I rounded up to 3 stars, but it should be 2.5 stars only. Here is the breakdown:The hostess was very nice professional. She earned the stars for this business. The waiter was ok. His service was not outstanding but wasn't bad in any way.The food... let just say it didn't deserve any star in my book. Our order included Caesar salad, fig and goat cheese pizza, and pasta with bolognese and tiramisu. Salad dressing tasted like mayo without any trace of anchovies. Salad was heavily dressed which is a big no for me. Tiramisu has this old fridge smell as if it has been in the fridge for weeks. Either that or the cacao powder has passed it's used by date. The bolognese was fine but the pasta portion was very small. The fig and goat cheese pizza was garnished with a few wilted arugula which didn't make it look fresh or appetizing. While we were waiting for our foods we overheard the next table patrons complained about their dishes. Apparently we were not singular here.Final thought about Bella? We are glad we tried it out, once and for all. Ciao, Bella!

Food , service, wine and ambiance absolutely amazing! I ordered the calamari (spicy with chili peppers but I loved it) spicy pasta with sausage (I asked it for it to be light on the spice, it was so delicious) , the all meat pizza (yummy authentic bread and the right amount of cheese , the meat was also really good) and a Pinot Grigio wine . It was a very romantic experience and my husband and I definitely enjoyed it! (Reservations only since the seats are limited )

We visited Bella Trattoria on a beautiful day in Riverside, California, during the city's Christmas lighting event. The streets were beautifully decorated, and we were excited to catch the fireworks later in the evening. After browsing local restaurants, almost all were fully booked, so we reserved a spot at Bella Trattoria, which is located inside the lovely Mission Inn Hotel, with access from Main Street. There was plenty of parking lots nearby, and the entrance, adorned with beautiful Christmas decorations, was very inviting. However, that's where the positives ended. We were seated at a table next to a family with a newborn in a stroller, and after noticing the baby was sleeping, we politely asked the waiter to move us to another table. The waiter seemed a bit confused but eventually relocated us.When we ordered drinks, we were informed that the special holiday drink menu was unavailable because the bar wasn't open yet. We could only order regular drinks or wine, which was a bit disappointing. The food menu had a selection of appetizers, pizzas, and pastas, so we decided to try a few items. We started with the fried calamari, which unfortunately wasn't crunchy and was served with mayo instead of a more traditional dipping sauce. For our mains, I had the Italian sausage and meat lasagna, while my husband ordered the spicy pasta. The lasagna was a major letdown - the edges were slightly warm, but the middle was completely cold, which made it feel like it wasn't cooked through. The pasta was bland, and the onions, though fresh and crunchy, couldn't make up for the lack of flavor. My husband's spicy pasta, which had ground beef in a pink sauce, was more like a soupy dish than a main course. The food was disappointing overall, and while the service was somewhat slow, it seemed like the waitstaff was a bit overwhelmed since there weren't many customers. We were given complimentary pistachio ice cream for dessert, which was fine but nothing special.Overall, Bella Trattoria failed to impress us. The prices were high for the lackluster food and service, and I don't think the quality was worth it. For a restaurant located in such a beautiful area, it didn't live up to expectations. I wouldn't recommend this place based on our experience.

Came on a Friday night during Festival of Lights and even though we didn't have a reservation they sat our party of 3 (and a golden) on their beautiful patio. Everyone was super friendly and the food was decent. It is rather pricey and they don't have a huge selection, but we enjoyed all the pastas we tried. The service was a bit slow, but overall we had a nice time and it was beautiful with all the Christmas lights. If you're looking for a great location, good pasta and friendly service I would definitely give them a try.

The ambience is absolutely beautiful. If you want a delicious meal or fabulous service...This is NOT the place for you! The Bolognese was AWFUL! The House salad and fresh bread was delicious. They are extremely shorthanded, which also adds to our disappointment. When we tried to speak to the manager, Rebeca , she was very dismissive, she was filled with excuses about the whole area being shorthanded, it's not her fault what the owners and management's decisions are whether she agrees or not she has no choice. When I redirected her back to the food, she had nothing to say because she was so busy feeling defensive and making up excuses, there was no resolution or solution. I had signed the check/tip and credited to our room. She looked at my mom and I in shock and said " you're staying at the hotel ?!" Her air and attitude made us feel like she didn't care at all, and we were literally going in circles speaking with her. My mom literally told her her food was awful and she didn't like it. This is how she made us feel, and she didn't even entertain in any type of apology or resolution. Prior to asking for the manager , We left our table for 15 minutes to use the restroom, and no one ever noticed we left the table. I had to find our waitress to ask to pay for the bill. At that time because we were disappointed in the food and the service I asked to speak to the manager. Her name was Rebeca. I asked her for her managers information, she told me his name was Ben and I could call the hotel to ask for him. I am disappointed and dumbfounded by our whole experience. I would not recommend Bella Trattoria. I have had Italian food all around the world. This is not Italian food that I would recommend or call Italian. Please save your money and find a place with better reviews.
