Six years ago I gave this location one star. There service and good quality have come a long way. This is my go to place for chili colorado or shrimp cocktails. The staff is super friendly and always on the ball with their service.

I am both sad and satisfied about writing this review. We've been wanting to come here for quite some time, but we're a bit concerned due to the reviews. First, the customer service was very nice. A beautiful young hostess came to greet us immediately and asked where we would like to sit. The colors of the restaurant are absolutely stunning. It is very vibrant, and I am here for it. After sitting down, we were brought chips and salsa by a sweet young man. I am normally a green salsa type of girl, but at this place, I prefer the red as it is the least spicy. Unfortunately, the red salsa also seems to lack flavor... or salt. The waitress came over and asked what we wanted to drink, and if we are ready to order. We asked for lemon water and a few more moments. My husband played it safe and ordered two beef enchiladas with rice and beans. I ordered the #75 red snapper plate. I tried to replace the French fries for a healthier option ... like a vegetable. I was told they do not have vegetables there . I asked for Bleu cheese dressing that was brought to me in the actual container from the store. Okay. I was really disappointed in the rice and beans also, there was zero flavor. I was happy that salt and pepper were on the table. My husband was also disappointed in the seasoning. My red snapper looked beautiful but was Really dry and again flavorless. Would I come back here to eat? Unfortunately, no. But... the service was good... so don't believe that part of the reviews here. It is a family run business that just needs a bit of guidance. Your menu is too big. The salsa is better fresh. A bit of spot cleaning would be lovely. Also, why is that sign in the front on Florida street still broken? I wish the city would get it together and fix the store fronts.

Not authentic Mexican and super greasy food. This place has a huge menu and I can see why the food here is frozen and heated up in the oven to make it look authentic Mexican when it's not. Super old interior and decor. Service is good.I got sick from eating here and it's probably because they cook with lard, a lot of it!Will never be back here.

There is a Casa Jimenez restraunt one block from my home. This morning, instead of using Doordash .... I thought I'd just take a walk over to the restaurant, and order take-out. The waitress/hostess took approximately 10 - 12 minutes to acknowledge our presence. I thought perhaps they were very busy....after taking a head count there were only 3 tables occupied in their large dining room. After I requested a few menus....it took another 10 minutes for the hostess to offer me ONE menu to look at, only right up at the cashier's station. By this time we decided to speed things along by ordering one of the specials on the dry erase board posted in their unkempt, dusty wait area. It is a hot summer day. There was no air-conditioning inside of the restaurant. I ordered 2 beef taquito specials, 2 aguas frescas, and a side of guacamole. My friend & I got back home and sat down to eat. There were 4 taquitos in each order there was small pile of half wilted lettuce and about 1 teaspoon of guac, and 1 teaspoon of sour cream. The taquitos were so hard they could not be chewed.Inside of each taquito were a few strands of extremely dry "shredded beef". which was not shredded. One of my 4 taquitos didn't have any meat at all inside. They were topped by the smallest amount of grated Monterey Jack cheese. It looked disgusting .They were also the smallest taquitos I've ever seen served by a restraunt in my entire life. Thank goodness I ordered the side of guacamole, which was more like smashed avocado with no added flavor. I ate it with the free tortilla chips which came with the meal. Otherwise I would not have had a "meal" at all. The aquas frescas were good. I tried to feed a little bit of a taquito to my dog, and he would not eat it....I removed some of the "beef jerky" from one of the taquitos. He refused to eat that as well. My dog eats everything..... NEVER AGAIN. DISGUSTING !My partner took one bite....ate the wilted lettuce, and did not eat the taquitos..... I tossed mine in the trash. It was completely unedible....even to my dog. This meal cost $45It wasn't worth $2.00 Alberto's (which isn't that great) has a taquito platter for less than half the price I paid, that's 10 X's better. Now I can see exactly why Casa Jimenez only had diners at 3 tables on a Sunday morning. I would be astonished that anyone who has eaten in this unfriendly environment would ever want to return again.

Casa Jimenez is a casual Mexican eatery in Hemet. The service was fast & friendly, the restaurant had large comfortable booths, and the food was tasty.

The food is so good. We were in town for a softball tournament, nothing special about Hemet, but Casa Jimenez was a jewel. It looks basically closed down from the outside, but its delicious, we ate there twice and the guys on the team hit it multiple times as well. I had the street taco special, 4 carne asada tacos, super delicious and filling, my husband had the chile verde burrito, it was huge, others had the huevos rancheros, also large portions, and the michelada was to die for. We also had breakfast there, the breakfast burrito was the bomb. It's in a sketchy part of town, but the food is worth it for sure. I disagree about the authenticity reviews, we are Mexicans and the food is very authentic. Chile is spicy and good just the way we like it.
