"Our favorite sushi spot in Riverside by far. We've gone to basically every sushi joint within Riverside and Joe's is the one that has consistently brought us back.Their staff is incredible and friendly.Their chefs are masters of their craft.Portion sizes are just right. They brought back all you can eat.Pricing is second to none and they don't overwhelm their rolls and sushi with too much rice to fill you up.Their muscles are succulent and fresh, unlike some of the other restaurants whose muscles are pre made and kind of dry.Our favorite items are the pepper salmon, the always classic Philly roll, the tamago, and the pink lady roll.Inside the restaurant, it is clean and quiet. Three TVs are usually playing things like golf or a nature channel making for a child friendly environment as well.Sara, Danny, Brianna, and Amy handle the front of house and are extremely friendly and helpful. If you're looking for an affordable yet quality sushi experience in the inland empire, look no further.Joes sushi is where it's at."
"Everything was delicious. The service was exceptionally good. We enjoyed the cozy atmosphere inside. My family thoroughly enjoyed everything and will be back again."
"This is where you can get wagyu hot pot with no added frills for under $35. Choose the size of the protein you want, and your usual accoutrements of broth, veggie plate, and rice are included.I've never seen spinach ramen before, and it's sooo worth the upgrade. What I loved most is that you can tell this place is beloved by the community when almost everyone there are return customers. If you're around Chino, check it out and let me know what you think! Thanks for reading! ^-^"
"We saw the 50% off banner on display so here we are. We arrived a few minutes early and found the doors closer. At exactly noon, a server opened the doors to let us in. It has many seats to eat sushi at the counter as well as many tables and booths.Taiyos has a wide selection of rolls, bento combos, udon and ramen. The price for all-you-can-eat is $40 per person. My friend and I each ordered a ramen and a roll for lunch. Food arrived promptly. But I found the ramen kind of blend. Wasabi and ginger in the tray was so little that we had to ask for more.Overall it was a mediocre experience. The service was good but food & taste was a kind of let down."
"After finding out that a different local sushi restaurant was not open, we opted to come here because it was close by. The branding and aesthetics of the restaurant made me believe that it would be a little bit on the modern/pricey side, which was okay since we were celebrating a special occasion. As we entered, we were greeted by the friendly staff and they were very accommodating when we needed a bigger table for our increasing party size. The sushi was fresh and the rolls were very good! They gave a mountain of ginger, which was an instant A+ in my wife's book. The "regular" udon came with a fishcake and soft boiled eggs and was very good. The ramen seemed a little underseasoned until I tasted that it was the perfect compliment to the salty pork slices. I wish the portions were a little bigger, but it's not a big deal.We usually skip the desserts at restaurants and opt for other locations to satisfy our sweet tooth, but we stuck around and had a few mochi ice creams and regular and tempura ice creams. The tempura one is huge and is very good. Beware of the whipped cream though, as you need to dig through a mountain of it to find the rest of your dessert. The servers were amicable and helpful. The price was surprisingly reasonable, and the food was great! Hope to be back again soon!"
"Perfect place for last minute date night. Ayce menu, good price , friendly staff and chef. Delicious sushi."
"I had AYCE lunch here today. We were seated quickly, and the general ambiance was inviting. Everything was very fresh & good! The service was prompt & polite. My favorite menu items were: King Tuna Roll, cucumber salad, and the Dragon Roll."
"I have seen this place for a while, but I just grabbed something here the other night with Uber Eats. It was so good. I had to try it in person and I have to say it is a smartest thing I've done all year.Jasmine was my server, and you can tell that she really likes her job. I asked her about her recommendations and she was actually excited to share her knowledge and experience with the menu. You can tell that for her this is not just a job, but is something that she loves. And attitude like that is great to see. When it was slow, I noticed that the employees were all doing work related to the restaurant. Making sure things were stocked up, lining up things, taking care of other things here and there. Nobody was on their phone, nobody was chatting or texting, everybody was being very professional. if they are putting this much effort into the restaurant, that means they are also going to be putting as much effort into me as a customer. It's wonderful to not be treated like I'm in the way of somebody's chat.It does notend there. I opted for the all you can eat and tried something called the funky monkey based on Jasmine's recommendation. It was amazing and something I've never had before. Unexplainable. I made a pretty good dent in the menu, but I hit my limit and had to call it a day. I had an absolutely wonderful time and will be back. This place is an absolute treasure and anybody who finds it will definitely leave with a smile on their face. Please don't hesitate to try them out. I wish I had come by a lot sooner. I'm happy that I came through when I did and I can't wait to try the rest of the menu."
