Big Daddy's BBQ

I smelled this place while riding by a few months ago and finally got to try it. I ordered the pork rib plate with beans and collared greens. It was really good. Next time I will try the beef ribs.

Service is great. Typically when I come they are super helpful with questions and knowledgeable about the product they sell. Always in a great mood.Ambiance is basic. There is no indoors but they have tables outside that are covered, you can eat there. The smoker smells so good! Food is not great, sadly. I'm not sure what happened within the passed year or so but the quality and flavors has gone completely down. The greens have no flavor. The mac n chz is mush. Saddest thing, turkey leg is dry, no flavor, and not very much meat. Im disappointed because the greens used to be flavorful with smokiness, juicy, and had little pieces of smoked turkey in it. Their bbq sauce has great flavor. The brisket is flavorless as well and shredded.Overall, I'd skip. It used to be great but I'm not sure if someone took over and changed all the recipes or what :(

Ordered #3 brisket and two sides, Mac & cheese and beans. And #4 pulled pork and greens and beans as sides. It was horrible. The meat was so dry even after we added 2 bbq sauce. The side were old and dry, and the greens were so salty and dry I couldn't eat it. I'm sorry to say I won't be coming back to Big Daddy's

This place is usually good but I haven't been here in about a year or so. I got the Fam Bam on MLK day. It was the worst bbq plate I've had in a while. I was so disappointed. The meats had a weird unpleasant odor to them and the sides were disgusting. Those yams and greens needed to be thrown away and the mac n cheese was mushy. It seemed like the person that normally cooks well was not there that day or something. Yuck. When you own a restaurant, you can't leave it to just anyone to tend to. They may not have the passion and know-how that you do. I'm not sure if this is what happened at Big Daddys, but the food quality and flavor has definitely changed since my last visit. I will still return, but if my next visit is anything like my last, then I'll never eat there again.

Been wanting to try out this bbq place Everytime I come to HEMET. Finally caught it opened and it did not disappoint . The host at the window her name is UNIQUE. Unique was very sweet. We asked for recommendations and we took her advice and had the ribs, fish , Mac n cheese, collard greens , yams, pork ribs, hot links, brisket ( shredded) and chicken . We chose a big order called ....THE FAM BAM!! It came with 3 sides mentioned above. We ordered the fish separately . Everything was very good. Very expensive to me . It fed a family of 3 . The sides could have been bigger. Lots of meat not enough of the sides. The brisket was shredded and we were only given 1 slice of bread !! ONE... THAT WAS unbelievable and did not make sense other than that no complaints. It's really a drive-through place not much parking very few seats if you wanted to eat there outside ONLY really fast but the food was delicious !!!! we will be back. Thank you unique for your suggestions great attitude and big smile. It's not cheap though, we spent $70 just for Fam Bam alone and $20 for six pieces of fish. One big negative no bbq sauce on the bbq and NO BBQ SAUCE GIVEN!!?? Only hot sauce. THIS WAS VERY VERY DISAPPOINTING !! Sorry do t know what happened to other photos . But, this was there delicious fish.

I have been here three times now and they have the best catfish around! I tried another place in Hemet with catfish but they don't compare. The catfish has great seasoning, is fried perfectly and is delicious. I have always gotten great service from here as everyone has bern super friendly! This is definitely my go-to when I am craving some delicious fried catfish!

The bbq was really good. Although I didn't really like the sides I still gave it 4 stars because the bbq made up for the taste. The yams were a bit runny and a bit bland but seemed to have lots of sugar the Mac and cheese seemed as though the cheese didn't mix with the noodles so it was an odd texture. But again the bbq was the start of this dish. Maybe you'll have a different experience and next time I'll try different sides! The customer service was great and the kool aid was good as well. The service was cool but they lie and call it a gigantic smoked turkey leg and it's super small don't recommend if your wasting $14 on a small leg never again wasted $28 on you little legs don't be fooled

Just picked up two pulled pork sandwich plates a few sides. Mac n cheese, collard greens, beans, and the coleslaw. Let me tell you , that was delicious! Felt like a home cooked bbq meal. All were exceptional. The coleslaw was a little bland but still peppery and delicious.not too sweet. Loved everything else. Only thing... I forgot to grab hot sauce haha.Customer service was amazing . Thank you so much to the lady who helped me out . Forgot to grab her name but she made my day.

I got their hobo fries. Pulled pork, brisket, baked beans, mac n cheese, and BBQ sauce all over a bed of fresh french fries. I paid less than $20 for the plate that lasted me 2.5 meals by myself. It was delicious I will definitely be going back for more. I went back today 9/13/24 to find out the $19.87 I had paid before was now $22. Their hobo potato has raised from $9.99 to $14.99. I mean the food is good but with these raised prices I'm not going to be coming nearly as often. Maybe once every 6 months now. Gotta save up just to eat it seems.
