"Salvadoran food is great here, atole de elote is great here. Authentic food. Salvadoran drinks are great too"
"After searching like crazy for pupusas locally, found this spot and they are pretty good.Order ahead and get them quickly with the sauce and curtido. Not a bad price either!"
"This place SMACKS. We ordered the Salvi sampler for $17. It comes with 3 mini pupusas, fried yucca, beef pastelitos, salsa, curtido. Sopa de res was good too. Will definitely be back for my fix."
"So I work near by with a 45 minute lunch so right off the bat they are busy but that's because everything is made to order. This was my first time here and I gotta say the food was delicious. I got the 3 Papusa combo and it come with black beans and rice which was really good. I haven't had black beans that good in a long time. I would recommend you call in the order just to be on the safe side. I will definitely be back to try some other menu items.."
"This was one of several recommendations that came up in my query for pupusas. Albeit quite the distance from the nest, I decided to give this place a go. The shopping center is a place of old and new and parking is abundant. I came right before the dinner crowd, so there was a wait but not too painful. Service was prompt and friendly.I ordered 3 pupusas... jalapeño y queso, chicharron, and asada y queso. All were made to order and fresh. The curtido was somewhat limp and had slight heat. So why the 3 star? Ya wanna check your order and receipt before you leave... I was too excited, yo I didn't realize they charged me a revuelta pupusa I never ordered and didn't receive. Dang. Oh, there is an added $.50 for credit card use...If this was a jump skip, I would've come back to correct and get my money back. But 24 miles round trip is just too far.... yea, I'm completely undecided if I'll be back. Sigh."
"Chivazo is super delicious and super authentic! The pupusas are handmade fresh to order so expect a little wait. If you're in a rush you for sure should call ahead. If you're new around here and are looking for a flavorful meal I recommend trying a revuelta pupusa and a queso con loroco pupusa. With this entree it will come with pickled cabbage (curtido) and salsa (not spicy very mild and more tomatoy). 2 pupusas is plenty for an adult but if you're a hungry person like myself 3 is sufficient. I also recommend the pastellitos. Super good! Think of them as this crispy empanada type filled with savory goodness. The agua frescas are BOMB! All around I had a very good experience. The place is clean, had modern decor and is well lit. The business is located behind jack in the box and pretty easy to find if you keep your eyes peeled. Plenty of parking. In my experience, everyone is bilingual and friendly. Also eager to recommend foods if you're new to the cuisine. I love it here! So yummy. My parents and boyfriend loved it too. Will take photos along my journey eating here. 5/5!"

My favorite pupusa is the loroco, and this is currently my preferred option in the area!I have only been once, but I ordered the Especial #1 (Pupusa, pastel, y empanada - I believe) and Horchata Salvadorean. The Salvadorean Horchata is interesting, with a more complex chocolate-like note.In the future, I think I will get a regular Horchata (de arroz), and I will get 2 or 3 pupusas (without anything extra). However, I certainly plan to return, and think my order was an excellent choice for a first visit!

This spot right here is so good. Food takes a lil minute to come out but because it's fresh. The pupusas are fire, the black beans are bomb, the plátano is amazing with their Salvadorian crema IYKYK!! Today i decided to try the tamale de pollo, man that's even good too.I have to tell you about the curtido too, great flavor and fresh every time! The red salsa never fails. I give this place a big 5 stars.

My husband and I have been ordering pupusas from here since we started dating--it's hands down our favorite pupuseria in the area and we try to visit every time we are in town. We love that they have plenty of vegetarian options--he usually gets the jalapeño and cheese pupusas, and I get bean and cheese or spinach and cheese or zucchini and cheese. They give of curtido and salsa roja, and they have a spicy sauce if you ask for it. They are not fast but it's because they hand make everything to order. You can order ahead to save time. I like their plantains too. Highly recommend.

Came here as this is the closest place to our new place and it did not disappoint! It's a small hole in the wall spot but the cooks know what they're doing! My husband and I came here for a quiet Friday evening. 3 out of the 5 tables were occupied. It's a good ambience too. The food was delicious. Pupusas were not greesy and the atol de elote was sooooo good! We will be coming back for sure!