"This is our go to place for years now. Spicy tuna tempura roll, Playboy and the Crunchyroll. Always our first choice. My daughter likes the avocado roll and the miso soup. I highly recommends place"
"WOW 10/10 my first time here!! Me, my dad, & boyfriend came after being at the dealership all day (we got here at 8pm) and they greeted us when we walked in and were able to sit wherever. They got us drinks right away & we ordered and the food came out so fast! We got 4 appetizers of 3 miso soup, 1 shrimp tempura 5pc, 1 fried Goyza 5pc, 2 edamame (salted & spicy) & steamed rice. Everything tasted so fresh & warm & delicious, I have zero complaints! The ambiance was inviting and I really liked the music they played. The place is really cozy. Def coming back!"

THE BEST SUSHI YOU CAN EVER HAVE. I've had the cheapest, to the most expensive money can buy. And I have to say, Joes is top 5 on my list. I've been coming here for years and have never left unsatisfied. The service is amazing and attentive. Will forever love this place.

Exceptional service every time. Thank you to their friendly and attentive staff. Delicious array of all-you-can-eat items. We had a chance to order three different rounds. So many dishes to choose from and I really enjoyed everything: ramen, tempura, edamame, yakisoba, gyoza, sashimi, lobster rolls (cooked), salad (my new favorite ginger dressing). Enjoyed some ice cream at the end as well. We definitely leave feeling very full and content.

My favorite Shabu place! The quality of the meat is top tier.American, Australian, and Japanese Wagyu. They also have USDA PRIME. How can you not love this place! And I haven't even started on the flavor of the broth! The spicy Tonkatsu is by far my favorite. Ask for garlics and green onions to make the perfect bowl. I always order the spicy tonkatsu with a large Zabuton and ramen. Also don't sleep on their appetizers. The staff is friendly and they always have upbeat music playing. They also show sports games on the multiple TV's they have. My family and I come here atleast 4-5 times a month. The owners are really nice and treat you like family. Special shout out to Dayton. He has a sauce mixture that he recommended and I haven't looked back since. Thank you!

Went here with the family for a bday. The service was very high quality. Attentive and not overbearing. Refills of drinks came regularly and the table always remained organized. The sushi and rolls ranged from good to very good. I like that not all dishes came at once. Good was delivered regularly but didn't overwhelm the table. And I like that the tip is added to the bill. Very good value, imho

My husband wanted sushi for dinner but not AYCE, and my daughter found this place on trusty Yelp. We were immediately seated and just in time, as we saw more customers arriving and they had to wait. My husband chose items based on the photos on the menu & ordered oysters on the half shell and the OMG roll. The OMG roll consisted of wrapped with salmon, mango, green onion and a house special sauce. Both were delicious appetizers. For my meal, I chose the gyudon beef bowl, which was simple & tasty. My only complaint was it needed a bit more meat as the rice to beef ratio was off. I tried a piece of tempura from my son's dinner combo, and it had a light batter & was not too oily. Will probably come back for their lunch or happy hour specials! Note: 18% gratuity is automatically added to parties of 5 or more.

"***Update Still can't recommend this place enough! My husband and I came back from San Diego for our annual tradition of sushi and walk the Festival Of Lights and Stacey without skipping a beat remembered us! She remembered our story and even where we sat last year! The food quality hasn't changed, still top notch! None of the rolls disappointed, everyone was super welcoming and attentive and very helpful. Thank you Oishii Sushi for another amazing year of amazing hospitality, quality food and beautiful memories!"
"This was our first time ever coming and we had a party of 5 with a baby. The whole experience, from beginning to end, was absolutely incredible.Upon checking in, we waited for 15 minutes, and were then seated and served drinks as well as an appetizer, the Palm Springs roll. We are on keto so we are avoiding eating too much rice or carbs. Our server was Julian, who was hands down the best server I've had in quite sometime! My wife and I went with the filet shrimp and filet and lobster, which I think was some of the best we've had. Instead of the rice, we asked for more vegetables. The chef we had was very fun and welcoming, he made sure to do the fun things for the kids and crack some jokes to keep the party engaged. My daughter got a vegetable noodles, but she was not too hungry, so she didn't eat too much. The miso soup and salad salad as good, and we also ordered sake, but it was a citrus/lemon type of sake that was chilled and very tasteful. Overall, it was worth it and we will be coming back as well as recommending to others!"
