Cardenas Markets

I come here every Tuesday for the $1.25 tacos, and they're always on point. The only thing to note is that it can be a little tricky to communicate if you don't speak Spanish, but they understand English, so it's never been a big issue. They also have fresh agua frescas--cucumber, watermelon, tamarind, horchata, and hibiscus. I've tried them all and honestly can't pick a favorite. Great spot with solid food and drinks. Definitely underrated.

Cardenas is one of my favorite Markets like Northgate or Vallarta. I used to frequent the one in Moreno Valley off Heacock & Ironwood. This location is wonderful with plenty of pan, fresh produce, seafood, meats, and snacks. I think they just need a few more cashiers.

Such a disappointment. The past couple years I always placed my order of bolillo bread from their bakery, it was 2 dozens of bolillos I like to have ready for Thanksgiving. But this year it was not possible; even tho I wanted 3 dozen this time (36 bolillos) the lady that greeted me said that the limit was 40. And then she said that she will confirm if that was possible...she told another lady to call the manager. She supposedly called and was told that I need to buy not 40 and bumped the minimum to 45 now...I said no thank you and went to my local bakery that was more than happy to fulfill my "small" order of just 3 dozens of bolillos. Lesson learned, I'm never buying from that Cardenas Bakery

The bakery is absolutely amazing. I order this cake for my daughter's birthday it was perfect. I added the disco balls myself. They were friendly and nice this will be my new go to spot for cakes.

Rosanna in the carnicería was super helpful and kind. She provided great service and was very friendly and made me feel welcomed!

After shopping here for over 10+ years this is the time that got me a bit pissed off. I was gonna buy a money order but this lady that was attending me told me that I needed to give my work status and my SSN for no reason, awhile ago I got a money order with just my phone number and there. Idk if they are trying to do some fraud or something but yeah.

Poor service! The employees do not know their own procedures and can be a rude. Which is unfortunate because most Mexican tiendas Mexicanos are very polite. For example: Asked if EBT card can by uses at the Kitchen area. The Kitchen person didn't know. Not the first time they lacked knowledge about their own place of work.

It's now January 30th and still have not heard back from corporate or anyone even though they said they will reach out to me last year? You expect me to just leave the issue alone? Remember the pos store worker and security guard tried to intimidate me which did not work. So I'll continue updating this until someone from Cardenas reaches out to me.

Ever since Don Jesus passed away and his nephews sold out, Cardenas has gone down hill so bad that when I was there yesterday there were only 3 people there. Bought tamales and they were old and dry and just plain NASTY. The sweet bread was probably 6 days old and just hard as a rock. Not going back to this b place

I walked in the store and forgot the shopping cart and tried to exit to get a cart but the doors closed and an alarm went on like if I robbed something and have to walk to the entrance to get out and get the shopping cart.They treat you like criminal. Worst experience.
