Authentic Pinoy food in Claremont! Finding this gem made us so happy. We are pleased to report that their food is delicious. We ordered the pork barbecue sticks (which came with garlic rice and a few pieces of lumpia), lechon kawali (this was divine), sisig and crispy pata.Although the flavors were definitely there, the sisig just didn't knock it out of the park for me. I'm used to sisig being crispy but theirs had mayonnaise in theirs and didn't have much crunch. It's all good though, I'll probably just order other items when I return. I'm still a fan.The service is top tier. Filipinos will bend over backwards for those whom they feed and the family that owns this business is no exception. Kindness, value, good food - Bulan has all of that and more.

The food is delicious and brings back memories of enjoying lunch with friends in Manila.Pork Liempo - Generous serving when ordered separately.Pancit Bihon - Tastes just like my grandma's cooking.Pork Sisig - Decent, but could be crispier.Their set meals are reasonably priced. The place is small with limited seating, so takeout might be a better option. However, it's clean, and since everything is cooked to order, expect a wait of at least 15 minutes.

It is sad that I made a mistake in ordering from their catering menu. I took the chance and relied on their good reviews without even trying anything. Be warned when ordering an $85 half tray sisig that's supposedly equivalent to 8 orders worth. There is also supposedly a difference between a shallow and deep half tray bs. Never ordering from here again! Take your business elsewhere!!!Reply to the owner: The fact that a customer is called a Karen shows their business ethics and morality. Please clarify your portion size so that customers are well-informed of their purchase. Thank you.

1/8/25 My 900th Review, I wanted to highlight a NEW small business Filipino restaurant in Claremont. So happy Hubby & I tried this today!Granted, we're pretty harsh critics because we have had some of the best Filipino dishes (that does not compare to home cooked) ... otherwise it would've been a 5 star! Hubby compares it to Kainan sa Kanto (KSK) but this food is made to order whilst KSK is "fast food" or turo-turo which is already pre-cooked. I read one reviewer's tip to order ahead--that I did. Spoke to Sean (Shawn?) who kindly repeated it to me when requested. Was quoted 15 minutes. Drove out to pick it up (13 minutes) & then when we arrived, noticed the huge parking lot for the establishment. Food was ready in 15 minutes as quoted, SCORE! There are 4 sets of tables & chairs that are available to dine in. It's a small space with minimalist decor, clean. Adrian, staff member who brought out my order was nice & cordial. The payment kiosk asked if I would like to sign up for rewards (I said, why not) and Bam! Got 5 free pork lumpia, of course I didn't see this on my phone until after we drove away already-- maybe next time). First off, I want to impress upon the presentation & how beautifully packaged the plates were. I love the added touch of fresh banana leaves placed under the meal. Portions are a little bit on the smaller side but enough to satisfy your craving & hunger. The chicken & pork skewers are flavorful-what I expect from bbq sticks! I preferred the chicken because it was more tender & my teeth extraction sites are still achy & can't chew well. Both equally delicious. Hubby's pork sisig was really good but he said he prefers KSK. The pancit bihon tasted pretty good but it's just plain rice noodles w/o oomph to it-but the flavor is spot on. Four stars mean there's more room for improvements & I am definitely willing to see this small business grow. The proof is in the pudding, so to speak, we shall see. I would highly recommend y'all give this place a chance to wow your taste buds! FYI They are CLOSED Sundays. Please see menu photos. Happy eating!

Great Filipino food in Claremont! We ordered chicken and pork skewers plate with garlic fried rice. Added some lumpia. Everything tasty and worth trying! I suggest not coming if you are time crunched on timing as their kitchen takes time to make the food. Worth the wait though!

Place opened fairly recently near my work, I wanted to try their Chicken skewers plate ($15). They serve silog all day which is breakfast platter of garlic fried rice, 2 eggs, and a protein of your choice. For my sides, I chose pancit bihon and veggies along with my chicken skewers. The chicken was moist and juicy and a good size. The pancit and vegetables were fresh and seasoned nicely.Wait time is a bit long since they grill to order. No tables to eat inside, it's a to-go area. The staff is nice, parking lot is a good size.

Was craving for Filipino food and tried this place out. I tried the grilled squid and the calamansi juice. The juice was refreshing, the squid was cooked well and was still tender, the vegetables was a good side dish. I would have liked my garlic rice to have a more distinct garlic taste. Portion size was ok. Worth a try

Heard about this place in the Claremont Connect Facebook group. I was starving for lunch so I decided to head over. You can tell this is a family operated place because I saw a little one back behind the counter ((smile)). The person who took my order over the phone was nice and gave me a precise time that the food should be done - please note I would call ahead as everything is cooked to order. I ordered the Pork Skewers with Pancit and Lumpia as my sides. The pork is delicious in flavor, tender and moist. The Pancit was a little salty and the lumpia are tiny but yummy. I'm partial to Lumpia so maybe next time I will just order the Lumpia see if they are larger if they are in their own order.Service was quick and welcoming. There isn't a place to dine here... there are chairs that you can sit on as you wait for them to prepare your order. Parking is on the side of the building as well as in the back.I will return to try some of the other items.Respectfully Reviewed.

So exciting to have a Filipino restaurant close to home. I've gone there three times now and all of the food is so good! The first time, I had their tapsilog and the meat is perfect! Just the perfect marinade for the beef. I highly recommend it.The second time, I got the crispy pata plate. Wow! It was the perfect Filipino party platter for one. The garlic rice and pancit complemented the perfectly cooked pork. Yum!!This last time, I got the lechon kawali plate. Crisped to perfection! We also got to Tocilog and it was very good as well.I will definitely be back to try other goodies on their menu. Excited to check out some of their newly added desserts.

I've been wanting to try this new spot since they opened about 2 months ago. I'm glad that there's a Filipino restaurant closer to San Dimas and in Claremont out of all places. (Puti town iykyk). Each plate comes with two sides. I was craving bangus with garlic rice/pancit and a side of bbq chicken skewer. My husband ordered their lechon kawali with garlic rice/lumpia. EVERYTHING was tasty. The pancit was too salty for my liking but overall I enjoyed what I ordered. I did try the taho which they asked if I wanted it to be warmed up and it tasted ok. I've never been a fan of taho but I still wanted to try it. The food was good that we ordered their sisig plate to go. When we were there, we noticed plenty of customers ordering to go and dine in. I love the clean simple interior. The young guy at the register was nice and helpful. The prices are reasonable too. It's a small restaurant but I would definitely come back to support this local business. Finally, a Filipino spot in Claremont!
