Cactus Cantina

I've lived in the area for decades and have never eaten at Cactus Cantina. I rarely treat myself to a steak dinner from a restaurant and I consider it a treat, but I was really disappointed in this meal.I ordered the ribeye steak. It was fine, basically exactly what I would have had if I had gone to Staters and picked one up and cooked it myself. That's not why I go to a restaurant and pay three times the price I would have paid at a grocery store. If that's what I wanted, I would have gone and spent about $8 for a steak and cooked it myself.For the sides, I got green beans and a baked potato. The green beans were blanched and had a nice crunch, but apparently, they don't season anything here. They were horribly bland and flavorless. Actually, even plain green beans from a store taste better. It was akin to eating grass flavor-wise.The potato was fine. How can you mess up a potato? Well, I ordered bacon on it, and they neglected to include it. They did, however, include chives which I did not order. So even the potato was ruined.The young lady that handed me my bag was very pleasant and I had no problem with ordering online and picking up my food (15 minutes after the promised pick-up time) but overall, this was not a good experience. If you are looking for a meal you could easily make for yourself because you just don't want to cook, this is your place. I think the problem is that there seems to be a loyal group of regulars that eat here mainly out of nostalgia keeping them afloat. Honestly, I would choose Sizzler over this restaurant.As a final note, I would suggest looking at the banner on at the top of the Yelp page. You can see the word "unclaimed." This means that the owned has not bothered to claim their yelp page so that they can be notified of reviews and address any issues brought up by their customers. To me, this says that the owner really doesn't care what their customers think. I wish them well as well as those who eat here regularly. But for those looking to treat yourself with a meal beyond what you could easily make for yourself, I highly suggest looking elsewhere.

Just leaving after a great lunch! We had a party of 20 people and Kristi was our server! She took excellent care of us and was super friendly! The food was delicious and came out so quickly! I highly recommend coming here! You won't be sorry! They even have a room for big groups if needed!

Food was disgusting!! The service was horrible. "The alcoholic drinks"had no alcohol whatsoever. Worst experience ever..total rip off.

So could have went 5. Food good. Service good. But with a pile of fajitas they only give you three soft tortillas. Tried to flag someone down to get more, no luck. No salsa so a little dry. Again tried to get someone with no luck. They also don't offer chips and salsa. At least I don't think they do. But a couple people at bar were given them but I think they were regulars and they knew they wanted them. One review says lots of TV's. Yes. But they are like 19" computer screens. Overall decent design place it just looks like I need to figure out how to order everything the first time because once you get food your on your own.

I didn't have any expectations for this place, but it was surprisingly really good. The food was really good. The ambiance was a little odd with obscure 70's music. It was late and they were cleaning up to close. Our waitress was nice but service was a little rough. It was the end of their night so they were mostly focused on clean up. Yes, I would go again. Our meals were quality.

I love working in my community and having the absolute pleasure of running into and serving one of my old friends from school.

My family have been loyal customers for years. We had amazing service from Faith, she was the best! We will be back as usual but will be looking forward to seeing her on her working day!

Last night I went to the Cactus Cantina in Riverside and I must tell you I had a "Great" Waitress. Her name was Kristi. She was very kind, personable and she gave me excellent Service. She constantly checked on me and gave me refills on my Coffee and Checked for refills on my Salsa and Chips. It may seem to you that it is no big deal... But, after Covid I quit eating out at restaurants because of the bad service and sub-optimal food the restaurants were serving! With-out hesitation. I recommend The Cactus Cantina and the Waitress-Kristi! I haven't had good service from a Waitress in a long while... I will be coming to this Restaurant and have Kristi be my waitress. This place was everything! Food was good with big portions and comes quick! Our server Yvette was absolutely magnificent! Best service I've ever had...whole staff just super friendly and welcoming. The menu has alot of different options to choose from with really good prices. Atmosphere was really comfortable and relaxing. I definitely will be making this a regular spot for me!

Food was great! I had the patty melt so yummy. Our server Kristi is so good attending to our large group of women. She is such an amazing sever being able to take so many orders and know where they belong. She is great! The ambiance very pleasant, comfortable, accommodating us well. Thank you
