Caffe Cocoa

Caffe Cocoa is a cool spot for coffee and other desserts at the food court at Pechanga. The drink selection for coffees, teas, smoothies etc are pretty extensive. The coffee here is actually quite good. I liked the Hot Mocha and have tried the Taro Latte, which is one I recommend. Service here can vary as the it's the one spot for coffee, drinks and desserts. Sometimes the lines can get long. They also offer milk substitutes. Overall, if you're looking for dessert and drinks this is the place for it at Pechanga.FYI, the price range is up there since you're in the casino.

I RARELY give 3 stars BUT, it just had to be done. My PARTY people which consisted of my HUBBY aka BIRTHDAY BOY & MONSTER oh pardon my MOTHER IN LAW was trying to order a DOUBLE SCOOP of GELATO but, separated into 2 cups AND they could not do that because it would be considered 2 single scoops!FYI a SINGLE SCOOP of GELATO at the CASINO PRICE of course is $7 and a double scoop is $9.50..................................................................................So we said NEVERMIND...The lady helping got so frustrated that she threw the cups onto the ground!EXCUSE ME but, why would someone get mad at a request that they could not fulfill? Shouldn't the customer be mad? Instead we just said NO THANKS...BUT WAIT! My PARTY PEEPS were so determined to get the DOUBLE SCOOPS of gelato separated so they tried ordering again at the CASHIER so...The SOLUTION: They gave us an empty cup and a double scoop of gelato so that we can separate it ourselves! Bravo!! GENIUS::rolls eyeballs::The spoon by the WAY was WAY too DEEP! SERVICE: Miserable and moody!The COFFEE: better at Starbucks!As the JOKER would say: Caffe Cocoa WHY SO SERIOUS?????????????????????????????????The DARK KNIGHT music plays in the background

My husband needed a jolt of energy for a long day at the casino, followed by a birthday party. A shot of espresso was the answer. This is the perfect spot to grab that or any other drink for energy. He enjoyed his espresso shot. I love Gelato and just had to try some. The lemon cake flavor was out of this world. I'd definitely check this place out again next time I am at the casino.

Sweet tooth is in full force--no wonder I'm diabetic! Anyhow, the name of this place needs to be corrected to Caffe Cocoa. As you can see from the signage there are two "Fs" not one. Hope Yelp corrects it.Their desserts and coffee here are top notch. Everything is presented in a delectable way that it's hard to make a choice. I kept vacillating between the Tiramisu and the Pistachio eclair. I'm so predictable and a creature of habit I chose Tiramisu again. Hubby got the Brownie Ganache. Our desserts hit the spot! This is our go to for our sweet tooth!Service was warm, friendly, and quick! This place and the entire food court are kept in good order and very clean. There are many tables available since it wasn't crowded. Lighting is a bit subdued and it's rather quiet save for the sounds of the slot machines nearby.

We felt like having a late night sweet, so I was gonna get a cookie, until I saw the caramel apples - and what sold me was that they slice it up for you if you'd like. So we got an apple with chocolate, caramel and peanuts - which was a great choice! The apple was delish! It was so good, I'm taking one home with me to share with my kids!Before we left the casino, I picked up a banana, mango, peach smoothie which was so good! It's a blend of juices, plus fresh banana and ice. (I'm pretty sure it's non-dairy - I had asked the lady but she wasn't 100 percent sure).They also have other sweets - truffle chocolate (which is kinda spendy), gelato, and baked goods. I haven't had a chance to try these - it's usually so freezing cold in the casino, so gelato doesn't appeal to me at the time, and the baked goods look a little dry. So I was happy with my choice of the chocolate caramel apple!!

I stayed at Pechanga this past week and was in a mood for desserts! I was walking around and spotted the Cafe Cocoa. I ordered the Mango tart and Pistachio Eclair. Both were good and fresh. I like the mango tart very much, it was delicious. The Pistachio Eclair colors were vibrant colors. It looked cool. I almost didn't want to to eat it lol. The desserts were around $7 each which is not bad. I ended up using my Easy Dine credits from Pechanga and didn't have to pay a penny. Great perk to have. The cashier and staff was very friendly and talkative. I definitely recommend giving this place a shot

My husband and I visited the food court on Sunday 9/2/2023, at about 10:45am. I just wanted to commend on the 2 ladies who were working there at that time, especially the one at the register. There were about 3 or 4 people in line before us. Although we were starving and couldn't wait to order, I noticed how patient the lady was with each customer, answering questions, putting in the orders quickly, getting the transactions done as swiftly as possible, with energy and enthusiasm, smiling and welcoming. The lady who worked behind prepping the food moved around efficiently too, quickly picked up and warmed my husband's croissant to perfection, ready as soon as our transaction was done. I commend them in particular because they are NOT young twenty-something year-olds you'd see at places like In & Out. They both look like they're in their 50's and beyond. Respect for their professionalism!

If you're coming here because you can't find a Starbucks, I suggest you look elsewhere. They don't have much of a selection to choose from and what you may want, they may not have. I tried the Thai Tea and Double Scoop Gelato, the Mocha Freeze and Vanilla Bean flavor.I got the Thai Tea because they did not have Milk Tea. According to the employee, they do not even make Milk Tea. They just have it on their menu just to have it. They also do not have Matcha Milk Tea or Taro Milk Tea. They just have Hot Black Tea and Thai Tea. The Thai Tea tasted warm, and it had a coffee taste. It tasted like Thai Tea Coffee. I threw it out after drinking 1/3 because I was genuinely disappointed. The boba however, it was perfectly warm and chewy. The Double Scoop Gelato was a decent size, but it was pretty good. I'm unsure what the texture of gelato should be, but it was very sticky. There were a few ice cube shards, but they actually complimented the gelato. There's nothing much to say about the Vanilla Bean and Mocha Freeze flavors, they taste like any regular Vanilla and Coffee ice cream.The staff are very understanding and very kind when I tried ordering a bunch of drinks that were not available. They were able to explain how they don't make some drinks and how they have some things on the menu just because.

I've had four flavors of Gelato over two visits and three of them were fantastic; Peach, Pineapple and Pistachio. The Tastumi missed it for me but for many it would also be very good. Two scoops for six bucks in reasonable. They are located in the Food Court and there is a lot of table space there. I'm no gambler and just found this place while walking around getting entertained watching people losing.

I'm a Starbucks fan for sure but this place is pretty legit without a drive thru.Their mixed coffee frappes with whipped cream give any Starbucks a run for their money...Their pastries are good too! I like their blueberry muffin, it's much better warmed up, so be sure to ask for it! Their staff work diligently and are super friendly. Don't forget to tip!When I win, they win too. karma I'll be back soon for my caffeine pick me up when I start my blackjack or poker grind.Good luck everyone!
