Their salsa was kinda like a watered down picante type. Service was good, but don't know if we'll be back.

The shrimp cocktail definitely is so refreshing and hits the spot during these summer days! Service was great, our waitress, Rosa, was so sweet and gave great feedback on what to order. Unfortunately we were told the air conditioning hadn't been working for a week so with this heat it's not ideal. Hopefully the AC gets fixed soon.

They aren't true to business hours. Sundays they show they open at 9:00am it's 9:15Am and there's not a working soul in sight. -- we ended up going to the other Casa Jimenez that's true to hours off California Oak and had a wonderful experience. Service was great, workers were punctual and the food was yummy too.

We hadn't been here in awhile and we're so glad we came back. As of recently, Casa Jimenez Jefferson is under new ownership and it's made a huge difference! We loved the $5 margaritas, especially the Guayabera. It's also awesome that they offer $10 lunch specials all day long. We tried several of them and they were all great!

I've lived in the area for 10 years and have not heard or read good reviews about this location. I pass it twice a day and rarely see cars parked in their parking lot. Due to time constraints and limited choices in the area, I took my son here to cool off and get a meal during a short break he had working a 14-hour shift outdoors. It was over 100 degrees that day and cooler outside than in the restaurant! We started with chips and salsa. The salsa was like strange tasting ketchup and the chips had no flavor. I wasn't hungry and ordered a chile relleno a la carte. My son ordered a shredded beef chimichanga combo. The server was a nice young man. Once he brought our food, he never came back to check on us. The chile relleno did not taste fresh. The sauce had a tartness to it. I'm not accustomed to having green sauce on it and thought that might have been why it was tart. Although the portion size of my son's combo was plentiful, he said it tasted terrible and choked half of it down just to get sustenance and because I had to pay for it. With the salsa being disgusting and my son's rice being dry and tasteless, I asked for a small bowl of pico. When the bill came, I was surprised to see I was charged for it! With money being tight and the food barely edible, it gave me heartburn to see my bill was almost $30.00! The only thing that place has going for them is their décor and music. I don't see how they've stayed open so long! I give Casa Jimenez on Jefferson 1 star at best, only for the decor and music.