Hubby was craving tamales and pupusas. Found this place on yelp and placed an order. As we looked it up on waze, it gave us an address in Pomona on Holt Ave and one in Ontario on Holt Blvd. If looking for this place, GPS to Holt Blvd, even though the yelp address says Holt Ave. Why so much detail? Well... once we got to the address on Holt Blvd, waze kept directing me on the opposite side of the street. Finally saw the restaurant and the outside sign just says Pupuseria so we figured we were in the right spot. It's a small spot so drive slowly or you might miss it. When I arrived to pick up my order, the staff was extremely nice and attentive with good customer service. Chicken tamal and pupusa requests both had good flavor.. but both were a bit too salty from what I am used to. We also got the beans, plantains and crema. The plantains were firm and the beans lacked flavor. Great customer service and food was just ok in my opinion.

"Great little hole in the wall! I walked in at 6pm on a Monday and asked for an estimated time. The worker said it depended on what I order, I said I would be ordering 4 pupusas and she gave me an estimated time of 20-25min. I thought this was reasonable, because they were being made from scratch.I ordered the following pupusas:Chicharrón: I could not really taste the chicharrón, but it did have a little spicy kick to it. Fair pupusa, nice size and good maza(dough).Revuelta (chicharrón, beans, cheese): This one has a little more flavor due to the beans and cheese. Again, fair pupusa.Bean and cheese: This pupusa was my favorite! So simple, yet so flavorful. The beans tasted great, along with the cheese. What really brings THE FLAVOR are the toppings. You are give a side of curtido (cabbage salad) and a tomato based salsa. Both of these were excellent! In addition, I was asked if I wanted a side of hot sauce and I decided to get it. The hot sauce was very spicy, but good. I would recommend to go easy on it!I plan on returning for the bean and cheese pupusa and possibly trying a different filling!"
"Yummm yumm yumm A little cramped inside an a tad bit hard to find because of the bigger stores next to it But once you find it , you will be happy that you did. The food was super fresh! And worth the price"
"Delicious! Not sure why they weren't added to Yelp yet, but I had to let my fellow Yelpers in on this amazing restaurant.I ordered bean/cheese, and chicken pupusas and plantains with crema and beans. I asked for the plantains well done; I like that crisp on the edges.Everything was made fresh to order and you can tell they put love into everything they make.Overall everything was very tasty. I will definitely be back to try the casamiento (rice and beans) and some other flavors of the pupusas. They had zucchini, loroco, cheese for vegetarians also.Don't hesitate, place an order on Uber Eats for delivery or pickup. They also take walk ups."
"I needed to kill a bit of time and I was hungry. We went to this spot because it was walking distance. It was quiet with the television on but not loud. The waitress was quick with taking our order and the food was good. I added salt to my plate but it had the basic flavors that need to be in the dish. They offer both mild and spicy salsa with a jar of curtido at the table. We love having access to unlimited toppings with this dish."
"Another visit to The Guac, and this time was BEST of all! I called in an order of 11. The patient lady could not speak English but fortunately I speak pupusa. The pupusas were larger and thicker than before, super hot, and some of the insides came out and made amazing crispy spots. Yum. Mrs. Yelper took some to work for a co-worker, who is naturally now terribly beholden to Mrs. Yelper. You can't get these too many places."
"I believe they changed ownership despite the name of the business not matching the menu restaurant inside the building when ordering. The pupusas were alright. I wasn't like "oh wow!" but it was good. Service was great. Wait time for pupusas are usually a cool minute but that's normal because it isn't tacos and requires more time. When I went in, hardly anyone was there but this place looks like it's in a good location, so I expect it to be more busy during peek hours. Over all I would recommend."
"I love the pupusas here! I usually get the loroco, but I've tried the espinaca, calabaza, and camaron-- never been disappointed. My roommates typically get the chicharron and asada. They've had nothing but good things to say! The filling ratio is on point and the pupusas are always super fresh. As for all the reviews mentioning poor service, I've never experienced that here. My roommate is the whitest of white boys who grew up in the south and had never heard of pupusas before. They still treated him kindly and made sure to clarify ingredients and ensure that he actually got what he wanted. So I'm not sure where the perception that they treat you poorly based on ethnicity or familiarity with Salvadoran food came from. Tl;dr: The pupusas are delicious. The people are friendly and helpful."