"Absolutely delicious. We did all you can eat & every roll was amazing. My husband particularly liked the Avenue L. The yellow tail was the best we've ever had. The servers are so nice and attentive. Love the umbrellas hanging from the ceiling, so cute. This is our new go-to sushi joint."
"Food is always great it's hard to find a decent sushi spot with quality sushi Our new regular spot for awhile now we love bringing friends and family!"
"I have been here 3 times so far. It's a relatively small place and especially at lunch time, the line can be long. But service has been pretty fast and friendly.I usually get the regular "build your own" bowl with 2 scoops of protein for $15.50 (16.70 after tax). The portion is generous and the ingredients/toppings are fresh. I'll definitely go back."
"Good spot and good service. They had a lunch special for $17 bucks which came with miso soup, salad, 3 pieces of sushi and a roll. All the rolls are not included in the lunch special but the list had some good options. There is a Lunch A and B list. With about a $2 difference in price. Both lunch specials I think were good options. The service was good considering it was busy. A group on folks walked in right after we did."
"This is our go-to AYCE sushi spot in the Inland Empire. For just under $40 a person, the menu is pretty extensive and we like the variety of appetizers they offer. This location isn't too busy so we've never had to wait long to be seated. The dining area is dim lit and they usually have sports games playing on the TVs. The restaurant has an outdoor patio but I don't think I've ever seen anyone eat out there. We've eaten here several times and the service has been good. The workers clear empty plates off the table quickly and the sushi chefs are pretty fast at making your order. There have been a few occasions where some of the food we ordered never came or they brought us some dishes that we didn't order but it wasn't too big of an issue. For people who choose to do AYCE vs a la carte, I wish they had the option to order half rolls so we can try multiple ones without getting too full. As with all AYCE sushi places, there is a lot of rice in the specialty rolls. For the miscellaneous dishes on the AYCE menu, smaller portions would be appreciated as well. For example, I ordered the ramen thinking it would be a small bowl but it was a very large serving and it was difficult to finish. Overall, the food and service are good so give it a try!"
"If you're craving Unagi (eel) or really good sashimi, there is no place in at least a 30 mile radius that beats this restaurant. I was recently in Japan and this place has the same quality Unagi as the two Michelin star restaurant I went to in Tokyo. That fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth texture of well cooked unagi is near impossible to find in the US. But it's here y'all. Also, you have to get the Omakase here. The chef gives you the best cuts they have and that's how you eat good sushi! The pieces just melt in your mouth. The staff were very attentive but also kind enough to not interrupt our conversations. It's a really cute restaurant that has authentic Japanese decor -- an awesome place for first dates or meals with friends!Oh, I also forgot to mention -- the chef recommended us a really good sake called Shichida and wow, it was one of the best sakes I've ever had. Coming back for sure."
"Was craving some Chinese takeout, very simple, nothing fancy, but still hits the spot. AND I FOUND IT. I had my food delivered and it arrived super fast, and it tasted soooo fresh! This is my new go-to spot for those cravings, definitely recommend"
"This place was great! I came on a Thursday afternoon for lunch. It was very big and spacious inside, and bit crowded at the time. You have the choice to sit at the sushi bar or by the stove where they cook the food in front of you, hibachi style. The miso soup was flavorful. They had good ginger beer. I tried their lunch combinations and the filet mignon, chicken, scallops, and shrimp were all good. The rice had so much flavor, I loved the garlic butter. Our server was the best! He was very energetic and really put on a show for us. Our food was delicious too! I would highly recommend and definitely return. Thanks for the great service! :)"
"I used to love this place, absolutely loved it. Now that I've moved to the OC it's been harder to come back due to the distance but I finally came back for Yuzu last Friday for lunch. The nice waitress that used to work here is no longer there and the menu was completely different so when we ordered we asked if something had changed and the current waitress said they're under new management for the last few months. We stayed positive since everything seemed to be similar except for the large new laminated menu. We ordered the bento lunch and the prices seemed similar to before but when our bento boxes came out, it was pretty disappointing. The portions definitely got smaller by a lot. I ordered chicken katsu and the crunchy roll. The taste was average but the portion really disappointed me for being $20. Also the salad dressing was bright orange and not tasty like before. I used to come here because of the eggplant tempura appetizer but that is no longer on the menu. :sadface:It is safe to say that I will no longer be coming back, especially since it takes well over 45 minutes for me to get here now. Bye Yuzu :("
"The place has definitely changed since the last time I was here. This was the first place I had sushi EVER. I specifically remember this small paper menu that said there was happy hour all day for options highlighted in grey. Now this pricing was pre pandemic so I expected the prices to have changed. But going from having a bunch of options at a decent price to nothing is unfortunate. Staff I encountered were nice and the attentiveness was good. The place needs a bit of a touch up for sure. The rolls we got were good but I paid about $60 for 2 rolls and a kids meal. Inflation is a pain in the ass. Bring bag the half off menu and I'll be back."
