"I wanted to like Corner Grill & Bakery, but there was a lot I found lacking in my first visit here. First off, the food was pretty damn good. The major disappointment was my asking for my eggs "sunny and runny", as usual and finding them overcooked to the point where I doubt anyone would call them runny any more. Worse than anything, I hate food when it's overdone; especially after I've specifically asked to go in the other direction.But I think the major issue was the waiting. I came in this morning to find no one behind the counter seating. It took close to five minutes before a cook finally saw me and flagged a server to seat me. It was the same with my drink order. I'm used to breakfast joints assuming I might want coffee as soon as I'm seated and not having to tell them I want a cup five minutes into looking over the menu. Added to this was the fact of the three times I had my cup empty, the server only asked once if I wanted a refill. The other two times I had to expressly state this request.The server did bring me a freshly filled to-go coffee so the service wasn't abysmal. I just think it needs to be picked up for next time.The food was good, except for the eggs; that's the important thing. Everything else, including the service, can be corrected through time. They're still in grand opening time frame so I can forgive the lapses for now."

Let's just say I found my new pie/ cobbler place. Didn't know what to go for until I was suggested the ROSE BErry and peach cobblers .. Roseberry has 5 different berries inside. Blue, Rasp, boysen and straw. Perfect combo of tart and sweet . The peach was also good but the Rose took the crown Definitely need to go back and try the other stuff."

I placed an online order for pick up at 8, an hour later, since going back home with no churro cookie would have meant a butt chewing and another night on the couch! Though I love the sandwiches I wish they filled it more with the other vegetables. I usually have to ask for extra lettuce and tomato to make sure I eat a decent amount. The store is clean, well organized and as I mentioned before, the lady behind the counter is very nice and friendly. Not like before when you would get this big Cinnabon with tons of frosting all over the place. I look forward to visiting this establishment many more times to try their other items! If they add chat to the menu, it will save me the drive to Artesia to get my chat fix!"
