Black Dog Social Club & Shoppe

I absolutely loved visiting the Black Dog Social Club! The shop itself is absolutely adorable and cozy. I love the decorations throughout the shop and bar area. I love the pride flags and the support for the LGTBQ+ community. The coffee and snacks great! Brad is so kindhearted and I love everything he his doing with the Black Dog Social Club. We had the best time at Black Dog! We came for the drinks, and we stayed for the fun. ;)Black Dog is separated into two storefronts. From what I understand, to the left is the store and to the right is the social club. The store sells some food (premade sandwiches, salads, ice creams), drinks (canned and bottled beer, wine, and seltzers), and of course some stuff for the pooches (toys and "dog beer"). We were up in GVL for the weekend, and we could hear the live music at Black Dog from our Airbnb. We just had to stop by! We got some drinks and a toy for our dog in the store (all $7! Incredible prices). We went next door to the social club for a moment to listen to the music then ultimately went outside as it was just a bit too loud indoors for us! Outside our table had connect four, which we played over and over again through a few rounds of drinks from the Black Dog store, all while enjoying the exceptional band on a Saturday night.We loved everything about Black Dog: the kindness of the staff, the amazing band, the cute pups, and the air of complete inclusivity. This was our first time visiting Green Valley Lake and Black Dog is a huge part of us already thinking we want to go back!!

This was a charming little place, and the owner was a really nice guy. We had some beers and tacos and couldn't have had a better time sitting on their front deck and looking out at the lake, which is right across the street. Don't let the Trumpers next door bother you with their cult flags. Stop in and support this incredible little establishment.

Fun! This past weekend we rented an Airbnb within walking distance and enjoyed hanging out at Black Dog on Saturday night. The band was great. We bought drinks, played games and danced out in front - because we had our dog with us. Yesterday there was a great singer there as well and they had brunch. We did not get the brunch but it sounded amazing when I heard about it. Friendly owner, workers and patrons. Love that you are dog friendly!

Great venue for live music, food and drink! Roxanne & Brad are very hospitable and have created a great community spot in Green Valley Lake. I highly recommend coming for one of their live bands, grabbing a bite to eat & a drink from the Shop! Thank you both for creating this great space!

This is a cute little store in Green Valley Lake with a variety of different things from snacks to drinks to nicknacks etc. It appears they have social activities on various weekends/evenings. A couple of semi-locals set up tables, chairs and an EZ up out in front of the store. They provided paints, brushes, and rocks so that people could sit and paint and relax all free of charge. There is a corn-hole game set up outside. It is a really cute place. There was a live band next door. They were pretty good as well. The lake offered swimming, paddle-boats etc. so there's lots to do in this area.

We love this spot in Green Valley Lake! They always have great live music on weekend nights and Sunday morning. There is nothing nicer than sipping a brew and listening to live music while watching the sunset over the lake from the porch of the Black Dog Social Club. We love coming up to this mountain town and this shop/social club is a special spot in the community.

I've been here a few times. The location is great, right across the street from the lake. They have a good selection of beers, prepared food, ice cream etc in the shop next door. Service has been a hit or miss. One time the lady in the front checkout was very sour so we didn't come back for a while, we didn't feel welcomed. We went another time to see a live band months later and the service seemed to have improved. If you go around dusk for the live music during the summer you should wear bug spray as there are a lot of bugs and mosquitoes by the lake.

NO handicap parking as advertised and during the weekend the street parking can be non-existent.

I came up to Green Valley Lake to celebrate my 25th birthday, I felt so welcomed and comfortable. There was live music by Deep Creek, my friend and Mom played some games with me while we listened, and I even got a round of Happy Birthdays from the guests and band.I could not recommend this place more!