"I ordered online, but they didn't see my order until I came in to pick it up due to a system glitch. I chose to wait and it didn't take too long. Hailey was very nice and courteous. She made up for the wait and for an item I ordered that they were out of which I appreciated. The sushi itself is fresh and tasty. I got the Hidden Valley roll, Lemon roll, and garlic edamame. They definitely satisfied my craving. I will come back, although I think I'll order over the phone rather than online next visit."
"Such a unexperienced! The food was delicious, the service was wonderful, and they were so helpful with all of our questions. It's a really cool private restaurant with Omakasa style eating you get to order from a couple menus and they give you your own sushi chef who prepares for you either a tasting or 13 course tasting. Definitely a fun experience will be back!"
"Honestly, we weren't planning to eat here - we were going to a spot nearby but their line was long and I didn't really want counter casual. Once my friend arrived, we were meeting for a weekday lunch, we decided to take a shot. The place is small and name is a bit uninviting in my opinion, but I'm glad we ate here - it was great. Nice waiter, service, food, specials. It has ayce but we just opted for the 2 item combo which was really filling for only $14 bucks, love a lunch special. Miso soup, rice, salad, and my two items (teriyaki beef and a spicy tuna roll (6 piece)). And as a bonus, the chef sent over 2 pieces of really tasty sushi. Will for sure visit again to try out dinner options."
"Our favorite & go-to sushi spot since moving to the IE - we always order their sushi combo which comes with the Superman roll, golden tiger roll & miso soup. We also order a Philadelphia hand roll & chicken fried rice and all of it comes out to roughly $40! Service is always top notch whenever we dine in & they crank out your food in about 15 mins when we place pick up orders. Koya is a weekly staple in our household & love supporting small businesses in our area!"
"*Ordered takeout via DoorDash*I was feeling Japanese food for lunch and this place always looks good so I thought I'd give it a try. Let's just say they did not disappoint! The chicken was cooked to perfection, the salad wasn't overpowered with dressing and the rice wasn't sticky. I will be going for their dine-in experience one of these days."
"So my daughter and some of her coworkers came here and a couple of days later she brought my son and I back to try the food. So we got one chicken bowl, one steak and shrimp bowl and one chicken and shrimp bowl. I can say they did not disappoint. Everything was delicious. The ambiance is really cute, they have tables located inside and outside if you choose to dine there. They also have the cutest figurines around the restaurant. Next visit I would love to try one of their rolls."
"Best sushi in 60 miles!!!! Best service in 50 miles!!! Best ambiance in 40 miles! Friendly, Family and Fun!!!!Beat fish in area!"
"We really enjoyed our late-night bento boxes! I wish I had taken a picture, but we were so hungry we couldn't wait, lol. The presentation of the meal was so visually pleasing. Everything had its own individual compartments and was neatly organized.I had the two-choice bento box, chicken katsu & salmon teriyaki. It came with salad and two pieces of mandoo. At first, I was sad because there was no katsu sauce, at least the kind that I am used to - but there was a light brown creamy sauce that was even better. My boyfriend got a two-choice bento box, chicken katsu, and salmon sashimi. He didn't want salad, and they offered to give him 2 extra mandoo instead. The amount of food for $20 bento boxes was amazzzzing! We couldn't even finish it all, but we are always happy to have leftovers. We did opt for the fried rice upgrade, which was a couple of dollars more, but it was definitely worth it. They both came with miso soup, and it complimented everything perfectly. It's a really nice plus that they are open til midnight to satisfy those late-night cravings! So good. We recommended 10/10!"
"The best local sushi spot. Always fresh, reasonable prices, great service. Always our go to"
"Food is delicious and spicy. Expect a wait, but it is worth it. The best chili edamame I've eaten."
"Enjoyed a quick dinner with my son. Had all you can eat at the bar with Matthew. This place is clean and has a friendly environment. The food and service is phenomenal. The staff make you feel like part of the family. I definitely recommend coming here."
